Survey Response

Hi all,
does anyone knows, how to configure a simple survey response scenario. I created a survey which I send to customers. If the customer click on the url, fill out the survey and send it back....nothing happens.
I don't know what'S wrong....so if anybody have an idea or a good guide or blog...let me know

Hi Tobias,
When you sending a survey to a customer just append ++ at the end of the URL in your mail form. It is the tracking ID.
Also ensure that the Survey settings have checkbox, Evaluation with and without Business information Warehouse Ticked (Tcode: CRM_SURVEY_SUITE)
If you are sending survey via campaigns, ur survey should be craeted in the Marketing Application.
For every response which comes from the customer an Activity of trnasaction type 0000 gets created. Also if u check in transaction CRM_SURVEY_SUITE, there is a button called Evaluation click on that after selecting ur survey, it shall also show u the response.

    Hi Experts,
    I have set up a campaign automation scenario in CRM 7.0 but am not able to trigger next campaign element based on survey response. The campaign automation scenario is as below.
    Campaign u2013 Campaign Element 1 -> Decision Node -> Campaign Element 2
    u2022     Campaign element1 has a target group assigned. Workflow "Send target group to Channel" is selected. The Channel is set up to create Business activity.
    u2022     Set up a standard u201CQuestionaireu201D rule in the decision node to send all those BP to u2018campaign element2u2019 who have responded u201CYesu201D to the survey.
    u2022     In the u2018campaign element 2u2019 selected workflow u201Ctransfer Responder to Channelu201D and selected sales order in the communication medium.
    When I u201CStart processu201D from campaign, it creates Business activity for u2018campaign element 1u2019. The survey is also created in business activity. But, when I update survey response within the activity, it does not trigger next campaign element.
    I have even tried maintaining an empty target group in u2018campaign element 2u2019 and selected workflow as u201CAdd BP to target groupu201D. Even in this scenario, BP are not updated in the empty target group after responding to survey.
    Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi Umesh,
    When you send printed letter, the automation scenario is broken there.
    Complete automation will work only if you are sending the campaign with E-mail and survey(trackable). Only these values can trigger the follow up steps (workflows).
    If dont opt for the above mehod, you will have to creae campaigns for each step. You cannot have campaign automation. You can optimize the steps by choosing ELM to create mass Lead and TG at one shot. Later you can use this TG for next campaign.
    Automation is not possible without trackkable URL.

  • Survey Response vanishes

    a co-worker created a survey. After testing for a while, he mailed a link to the survey to his users.
    After a couple of days, he checked and the survey reports 5 responses.
    He mails the remaining users asking them to please complete the survey.
    One of the users responds back that he submitted his responses on the first day.
    On careful examination of the responses that do show, the response IDs are 17, 18, 19, 20, and 22.
    So, there is an ID that I would have expected to find, but I do not see there.
    When the user attempts to fill out the survey again, he gets a vague error that in the ULS correlates to "You cannot take the survey a second time" (seriously Microsoft? You can't just say that to the user on their screen?)
    So the user cannot retake the survey. The user's response is not in the list of responses. A response ID is "missing" in the list of responses.
    I do not see any way to examine the list directly, but from what I can see, I doubt I would see anything different if I could see the "naked" data.
    The respondent and the survey creator are not satisfied with the situation as it is now.
    Obviously the user could recreate his survey using surveymonkey or some other web site designed for surveys.
    However, I have several groups who want or need to use the surveys heavily. I am hesitant to recommend it given this issue.
    Is this common - for responses to just vanish?
    If so, does anyone know why it happens or what to do to get the responses back?
    If not, does anyone have any ideas what might have gone on?

    These survey responses don't vanish, SharePoint doesn't make incomplete entrie visible to anyone, even the administrators. 
    What you'll need to ask the users experiencing that message to do is to click on the "view all responses" link and to edit thier current entry, or delete it and then retake.

  • Activity Creation from Survey Response

    Does anyone know the standard program (or process) that is run in CRM that creates activities from the survey responses?  I am trying to implement campaign automation which is triggered from the activity via an action, but I am not sure how you get the survey response to create the activity.  Is there is a program that needs to be run to use the entries in the CRM_SVY_DB_SV and CRM_SVY_DB_SVY tables?

    Thanks for the information, but maybe I didn't state my question clear enough.
    This is what I am trying to achieve and according to what I have read in the SAP Campaign Management Best Practice document, it should be able to be completed.
    Create a survey using the CRM_SURVEY_SUITE under the Marketing folder.   Use the standard PBO and PAI interfaces (CRM_SVY_ACTIVITY_CREATE_PBO and CRM_SVY_ACTIVITY_CREATE_PAI).  I generate a URL and send it via e-mail through a Campaign in the Marketing Planner that uses campaign automation.
    When the response to the survey is submitted, it should generate an activity transaction type 0000 automatically and then trigger the next step of the campaign automation process.
    The issue that I am having is that I am never getting the 0000 activity type to generate based on the survey being submitted.  The answers are getting saved in the CRM_SVY_DB_SV and CRM_SVY_DB_SVY tables, but no activity.
    Do you know what is suppose to generate the activity from the survey response?

    It is always a bad idea to send documents by email; they can easily get damaged, lost, or misdirected.
    Better use a file sharing service like Acrobat.com, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc., then share the link with the recipient(s).

  • Marketing survey responses not received

    Dear Experts,
    CRM 6.0
    We have created a survey in CRM_SURVEY_SUITE and have included the URL for the survey in a mail form. Subsequently we created an email campaign which sends out the survey to the customers. Once the customers receive the survey, they maintain answers to the questions in the survey and click on the save button.
    The screen after this changes saying "your request is being processed" and then a BSP termination errors is received. Would someone please be able to send me a list of tasks to be undertaken for getting the survey responses. We are running a standard scenario and hence I was expecting creation of activity records of type 0000 but nothing of the sort happened.

    I would like to clarify certain things for CRM Survey suite.
    My client was initially sending survey to internal customers, means within the org, the scenario ran fine and was getting responses also.
    Now they have got a new box and they want to extend this functionality to end customers also, mean to external e-mail ids. Now I would like to know whether if we configure a survey and send the url of that survey

  • CRM Survey Responses not coming back into the CRM system - WHY????

    I am trying to implement the campaign automation. My problem now is, that I am not getting the survey responses back into the CRM System so the next campaign element cannot start.
    We do not use a BW; and in terms of the .xml for the URL generation I used bsp and not for example mailto. When I tested the URL it worked fine. I as well checked the workflows, they also seem fine. When I created the mailform and inserted the hyperlink I choosed the option no tracking as I said before, we do not use a BW.
    Can you tell me if I missed any configuration steps? I also started the internal CatServer, as mentionend in many notes.

    Hi,
    we are using campaign automation with Surveys and we are able to see responses. Maybe try these steps:
    - generate a survey like in Create, run and analyze an E-Mail Campaign with a Survey (Part 1)
    - generate the url for your survey and insert it inside a mail form,activating the option "tracking via target site" (since you need to track responses and your survey is on the CRM domain)
    -create a simple campaign that sends a mail using your mail form and pass some BP in the target group, then make them answer the survey: under "contact statistics" you should see the number of outbound mails and the number of inbound contacts with the number of BPs that answered to your survey
    Once you are sure that this scenario is working, you can set conditions in campaign automation on the type of response received in the survey, etc...     We have an Office 365 implementation and are utilizing the hosted SharePoint to collect survey responses using the default survey app.  We continually collect survey responses, but only want to have up to date information.  Is it possible to automatically
    delete survey responses older than a specified number of days?

  • Survey response is not getting submitted when sent via campaign

    Currently I have a problem in Campaign survey submission. Please help me with the problem.
    I am using ++  for URL tracking.  There are two scenarios I observe here.
    1) When I send an e-mail via the communication channel test from the
    mail form, and also set the "Test entire process" indicator   the email is sent and I am able to open the URL (within my company
    network) fill the questionnaire and submit the responses.   I can see the responses.
    However when I send it via campaign by assigning a target group, the mails are sent correctly. I am able to open the survey (with in the network)  but when I submit it is showing page cannot be displayed error,

    HI experts,
    I am facing a similar problem. while testing the survey URL i am able to navigate to the result.htm page and it shows SURVEY VALUES WERE SAVED SUCCESSFULLY.
    However while using the same in a campaign ( both with the ## and ++ ) hyperlinks, i am getting a dump and not able to navigate to the result.htm page.
    I have also checked and activated the result.htm under BSP applications but still no help.

    I have created one survey for the BP. Once the it clicks on yes or no option and submits the survey then I have to update the business partners attributes under the marketing tab in BP and also I have to store the BP record in Z table when they clicks on Yes.

    As Krishiv said, the responses are assigned to activites type '0000'. Get sure this activity type is not inactive in your transaction type customizing table. If you want to assign it to your own activity type, have a look to following thread:

  • Double click now required to use survey response buttons - why?

    If you click on a response button in a Benchpoint survey, the answer defaults to the first choice on the response list. A Double click is now required to hit the right choice.
    This is confusing respondents who have been used to a single click for years.
    What re-coding information can you give us?

    This is related to the new HTML5 parser in Firefox 4. It is a bit stricter than the parser in Firefox 3.6. You can confirm the difference by toggling the parser off.
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the filter box, type or paste '''html5''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) Double-click '''html5.parser.enable''' to toggle it to false (it will turn bold).
    Then reload the problem survey page and test again.
    I think the problem is that there is a label tag around the entire table containing the radio buttons. If you choose View Source, press Ctrl+f, and search for '''<label><table''' you will see what I mean.
    To test the effect of removing those label tags, you can copy this bookmarklet and paste it to the address bar on a survey page and press Enter to run it.

    The answers of the survey don't receive the survey evaluation.
    In the xml parameters of the survey repository. where in the system can I find that address for the mailto-parameter?
    Are there other reasons why I don't get a response?

  • Problem with ID parameter when trying to view survey responses

    Hi,
    I am creating a survey tool for Sharepoint where the admin can initially put in a number and description for the project he wants the survey to be created for. Then the admin sends out the link to the survey for the questions to be filled in by a customer.
    The link directs to a custom form I created in Sharepoint and it is composed of the link to the .aspx page and the ID of the individual survey. I created this link in SharePoint Designer:

    Unfortunately this link only works for the admin account but not for other accounts I tested. I think it is because of the wrong parameter because ID is not a global variable and only works for the user who created the survey. Is there any other variable I
    could use to send out the correct link?
    I guess I am just looking for another (custom) parameter that can be passed to my custom form.

    Yes, this is true. If user is having contributor rights then they would be able to edit other responses as well. You have to create custom event handler to stop this, where you can cancel the event if someone tries to edit other response.
