Sudden sync problem with Windows XP professional

I have been syncing podcasts, music library, etc plus my contacts and diary with MS Outlook.
Lately (first time ever) I discovered that my Outlook contacts and diary have not been syncing, while al other iTunes items sync perfectly.
The only thing that seems to have changed is the upgrade of iTunes to the latest version within the past week.
I ran the diagnostics in iTunes - the resut was:
** iPhone/iPod touch Sync Tests **
One or more sync tests failed.
Most Recent Device Not Currently Connected:
BUT, all other test items were fine.
I do not understand why it says the device is not connected properly - the basic iTunes stuff syncs perfectly well, just MS Outlook fals to sync. I know the changes I made to iTunes podcasts all updated correctly.
I tried a full laptop reboot after disconnecting the battery etc plus I powered off the iPhone.
IS THIS IS FAULT WITH ITUNES CURRENT VERSION?
OR, is there another issue? Has anyone else had this problem? Wat should I do?

Photo sync problem with Windows Vista?

I did some searching and was wondering if there is a solution to the photo sync problem with Windows Vista. I have gone the route of changing some of my photos to bitmap files but this is was way too much work just to view on ipod. I like to email Apple but could not find a link to do so. As far as I know I have all updates but still the iPod does not sync photos. Is there an update to this that I am missing or am I stuck changing all my photos to .bmp files?

Would it make a difference if I purchased Adobe Photo Album or would I still be stuck with changing and saving files to .bmp extensions? I have Adobe Photoshop album starter but still have to change file extensions.
If someone has a solution to this problem I would really be greatfull. I did contact Dell as this is a brand new computer and that was a wash. They did give me a number for Apple but of course I bought the iPod off of ebay and has no warranty on it so unless I pay a fee I'm not calling. It just blows my mind that Microsoft and Apple can't or won't come up with a fix. But I guess when Microsoft wants you to buy the Zune or Apple wants you to buy the overpriced Macintosh why would they waste time on having there products compatible with each other.

IPhone 3GS SYnc problems with Windows 7 64 Bit

I am having sync problems with windows 7 64 Bit.
The iPhone syncs a few tracks then hangs, a few minutes later itunes tells me the iphone has timed out.
Anyone have any ideas about this. I have tried different USB ports, cleaned the apple USB cable contacts with Servisol, restored the iPhone and reinstalled itunes.
iPhone and iTunes are latest versions.

Ok here's what I did:
1) Connect the iPhone (iTunes had been installed)
2) No MTP driver installation is happening as Windows detects iPhone successfully
3) Open Device Manager
4) There seems to be 2 drivers for iPhone that are active now, although I still can't see which one is the MPT driver you're referring to.
One of them sits under Portable Devices: "Apple iPhone". If I view the details of this driver, it lists the following files:
- C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\UMDF\WpdMtpDr.dll
- C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\winusb.sys
- C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\WUDFRd.sys
- C:\Windows\system32\WpdMtp.dll
- C:\Windows\system32\WpdMtpUS.dll
The other one sits under Universal Serial Bus controllers: "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver". And as indicated by Joe above, it lists the following files when I view the Details:
- C:\Windows\system32\Drivers\usbaapl64.sys
- C:\Windows\system32\usbaaplrc.dll

Iphone 3GS - windows 7 - syncing problems with windows live mail

I brought a new iphone 3gs last week and tried to sync it with my new dell PC running windows 7 (with windows live mail).
It wouldnt sync, so I read the forums and reset the sync history through itunes.
This worked, and synced my iphone to the computer. It appears to have backed up all my contacts on the iphone to somewhere on the PC (cant find where) but it hasnt copied the contacts from windows live mail to the iphone
Have I confused anyone??

have you tried using imap instead?
if you can access your email from the web page then sounds more like a problem with windows live mail and not your BT account

Labview 7.0 express problem with windows xp professional

we get the usable error window in windows xp professional with some error & asking to send error report or don't send when using labview 7.0 express, whatever option we select the application shutdown.
please advice its urgent. i am attaching the error log file. is this the application issue or the OS problem....?

Xp seems to always ask the user about sending an error report with any application that crashes. THis is an operating system "bonus feature". Let focus on what steps you are doing to reproduce this error. Can you post the vi that is creating the error?

Sync Problem With Windows 7 64 Bit

just purchased an iphone 4 and it won't sync properly with iTunes. When I first connected it, it stated that it could not read the contents and said I had to restore the iphone to factory settings. I did this and it still throws up the same message. It does appear as a device in iTunes with the name of the phone but only allows me to have the restore option. I have also unistalled and reinstalled iTunes with the 64 bit version of the program as I am running Windows 7 64 bit addition. Any help is welcome.

are you running your computer in Admin mode? Meaning can you do all the things an admin can do when logged in as you on your computeR? I have Win 7 64bit and have had not one problem syncing my Iphone 4. TRy a differetn usb spot as well. And when you first plugged in your iphone did your OS install the driver for it? That might have something to do with it as well! try running itunes in admin mode or compatibility mode Win XP. Its not the phone but something in your systems isn't reading the phone as it should. just my 2 cents.

Hot Sync problems with Windows Vista using a Tungsten E2

Need Help solving a hot sync problem. Have a Tungsten E2, about a year old. Use Windows Vista OS. Can not sync to desktop. It worked fine for awhile then stopped sync'ing. Have reinstalled Palm Software, Have downloaded Palm 6.2. Have deleted all 3rd party apps,,,and their back up files. Particulary,,,,Epocrates apps, Took over my PDA. Installations and updates gets to synchronizing Calender and 'freezes' have left it on overnight figurng lots of data,,,,no progress. I need help. I really enjoy using this equipment. I use my PDA for all my scheduling of work shifts appts etc. I would appreciate some suggestions. Thanks in advance. Mike.

Hi.. Welcome to the Palm forums. So if I am understanding you when you try to sync it goes to calendar and freezes and never completes the sync. That being the case the first thing you want to do is go to the conduits and turn off calendar then sync and all should be successful, except calendar will not sync. What this indicates is that you have corrupted data in your calendar, most likely on the E2. Do a google search on your computer for a utility 'dbfixit' and download it to your computer. Extract it so you have the dbfixit.prc file and double click on it to put it in the installer. Then, insuring the calendar conduit is off, sync to install it. Once installed run dbfixit. This utility is free or can be purchased for (I believe) 12.95. The free version will search for corruption and problems let you know where they are and you will have to manually fix or delete them. If you register it, when you run the utility it will find the errors and fix them as well. Once all errors are fixed, turn the calendar conduit back on and you should be able to sync.

Zen Touch sync problem with Windows Media Player

Please can someone tell me how to get my zen touch to sync with WMP it worked fine until i was advised to install an update to it and it has stopped recognising it! I'm using windows Xp home and have the latest "plays for sure" firmware on the player, Also another problem i cannot install the creative mediasource software to the pc as its wants the player connected and it doesn't recognise the player either!!! the player is recognised in the device manager though can anyone help me please thanks in advance.

I am having a similar problem. I've upgraded firmware(2..0), mediasource(5.0.38), drivers(plays for sure), and Media player(), in that order. After each update, I checked how things worked. That's how I discovered I needed the next. With WMP 0, things were working fine, but I wanted WMP back on my computer. Since then, in CMS5 it takes about 7 minutes to load the player, at least 0 minutes (or sometimes not at all) to edit anything (tag info or playlist) and WMP hangs completely. I've seen that other people have gotten this combination to work with their Zen touch players. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Any ideas on how to fix this?

I am using Windows 7 64 bit and Outlook 2010. I am trying to sync my iPhone 4 with my Outlook calendar and contacs but am not able to do so. I have checked that I want to sync under the info tab in iTunes and I have the latest iTunes and the latest ios for the phone. Sync Problems with Windows seven

I recently had to re-download windows7 on my computer. I was able to download itunes and it works well. When I tried to sync my ipod i received the "erase and sync?" question. I chose to sync but itunes froze and refuses to sync. It does not even begin to sync. I've tried reinstalling itunes and the driver. I learned that if i wait enough itunes will unfreeze but it still refuses to sync. It does charge my ipod and recognizes it but it wont sync. I have tried restoring my ipod but i receive an error message that i cannot due so due to an unknown error. In case it is important I keep music saved on an external harddrive.

After docking your iPod touch click the info tab on the main screen there you will find a number of settings to allow for contact and calendar syncing with applications that use the systems vcard directories such as Microsoft Outlook Contacts. Hope this helps

AD sync problem with Windows 7 64 bit

When using 32 bit Jabber correctly syncs with the AD and pulls the Display Name and is searchable. When using 64 bit, Jabber only pulls the User Login info in place of the Display Name, which for us is just a 7 digit number @ our domain.com. Does anyone have any suggestions?

My generic question here is whether you changed the jabber-config.xml file or not? By default - on both x86 and x64 to my knowledge - Cisco mapped the name shown to mailAlias not something useful.

Is the Apple TV - iTune sync problem with Windows VISTA resolved yet?

I just bought Apple TV yesterday. Tried syncing with Vista Desktop. In exactly 2 minutes, ATV disappears, with few content synced up. Tried with XP laptop and it works. I see lot of discussion on this topic, but is there any real solution, other than returning it back?

This same exact thing is happening to me when I changed computers.
I had it working fine from my desktop, but I recently switched to a laptop and I now get the same sync issues.
I even restored my ATV to factory settings!
What gives?

Well, after looking around the forum here I found an answer that works! I wish I could remember who to give credit too though. I installed the latest Vista drivers and I got static all the time. I tried another members suggestion of disabling the X-Fi device in the Device manager every time I log off and then enable the X-Fi the next time I log in. I have great sound as long as I do that. Also, for connecting to a home system I am using the DTS-60, $00 on this website, but it works well if you havea DTS decoder. I am using the X-Fi extreme Music edition. Good Luck, hopefully another driver is on the way.

I bought an update to the original iPad an iPad 3. In was told that migrating the data from my old iPad to the new will be a snap. Alas, it isn't. My desktop is a new high end PC that came preloaded with Windows 7 Professional and I have had nothing but problems. My earlier computer was XP and everything, including my Apple interface, in particular iTunes, worked without problems. When I was trying to back up my data from the old iPad to my desktop, the only thing it would do is synchronize, then got an error message to download the latest iTunes, which I did but it still did not work. I have a lot of music both purchased through iTunes and a lot of others which were CDs that were copied to the desktop. I also have a lot of books through Kindle and other books in iBooks and audio books from other sources, plus two iPods I want to sync. I need some advise on where I find the back up feature in iTunes so I can copy all the data on from my old iPad. Your help would be most appreciated. Thank you.

In technical support, sometimes you have to make educated guesses. I'm sorry that you were offended.
iTunes does prompt when it is going to erase a device, and the message is clear.
She said in her message that she was able to successfully sync the old ipad. This indicated to me that itunes wiping the data was not an issue, because either it had been setup at the apple store (in which case it doesn't actually wipe the ipad despite saying it will*) (*based on a single case I saw), or because the itunes media folder was migrated.
Furthermore, my solution was to tell her how to backup her ipad (by either doing it manually, or as a last resort, by deleting the corrupt backup -- that she couldn't access anyway.)
I got that last part of the instructions from the "Taking Control of your iphone" book which I found samples of when I did a google search for "corrupted backup itunes".
She marked this as a solution, so it worked for her.
