Sun java convergence error - Message no longer exist

Hi
Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 7.3-11.01 64bit (built Sep 1 2009)
libimta.so 7.3-11.01 64bit (built 19:44:36, Sep 1 2009)
Using /opt/sun/comms/messaging64/config/imta.cnf (not compiled)
SunOS 5.10 Generic_141445-09 i86pc i386 i86pc
We moved mailboxes from one server to another. After that we have problems with some accounts. Users see their messages in Sun Java Convergence but can't open and read it. Error appears: Message no longer exist. We tried reconstruct command but it didnt helped.
Thanks in advance

Did you also transfer across the mboxlist database? Were both the source/destination Messaging Server instances down when you performed the move?I didn't move mboxlist database and bouth source and destination instances were up.This method of migrating mailboxes is bound to cause problems. Why did you choose to use this method rather then use the rehostuser command?
Did you change the users mailhost: parameter?I didn't changed mailhost.Do both the source and destination systems have the same hostname?
What exact reconstruct command(s) did you run?reconstruct -aIf you run "reconstruct -r user/<uid>" for one of the accounts reporting problems, are any errors reported?
Check the imap and http log files when the error occurs -- do you see any errors?There is no errors in imap and http logs.Interesting. Which emails return "message no longer exists"?
Newly delivered (unread) emails, emails delivery prior to migration, emails delivered after migration or some combination of all three?

Shane.

  • Webmail - Message no longer exists

    We are experiencing a problem that users of the Webclient experience the error:
    "Message no longer exists" the message however does exist en with a refresh can be viewed normally.
    As such we gather that this error means "Message does not exist yet" or something similar instead.
    It happens to a wide variety of users using a variety of browsers.
    We currently use:
    $ /webmail/sbin/imsimta version
    Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.3-5.02 (built Oct 12 2007; 32bit)
    libimta.so 6.3-5.02 (built 17:05:22, Oct 12 2007; 32bit)

    Any thoughts/suggestions are more than welcome.

    Sorry to raise this issue again, but I am now experiencing the same issue.
    We run:
    imsimta version
    Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 7.0-3.01 64bit (built Dec 9 2008)
    libimta.so 7.0-3.01 64bit (built 09:24:13, Dec 9 2008)

    I note that the patches referenced in this thread relate to much earlier versions of MS (6.3), so I would have expected these patches to be incorporated in 7.0.
    We can reproduce this problem in the following way:
    From Comms Express:
    Select "Address Book" - search for an address - select the address to bring up the "compose" window.
    Enter subject
    Enter body of message
    Select "attach" and attach a file to the message.
    Select "Save Draft" a couple of times.
    Sometimes, selecting "Save Draft" will bring up the dialogue box with "Message no longer exists" after a couple of times.
    When selecting "Send", a dialogue box with "Message no longer exists" will appear.
    The only way to overcome this problem once it has arisen seems to be to logout/login to comms express.
    If I perform this procedure without first going into "Address Book", the problem does not seem to exist.
    Any suggestions?
    Dave.

  • Updated to Firefox 35.0 recently and I keep getting a Java Application error message everytime I pull up a new page

    This is more of a heads-up rather than a ques
    tion.
    I recently update Firefox to version 35. My computer operating system is Windows 7 Starter. Since adding the update every page I pull up I get a Java script error message "Error: 'console' getter called on an object that does not implement window interface."
    I followed the steps for trouble shooting extensions and managed to isolate the problem. It was an add-on extension for Youtube Auto HD 1.4. The message no longer pops up.
    I hope others out there find this helpful.

    Sorry didn't noticed it was solved.

  • Java.exe error message

    I am getting a java.exe error message after installing Oracle 8i Enterprise Edition on a Windows XP home edition. Can anyone help?

    Hi,
    Oracle usually installs it's own JDK for it's usage. Probably the paths are updated so that iAS is not able to use java that is bundled along with it. Please check the version of java at the command prompt by issuing..."java -fullversion". Please let me know the outcome for me to help you further on this.

    If your program is Photoshop Elements 12, then you have posted in the wrong forum. Your thread is now in the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum (video editing).
    Please re-post your question in the Adobe Photoshop Elements Forum or wait for a moderator here to see your thread here and move it from here to there.
    Photoshop Elements
    While you are making your move, consider
    a. what computer operating system is involved...if we assume Windows
    b. have you checked Control Panel/Programs to assure that the program is no longer listed as an installed program?
    If it is no longer installed, you might want to consider a free ccleaner run through (regular cleaner and registry cleaner parts) to get
    rid of any leftovers from incomplete installs and uninstalls. Then reinstall with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.

  • I am trying to install iTunes 12.0 on my Windows 7 PC to sync my iPhone6. I am getting error message, "Item already exists" on installation of iTunes 12.0.  Apple has no fix. Help???

    I am trying to install iTunes 12.0 on my Windows 7 PC to sync my iPhone6. I am getting error message, "Item already exists" on installation of iTunes 12.0.  Apple has no fix. Help???

    Item or object?
    For "Object already exists" or "Access denied" errors when installing try opening Control Panel > Programs and Features > View installed updates then checking for Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB2918614). Uninstall if you have it, then reboot and try installing again.
    For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • Java.lang.error message after updating blackberry protect

    I took the update for Blackberry Protect today on my Blackberry Bold 9900 with OS 7.1.0.391 and now I get the java.lang.error message on re-boot. Anyone know what this is?
    I've tried uninstalling BB Protect and still get it, also tried re-installing it and message is still there.
    What is this error, how will it hinder-impact device and is there a way to fix it?
    Thanks in advance.

    Ok I figured this out
    1) alt lglg - this will show the entire event log
    2) click the blackberry key then select "options"
    what we want to do is basically see what application or applications in the event log is causing the error,
    In order to do that...
    3) Click the blackberry key again... Select "hide all types"
    Now we don't see anything in the event log, all the filters are unselected,
    Scroll down in the list till you find the "java exception" filter, click it... You will see a small menu , select "toggle filter"
    Now you will see exactly what application or applications is causing the java exception error :-)
    Mine was facebook, it could be anything you never know,
    Now.... Open up blackberry desktop , go to applications, remove the application or applications causing the error,
    Select Update
    Your device will now update then reboot, this might take over ten minutes, be patient
    This will work :-)

  • Can't reinstall itunes on windows 7 comp. Get error message "object already exists"

    Difficulty reinstalling itunes on Windows7 machine. Despite uninstalling everything apple, I constantly get error message: "object already exists" and the install fails. I have gone through hard drive but can't find anything itunes or apple. Uninstalled everything apple in control panel. What am I missing?

    Try opening Control Panel > Programs and Features > View installed updates then checking for the Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB2918614). , Uninstall if you have it, then reboot.
    There is a strong hint here that it should resolve this issue, although personally I have that update installed and have been able to remove and reinstall iTunes without any problem.
    Click for more on KB2918614 which is an update to the Windows Installer Service released July 12th 2014. The timing and nature of the update suggest a connection with the "Object already exists" issue which affects other installations as well as iTunes.

    I vaguely remember that there was a Messaging Server bug that
    caused it to fail because JavaMail was sending it two packets
    containing the data but it was expecting all the data to be in one
    packet. I thought JavaMail was fixed to send it one packet, to
    avoid the bug, and I thought the server was fixed as well so be
    sure to check for relevant patches. And be sure you're using the
    latest version of JavaMail.
    If I remember correctly, telnet was batching the data for the entire
    line and sending it in a single packet, which is why it worked when
    using telnet.
    You might try a network protocol analyzer (sniffer) like snoop on
    Solaris or tcpdump on Linux to see exactly what packets are being
    sent.

  • Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.3-0.15 outgoing mail issue

    Hi,
    We are running Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.3-0.15 (built Feb  9 2007).
    with this java code if i change  email.setFrom(SenderEmial);   to any other email address than the mail server will send email form that email instead of authenticated which is a problem for us so that any one can misuse it. i need help regarding this issue.I think its due to lack of SSL security so i want to know that how i can enable SSL.
      Email email = new SimpleEmail();
        email.setSmtpPort(25);
        email.setAuthenticator(new DefaultAuthenticator("[email protected]","myPass"));
        email.setDebug(false);
        email.setHostName("mail.sunjavamail.com");
        email.setFrom(SenderEmial);  //By changing this my mail server is sending emails from any email address.
        email.setSubject("Hi");
        email.setMsg("Test Mail");
        email.addTo("[email protected]");
          // email.setTLS(true);
       // email.setSSL(true);
        email.send();
        System.out.println("Done");
    Thanks..

    Hi,
    I do not think this is unusual.  Out of the box there are no restrictions on From: addresses, they're not required to match the domain of the sender or match up with DNS results.  You can configure various restrictions or even modify the from address based on the users authenticated credentials, but not by default.
    See the following documentation for details on restricting From: addresses:
    https://wikis.oracle.com/display/CommSuite/Mail+Filtering+and+Access+Control#MailFilteringandAccessControl-FROMACCESSDescription

    Hello Durga,
    IPlease apply the following note 845599 and 854744. Even these notes are up to 5.0, please review the source code.
    Please make then  the following correction in include program
    LKAIPF2O :
      call function 'SD_ORDER_CHECK'                            "326856

                I_NO_WARNUNG_V1096 = 'X'                 "<<<<< INSERT
    These code correction should avoid the V1096 error / warning problem.
    Another possible solution could be the following : please check if
    you can remove the rejection code in the sales order item of the sales
    order , which is reported in the job log.
