Suspended Account for no reason?

Hey guys, recently my Skype account was randomly suspended for "your security."
Not exactly sure why, None of my password information was changed, no emails were sent to show someone had tried multiple times to login, infact the only thing I DID recently was test out your beta function for the web skype on my laptop to see how well it worked.
After that login, I did a VoIP call and passed out, only to awake and my skype account of SEVERAL years was now locked out and I am unable to retrieve any of my 150+ contacts.
They said a 24 hour wait, but it is well over that time now.
So do you wanna explain to my skype support why you locked my account? I would really appreciate it.

This seems like a bug on their end. Here is why.
I am able to sign into my laptop, for some reason, on my suspended skype account.
But if I access it threw my phone or desktop, it tells me it is suspended.
So... Skype support, what is the issue here? Why are you doing this?

If you are using someone else's computer, then you need to get the Admin to sign in so you can run PS.
If it's your own computer, then you need to know the Admin's password so you can work. Better yet, YOU need to be the Admin.

Disabled account for security reasons

Sorry, but we're all just your fellow users here and cannot do anything to reactivate an account. Contact the iTunes Store customer service group through the form at the bottom of their web page and explain the problem to them. They should be able to help you sort out the problem with your account login.

Suspended account for years

imagine...a problem with my account starts in 2008. Despite many many years of calls and emails and chat sessions it still remains unsolved. Today the chat person tells me that the acocunt was created from an "illegal IP address".? After asking more questions he refuses to continue the chat and tells me that the account has actually been permanently suspended and he will not even discuss it any longer...!!! Unbelievable this service is rubbish. Since 2010 when we first found the problem we have never had any information from them, hopeless. We have only close friends and family, older family in fact whom cannot do the basic things like add a contact...we had to set up our parents computer for them because they are not techies at all.
Anybody got any ideas how to get this resolved.? They say account is permanently suspended but at least the free part is working. Frustrating taht i cannot put money into the account though...

SKYPE is in the EU and there are consumer protection agencies there that can get results from these con artist.

[SOLVED] Laptop suspends constantly for no reason

I just did an Arch Linux install by following the beginners guide. I got to the point,
where I have to boot for the first time into my newly installed system. Everything
seems to work fine, so I went ahead and started installing some more packages.
But then after about 3 minutes the laptop suddenly suspends. If I wake it up again
it keeps suspending again and again after 10-20 seconds. How can I find out why
the system is suspending all the time and fix this issue?

Maybe a suspend key or lid switch is triggered wrongly, maybe you can set the default actions to ignore in /etc/systemd/logind.conf like:
HandleSuspendKey=ignore
HandleLidSwitch=ignore
Hard to do within 10sec ...
Can you boot with the install CD and chroot in ?
There were some other recent threads about suddenly suspending...

I was locked out of it. I have about 6 different emails, and have forgot what email is my recovery email. How do I find out?
Also, I may be locked out of my recovery email, since the recovery email for the recovery email is my icloud account. *facepalm*

If you can't recall your recovery email account, you'll have to try them all. (As you've discovered, you always want this to be a non-Apple account so Apple can reach you in case you can't get into your account.)

You can't delete an iTunes accounr/Apple ID. All you can do is stop using it. What you can do is change your Apple ID password, as well as the password for your email account. That will put an end to this.

Multiple game center accounts for single appleid?

I have 2 iPhones and an iPad for family members. I use my Apple ID to manage them. How do I assign a game center account to two other family members different than the one I use to manage the devices? I'd like to play games against them but we can't all use the same game center ID.

We just had some Game Center issues. Here is how you can create multiple users on the same apple ID.
Go to Game Center.
If there is a username already visible, tap where the user name is and hit the "X" to the right of it.
Touch "create new account".
Go through the prompts.
If the account is for a minor, it will not ask for an email address. A child will use their nickname along with their password to login. BE SURE TO WRITE DOWN AND KEEP IN A SAFE PLACE. Apple's Game Center support cannot view minor accounts for some reason!
If the account is for an adult, they will need their own email address.
Finish going through prompts. Now you each have your own login and password.
Now each user can go to the game they want to play. They may be prompted to select which user is playing and login.
I am not sure why some of you would have the name change on all devices. It could be an automatic synching issue when connecting to iTunes or via iCloud. Check your iTunes preferences.
Hope this will help some of you.
Also, although you each created your own username and password, even with different email addresses for login purposes, apps will still be purchased under the original iTunes account. If a user wants to make a purchase on their own individual devices, they will be required to enter the password for the iTunes account, not the password for their Game Center account.

Help-I want to move my stuff out of admin user account to a non-admin user account for security. How can this be done?

So... I have amassed loads of documents, videos, music, photos, etc. onto my MacBook Pro all under the admin user account I set up for myself. I am the only one who uses the MacBook. I now work virtually and am online at different free wifi spots, and I want to access all of my stuff under a non-admin user account for security reasons.
I attempted to uncheck the "allow this user to administer this computer" box under my admin user account, but it is greyed out and I cannot.
Is there an easier way to fix this than backing up all of my stuff and then moving it to a non-admin account?

There is only one solution: create a new Standard user account and set it as your auto login account, if you use that feature.
Using what you describe is mostly a false sense of security. Were someone to hack into the computer they could hack into the standard account, so you would not wish to keep any sensitive data in that account. Other things to consider:
Turn on your Firewall in Security & Privacy preference panel.
Use software to mask your online presence such as ProxyCap 2.03, MacProxy, Proxifier, or Hotspot Shield.

My MAC used a different iCloud account for a password

I created a new Admin account for security reasons and I chose to create a password using my iCloud account. I chose yes, and it used an iCloud account that is different from mine. In fact, this new iCloud account is perhaps something I created years ago...
The problem is that I don't know the password. I went online and looked up this iCloud account and change the password but couldn't get past the questions. My bdate wasn't correct and nothing showed up when I reset with emails...

Yes, start with deleting your account on his device:
(Settings > iCloud or Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > Your Account)

How to delete an idevice from my account, for I sold the device ?

I sold my iPhone 4s and iPad 2 and now use a, iPhone 5 and iPad 3. How can I delete these pieces of device from my itune account for two reasons :
- I still see them with the "locate device app", but they are not mine any longer
- I need to free space on my total of 5 allowed devices

You do not delete it, there is nothing to delete.
As for the "Find My iPhone, you would have wanted to disable that prior to selling the device. Frankly restoring as new should have resolved it.
Just checked my account... and my old iPhone 4 was still showing despite being restored as new. There is an option at the bottom of the locate page to remove the device from the list, simply select that.
There is no limitation of 5 devices, there is a limitation of 5 computers being authorized for the account.
