Sus usage
Dear sap gurus,
We are in srm 7 ehp 2 with ecc 6 ehp 5 and we're planning to use classic scenario with sus.
In srm, we plan to use rfx as well. So my question is if we also use sus, does it mean that our cendor need to logon to srm system to respond to rfx and auction, but to create po response and creating asn or confirmation, they need to logon to other system which is sus? Or if we use sus, then the function for responding to rfx and auction now moved to sus as well?
Please enlight me on this matter
John
Hello John,
As mentioned by Nikhil from SRM 701 onwards bidding can be done on SUS system instead of SRM system and the scenario is termed Sourcing with Bid-Decoupling. Here the Bid will be replicated to the external system i.e. SUS system and the bidders have to login to SUS to participate in the bidding processes.
But you can very well use the Normal sourcing scenario as well where the bidders will login to the same system.
Only difference is the Internal/External system selection for the bidding process.
You can refer the config guides for the same at the below mentioned location,
Goto URL http://service.sap.com/srm-inst and then navigate to SAP SRM --> SAP SRM Server 7.01 -> Configuration Guides for SAP SRM 7.01
Hope this helps you.
Best Regards,
Rahul

Hi Experts,
We have a client requirement for activating SUS functionality. The main objective is Suppliers should able to check their own Invoice Statuses which are created and posted in back end R/3.
We are using Extended Classic Scenario (SRM4.0 and ECC6.0).
My Doubts: I have come to know through some of my friends and SDN forums:
1. To check Invoice status in SUS portal, the Invoice should have originated from SUS. Then only it is possible to check/find status from SUS portal.
2. In Extended Classic Scenario, it is not possible to replicate PO's from R/3 to SUS portal.
3. Is it part of SAP standard Scenario or purely custom development would be required.
If above 2 points are true, is there any alternate solution available for SUS usage for Invoices while using ECS scenario.
Kindly advice.
Regards,
KarnatiHi Nikhil,
Thanks for your response.
In my scenario, All POs are available in R/3 irrespective of whether it is created and posted in R/3 or it is replicated from SRM/EBP (ECS Scenario).
For this sake, I would like to go for MM-SUS implementation.
My questions is:
1. Can I send all PO's from R/3 to SUS ( POs created in R/3 + POs replicated from EBP/SRM).
2. Can I get Invoice(Invoice with PO Reference) statuses to SUS, if Invoice is created and posted in R/3 with custom development.
3. Can I get Invoice(Non-PO Invoice) status to SUS, if Invoice is created and posted in R/3.
Kindly response and help to understand more about what SUS can and can not do.
Thanks,
Karnati -
AR 9.4.2 CPU usage on older systems (SUSE Linux 10.0)
Hi,
in the last few weeks, I spent a lot of time debugging AR eating 100% CPU on a very old system (it is based on SL 10.0 and can't be upgraded easily).
The steps to reproduce the problem:
- install SUSE Linux 10.0 (VERY old...). It is OK with all newer SUSE distros though.
- install AdbeRdr9.4.2-1_i486linux_enu.tar.bz2
Run it.
CPU goes immediatelly to 100%, with empty Reader, no document.
Reader is heavily communicating with X server, which can be seen with xmon tool (ftp://ftp.x.org/contrib/devel_tools/xmon.1.5.4.tar.gz).
I can workaround the problem by:
- get libs (/opt/gnome/lib, /lib and /usr/ib) from a bit newer distro (10.1 in my case)
- add them to LD_LIBRARY_PATH, therefore calling the Reader by:
/ROOT-10.1/lib/ld-linux.so.2 ./acroread
in the intellinux directory.
This workaround is not proper workaround because the Reader itself can't print afterwards and other similar external tasks.
But the workaround is enough to show that Adobe Reader is very CPU intensive on SUSE 10.0.
Can you fix it?

Greetings
CFMX expected version 8.01 64 bit.
OS: SUSE SLES 10.2 64 bit with glibc 2.4.31-*
Expected deployment: war under Application Server Container
, JDK 1.6.x
Previous Deployment CFMX 7.02 32 bit, war deployment, RHEL 3,
JDK 1.4.x
We are planning to migrate/upgrade to the CFMX8 64 bit
version but I have been reading that it requires glibc-2.5.25
RedHat 5 is not an option, we have SLES 10.2 64 bit OS which
has a supported version of glibc-2.4.31-*
I have read the following links on the web:
http://rachaelandtom.info/content/coldfusion-801-updater-64bit-linux-gotcha
http://www.talkingtree.com/blog/index.cfm/2008/5/5/ColdFusion-801-64bit-and-Supported-Linu x-Distros
http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/thread.cfm/threadid:56889
Adding OpenSUSE RPMS's for glibc-2.5.25+ is not an option due
to other dependencies on the server configuration and what
potential problems that might cause.
Any options there besides separate 32 bit install under SLES
10.2 32 bit?
Any idea what features of the CFMX8 will cause "floating
point exception" as noted on above links.
Why particular glibc-2.5.25+ dependency on 64 bit OS for
CFMX8 where a latest major distribution of SUSE, SLES 10 is at
glibc 2.4.31.
By the way I did install as war (CFMX8 Dev. Edition) on SLES
10.2 and got to the CFMX admin interface, so this is not the part I
am asking about.
Thanks for any feedback on this issue.Actually you don't need an EFI64 ROM to support 8 GBs of RAM. That is determined by the bus size and the memory controller. The ROM only determines the maximum amount of RAM that the OS can address. None of the Macs currently in production can support even the maximum supported by the 32-bit kernel. None have a wide enough memory bus. Of course newer models may support larger amounts of RAM when they are released, but for now there's not much need for using the 64-bit kernel except if you are developing 64-bit software and need to test its compatibility with the 64-bit ROM.

Unable to detect updates, 100% CPU usage by wuauserv
Lawrence,
Below is the log you requested. This was taken after renaming the SoftwareDistribution directory. The user reported CPU usage went back up to 100% at around 14:00 after which we killed the service. This is too long for one post, so I'm breaking it in two.

Clarifications on EBP-SUS and MM-SUS Scenario
Hi !
We are planning to implement EBP-SUS and MM-SUS in one Client . Request you to help us on the following issues.
1. While the outbound messages will not have a problem from MM & EBP, how do we route inbound messages to MM & EBP effectively. Should be handle it in XI ?? If ues, what is the best criteria .
2. Since both the config guides for MM-SUS and EBP-SUS scenarios include transactions for transferring Vendor & Comapny Code data, how do we check duplication. For ex : if we transfer a Vendor from R/3 and subsequently try to transfer the same vendor from EBP , is there any inbuilt duplicate check ?
3. In MM-SUS, an ASN created in SUS creates an inbound delivery is created in MM. What would happen in case of EBP-SUS i.e when an ASN is created for an EBP PO ? We are on extended classic scenario ?
4.If you do a confirmation in EBP-SUS, will a GR be generated in both EBP and subsequently in MM.
Request yr help pl.

Welcome to world of SRM.
I guess, you must have got enough details in the SRM guides.
Anyways, better to understand the basics first,, before going in detail. I hope this will answer all your queries.

SAP_EC_SUS_SERVICE_AGENT
SAP_EC_SUS_SERVICE_MANAGER
2. Choose Change Roles.
3. Choose the Personalization tab page.
Note: The personalization applies to all roles, meaning the user can also create his own roles, for example copying the delivered SAP SUS roles. He can tailor these roles to his requirements by changing the SUS-specific attributes (BBP_SUS_ROLE_ATTRIBUTES).
1. Select the entry BBP_SUS_ROLE_ATTRIBUTES (SUS-specific role attributes).
2. Choose Change values.
A dialog box for maintaining SUS-specific roles appears.
3. If required, perform the following steps:
If the role should be displayed in the SUS User Management (UM) and should be able to be assigned to the relevant user by the supplier administrator, set the indicator to display the role in SUS UM.
If the user should be displayed as a service agent for the purchaser, set the Service agent indicator.
If you want to define the user as an SRM administrator, set the SRM administrator indicator. The user is then authorized to change all supplier data.
If want to assign the role SUS administrator automatically to the user during registration, set the SUS administratorindicator.
Sets the relevant indicators if you want users to receive the following notifications: Notification If Purchase Order Not Opened, Notification If Purchase Order Response Is Missing, Notification If ASN Is Missing, Notification If ConfirmationIs Missing, Notification If Invoice Is Missing,</u>

Reduction of Samples from all SUs
Dear QM experts,
A goods receipt is done for , say 5 Containers each with a SU number (Warehouse Management is active).
The samples are drawn one each from each of the containers
After Usage decision ,Posting to Sample usage is carried out.
In the Transfer Order that is created and confirmed automatically, system reduces the entire Sample quantity from the first SU number.
How can we make the system reduce the quantity from each of the SU numbers as physically one sample will be taken from each SUs.
Regards,
SudhakarAre you using HU managed inventory? If so, this documentation should help - [http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/2d/584bcba70f11d2b44e006094b9b9dd/content.htm]. In particular refer the section on "sample calculation".

SUS-MM vs SUS-EBP (Extended CLassic Scenario)
Hi!
We have an extended classic scenario already up and running between ERP->EBP system without XI usage.
Now it is necessary to configure SUS integration for ASN creation purpose. As I can see SAP has 2 standard configuration guides: one for SUS-MM and another one for SUS-EBP, but they are not fully relevant for ECS.
Could anybody tell me please from what system EBP or ERP it is better to send PO to SUS system when we are using extended classic scenario? And what are advantages/disadvantages of this?
Thanks and Regards,
SiarheiHi Dinesh!
Thank you for your answer! It is clear that leading PO is in EBP, but why I can't use ORDERS and ORDCHG IDOCs to transfer PO and PO chnages to SUS?
One other question: do you know whether Configuration Guide for ECS exsits (like SUS-MM and SUS-EBP documents)?
BR,
SIarhei

SUS-ERP integration w/o XI
Hi!
We have an extended classic scenario already up and running between ERP->EBP system without XI usage. We are using BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER report. And we would like to Configure SUS system to make Suppliers able to see Sales Orders and create Confirmations and ASN for them.
Could anybody please tell me whether it is possible w/o XI usage? Or whether it is possible not to make harm to existed configuration if we will use XI for EBP->SUS and SUS->MM integration?
Thanks and Regards,
Siarheihi,
there is no need to change any of the exisiting configurations between EBP-ERP.
there is no direct communication between ERP and SUS.
if you want to start using EBP-SUS scenario , you need to download Service_integration scneario in XI.
you need to follow the config guide and the master guide for the details.
Purchase order is the starting point for the SUS integration
so in your case
1) external requirement comes to sourcing.
2) You should use an supplier which is SUS-enabled for the creation of the purchase order.
3) purchase order will go to SUS -->and the vendor user will send the responses.
But also keep in mind , if you want to use SUS is ECS , there are many restrictions -->
please refer to the OSS note --->

# directory for your installation.
ORACLE_HOME=/opt/oracle/product/11gR2/db
# Change the value of ORACLE to the login name of the

Then I had to delete the listener.log and startup.log files in $ORACLE_HOME because they were incorrectly owned by root. -
Please let me know the usage of def Backend systems?
Hi friends
Please let me know the usage of Def Backend systems with fields
Thanks
regards
chinna
Edited by: chinna krishna on Nov 25, 2008 5:53 AMHi krishna
In this Define Backend system . you can define all your backend system and EBp system, Catalog system, SUS ROS system. This configuration helps you to communicate with other system. and it helps to view howm many systems are connected with other systems. This configuration is mother of all configuration.
Define Backend Systems
In this activity, you specify
u2022 Which backend system(s) you are working with
u2022 Which local system you use to run your business scenario
u2022 Whether purchase orders and their follow-on documents (confirmations, goods receipts/service entry sheets, and invoice) are to be created locally in Enterprise Buyer
u2022 Whether contracts from the Sourcing application or from the Bidding Engine are to be created in the backend system (as of backend release 4.6B)
u2022 Whether SAP Supplier Self-Services and SAP Enterprise Buyer are to run in the same client
Requirements
u2022 In the activity Define RFC Destination, you have defined the RFC destinations for your systems.
u2022 In the activity ALE Settings (Logical System), you have defined the logical systems for your systems.
Activities
Define the following:
u2022 Name and description of the system. If you have already defined the logical system in ALE Settings (Logical System) you should use the same description here.
u2022 The RFC destination for the system
u2022 Type and release level of the backend system
In order to create a contract in the backend system, set up a logical system with RFC and system type CM.
If you are using supplier registration with catalog integration, you must enter SUPPL_DIR here. A prerequisite is that you have have made a dummy entry under Logical System.
If you are using SAP SUS and SAP EBP in the same client, you must enter EBP_SUS here.
u2022 Select Local if the system is your local Enterprise Buyer system.
As of SRM Release 4.0, this setting is required for all SRM scenarios. In previous releases, this entry was only required for standalone deployment.
u2022 In the column SLD ID, enter the name of the associated system in the SAP System Landscape Directory (SLD). Prerequisite: The technical name of the local EBP system is entered in the SLD. Make this setting for
o The local Enterprise Buyer system if you exchange documents via the SAP Exchange Infrastructure (XI). The ID of the local EBP system is located in the SAP Landscape Directory (or LCR). Example: PJC_CLIENT_300
o An external system (for example, SAP PP-MRP or the system of an external provider) from which, you transfer requirements into Enterprise Buyer.
o The SUS System if you use this scenario
o For the SAP Content Integrator (CI). If you use the CI to map product IDs, the SLD-ID must be available for all systems whose product IDs are to be mapped.
Hope this helps you

Can somebody help me please? What is this process? This is a bug? I can't find anything on metalink.

VitorThanks for reply. Answer for questions:
There was a bug where if you had a DB that was registered in CRS using an older version of srvctl it would cause eons to spin.
Is there only one instance on this node? Has it always been 11gR2? Are there repeating messages in $GRID_HOME/log/pceudb9/agent/crsd/oraagent_oracle/oraagent_oracle.log ?
Edit: I found the MOS note: 1062675.1
I was remembering the bug incorrectly -- it happens if you register a DB with a newer version of srvctl than the DB is. Same questions would apply, though.
Is there only one instance on this node?
oracle@pceudb9:~> ps auxww|grep -i pmon
oracle 15555 0.0 0.1 190492 88356 ? Ss Jul20 0:05 asm_pmon_+ASM1

Has it always been 11gR2? No. We upgraded this db.
