Suddenly not syncing

I recently went though a lot of my events and found lots of duplicate photos, and some that needed to be rotated. I deleted duplicates, fixed orientations, now I can't sync to the iPod Touch. Music syncs fine, but when it gets to the photos, I get the following error in iTunes, "The iPod cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (-50)."
I did some experiments. If I sync certain albums, no problem, add others, get the error again.
Could I have somehow corrupted my photos? Is there a way to check the database somehow for integrity? Not having any problems within iPhoto, just can't sync anymore. ???

An -50 error is a “Error in user parameter list“, so I hope that sheds light on things for you
It may be that iPhoto cannot find a specific file to sync.
Try create a new Library - Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library' and import some pics. See if they will sync from that library.

  • IPhone iPad calendars suddenly not syncing

My iPhone 4S and ipad2 calendars suddenly stopped syncing. Checked the settings both are set to sync to cloud. Read all the help and think I have tried everything from rebooting, removing cookies etc. I am completely baffled as to why and how to fix. Please help

I actually asked you to go to icloud.com website, that is not available for ipad/iphone, you can do that on pc.
You kind of answered my question inderectly by that sentence "I have discovered that if i make or change something on the iCloud calendar in PC  it will sync with both iOS devices."
Now what I think will fix your problem is going to calendars (on both ipad and iphone)
    1. click calendars button in top left
2, uncheck all other calendars but icloud.
    3. go to settings - mail/contacts/calendars- scroll down to calendars -last line default account - change or verify it is icloud.

  • Gmail acct suddenly not syncing

I'd been using Gmail via the Mail app as an Exchange account with no problem, as well as gmail's Contacts and Calendars, and suddenly this morning it's not working.
I can access Gmail in Safari fine, and do not have 2-step verification enabled.
    I restarted the iPad.
I deleted the Mail account in Settings, tried to set it up again as an Exchange account (as before, using m.google.com) and got a verification error.
Tried to set it up as a Gmail account, got "user name or password for imap.gmail.com is incorrect"
Tried to set it up as "Other", with server imap.googlemail.com, didn't work either.
Tricks for getting gmail to sync with the ipad Mail app as well as gmail's Contacts and Calendars?

SAME, just happened today, both on my Ipad, Iphone 5 and Iphone 4.
The Gmail app works fine, so too accessing it via the Web. Something has to be up with the iOS mail app.

  • Calendars/Contacts suddenly not syncing

All of the sudden, i can't sync my calendars or contacts to my 3G Nano. Was working fine last week, but I noticed last night they were suddenly gone (on the nano). So far, nothing I've done seems to work. Any suggestions? The only thing I've done differently was to enable auto-syncing with .Mac (which seems to have a problem right now). Could that have an effect?

Hi, I have had the same problem since at least patch 1.1 (I can't remember having issues with the sync in earlier patches, but definitely had other problems instead).
Reading this post, I tried the re-setting thing a couple of times. While about 1/3 of my contacts are loading, at best, only my todo list and one out of 7 calendars are loading.
I have no idea what to do, I even tried restoring the iPod several times without luck, so I'll be going to my Apple Store in Sakae today and try and explain in my broken Japanese I'd like to have a new Nano. I'm hoping it's just my iPod, cause my Bro in Japan has the same and he doesn't have any problems with it.
Anyway, thanks for the tips guys!

  • ICal suddenly not syncing with iPod Touch

Up until I downloaded 2.0 for the iPod touch I haven't had any problems syncing iCal with my iPod touch. Now, nothing appears to be going back and forth. I have restored the software on my touch a couple of times; once I even had it restore the touch as if it was a new iPod (rather than restoring the backup). I've reduced the number of calendars. I've tried the "Advanced" feature at the bottom of the "Info" tab (i.e., "Replace Information on the iPod"). In reading other posts, I've noticed that others are having this problem with their new 3G iPhones. What is going on? Any solutions?

Same problem here and it's much worse after most recent update for iPod touch. I cannot get ANY entries to iPod Touch to update in iCal nor entries I put into iCal to update to Ipod Touch. Any help would be appreciated. I've tried everything I know to try. Thanks!

  • Notes suddenly not syncing properly?

I've been a keeping a list of iOS  7 problems which I periodically update as I come upon something new. I did an edit of that list on my iPhone 4S while my iPad  4 was updating my photo streams. When I then went to Notes on my iPad, I had two copies of that list, one the previous version and one including the additional items I'd just entered on my iPhone. Never had this happen before. Went back to my iPhone and now I have both versions on it, too.
Closing down the Notes app on both devices and then re opening did not resolve the problem.
    Anyone else having this problem?

    Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
    Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.
Here is a link to their contacts with most of the information below.

  • Rating info suddenly not syncing

On my last 2 syncs, the ratings I gave songs all vanished when they synced with iTunes. I listen to a lot of music for my work and use the phone to rate when I'm on the road so I can organize and delete when I'm sitting at my computer. Twice now I've lost the ratings of around 50 songs, which means I have to go back and re-listen and re-rate, when I should be moving on to new music. Software says everything's up to date and I haven't changed any settings or anything recently. Any thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Jeff

  • Iphone 5 not syncing calendar with exchange

We have several iPhones in our organization - both 4S and 5. We are syncing them with Exchange Server 2003 and 2010 SP1. Email and Contacts sync fine, but the Calendar does not. Anyone have an idea on what we can try?
    Thanks

Hmm ...238 views, and 14 people with the same question, but no replies?
I have spent the most frustrating 3 weeks trying everything suggested on every forum I could possibly find, and STILL I have not solved this
Everything has been deinstalled, reinstalled. Pst files have been backed up and recreated. etc etc
The only headway I seem to have made is to discover that when I create a new Outlook profile with a 'guest' account my phone will happily sync calendar with this profile, so what does that tell me? That it's a problem with my original Outlook user profile ? (If so, what should I now do?)
There seem to be so many people with the same problem - Outlook calendar suddenly not syncing - I can't believe someone hasn't identified the problem....
    Please.......

I also updated my itunes a couple days ago when i backed up my phone - could it have been that?

music is apart of a back up. however if you did not transferyour purchases before doing the back up you will have to re download them. to do so sign into itunes, on the right hand side under quick links you will see purchased. click on it and go to the music tab. all of your music will be there you will see a cloud next to them with an arrow pointing down that is where you download them there may also be an option to download all. you can do the same for any apps that you may have purchased also. after they have downloaded plug your device in and sync them back to the device. hope this helps

    Hey Oynkus,
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
You state you updated your iMac to OS X 10.8.5.  Did you update iTunes as well?
If so, you may find the calendar sync options under Info.
Sync contacts, calendars, and other info with iPod, iPhone, or iPad - iTunes Help
Sync contacts and other info with iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad
Connect your device to your computer.
Click the device button, then click Info.
Select the items you want to sync.
    Click Apply.
    Take care,
    Nubz
