Good reason to use a real editor.
You're right, that does sound odd.  Was the file created in Geany, or just opened that way?
... wait, here's what's going on.  Geany opened a file with Unix line endings.  It displayed correctly because Geany isn't stupid like Notepad, but Geany didn't convert the line endings when you closed the file because you didn't tell it to.  But Vim modelines take effect as if you had typed them in after opening the file.  So Vim detected that the file had Unix line endings, and opened it with fileformat=unix.  Then the modeline set fileformat=dos.  When you hit :w, Vim saved it with DOS line endings.
The moral of the story?  Don't use modelines, and if you do, don't use them to set the file format.  (Vim detects that automatically.)

We had this same case. I used web adi to moved the the classes to the right catalogues/offerings. Use the OTA_EVENT_API.UPDATE_CLASS procedure and OTA_EVENTS_V view to get all class listings. Find the right activity_version_id and parent_offering_id of the catalogue you want the classes to moved to. Use this values to change the values of the activity_version_id and parent_offering_id of the classes you will be moving.

  • Globally Changing all Instances of a CSS Style to Another

I'm working with RH6 (HTML). I'm curious if there is a
method/tool that will allow me to take all instances of a certain
CSS style and replace it with another (e.g., in the same manner
that you can using FrameMaker and Paragraph/Character Styles). I'd
like to be able to do it project-wide, but if it has to be done on
a topic-by-topic basis, that would be OK... I'm just trying to
avoid the need to locate each instance of the style and manually
    change it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey guys... thanks for the feedback. For starters, I
have created an external CSS (using RH)... So, I'm good
there. Anyway, my scenario is similar to what Peter pointed out: I
used a bad naming convention for a style, and applied it to a bunch
of content pages, and later came up with a better naming convention
(and a better set up for the style -- I know, I know... poor
planning on my part). I began applying the new style in future
documents, and I'd like to apply the style to all applicable
instances in the existing pages. So, I was wondering if a
tool/utility existed that would allow me to do so (since one does
    exist in FrameMaker).
I could just let it go, but we intend to hire a new writer in
the near future, and I don't want that person to have to deal with
my inconsistency (not to mention, it would make things a little
easier when outputting to Word, in that I'll have fewer styles to
    manage).
The concept of performing a search/replace for all instances
of the offending style name in the HTML files is a good one, and I
could try that (why are the simple solutions always the hardest
ones to realize?) Anyway, I'm assuming that all I would need to do
is perform a search for "<span class=Old_Style_Name>", and
change them all to "<span class=New_Style_Name>", correct?
And you recommend, "FAR" to do that?
    Again thanks for the recommendations!

  • How can I change the settings of all instances of a particular effect?

I've applied the same color correction effect to a lot of clips in the timeline. Now I want to fine tune the color correction (same setting for all clips still). How can I change the setting of all instances of the color correction effect without going into each clip manually?
Looking forward to your thoughts on this!! Go on and save my cold winter editing day ...

I was first hoping for File> New > Adjustment layer, but it's always greyed out. I thought that would create an adjustment layer, maybe I'm misunderstanding something? Anyway, if I create a black video stump and then right click it and choose "Adjustment layer", it will turn into one, and everything works as it should with that. If the black video become adjustment layer is placed on a video track atop my video, and I add for example color correction to it, it will be applied to the videos below.

  • Edit find/change (not finding all instances)

I am using Edit>Find/Change to change a brand name in a document — however, this feature is not finding ALL instances of the brand name. I am having to manually/visually edit through the entire doc. Suggestions?

    Hi,
You could check whether "Case sensitive" is switched on in your find/change dialog. Also check that your find format options are cleared. Click the "More Options" button if the find format options are not showing in the dialog.

Fix incremental compile which broke at some point since Flex 3 due to compiler changes.
ResourceManager.fetch() assumes a local file and uses java.io.File to check if the file exists. Files within swcs such as framework.swc$Assets.swf and framework.swc$default.css will never exist so they triggered a recompile. For now, put the dependency on the swcArchive file itself since that does exist in the file system.
The dependency checking is still weak and could use some more work but at least now it doesn't recompile every time when there are no changes.

I enabled the settings in the labview.ini
I found some text files that looked like logs "LabVIEW_8.5_Matt_cur.txt" "LabVIEW_8.5_Matt_log.txt". Which contained some error logs and call after I tried to compile. I attached some logs from my attempts to compile. For the errors that referenced a vi and a statechart guard, I remade the vi and the referenced guard. The others all have
    ..... /drawmgr.cpp(3570) : DAbort: Couldn't create 24 pen Error ==0
in common and some had a
....../image.cpp(13927) : DWarn:  could not get hdc error = 0
warning. I'm guesing these are related to the graphical problem I'm getting with explorer. But since I can't decode the call stack I'm not sure what the source is (assuming the cause is within the call stack).
It looks like LV 8.6 Beta is going to open soon. Does anyone know if Vision will work with it? And Is there any kind of obligation to use the beta regularly? Since if it doesn't help much, I'd probably just end up removing it.

  • Animation Question: Changing all keyframe instances in a single layer all at once?

I am working on an animated piece in Adobe Flash. I have a
single 'head comp' layer that contains head, eyes, mouth, etc.
layers within. I have created several keyframes in this layer to
animate the entire head comp. Furthermore, I have several keyframes
within that comp for lip sync, eye movements, etc.
My problem is, I have to manually change every single
keyframe in the head comp layer to sync up with the animation
contained within. For example, if I have a keyframe on the main
head comp layer-- on frame 5-- I have to manually select frame 5,
go to Properties panel, change to "Play Once," and then type in the
frame number in the "First" field. I then have to repeat this
process several hundred times across the entire layer. There must
be a faster to to sync up the whole layer. Please help!!!

    Thanks again for your help.
I think my problem here is, I'm not trying to move any frames
or anything. I just want to change the properties panel of each
keyframe in the layer to "Play Once" and have the number in the
"First" field match it's frame number (example: I want to change
the "First" field to "10" if the keyframe starts on frame 10. That
way it will match up with my lip sync animation on frame 10 of the
nested layer within.) Does that make sense? I have been having to
change each keyframe number in the layer manually. It takes
    forever.
The "Play Once/Loop/Single Frame" option isnt available if I
dont create a motion tween. Again, I'm not trying to move my
animation-- just change all of the Properties at once.
Also- if this helps- I am working in CS3.

  • Can I set an mx control property globaly for all instances of the control.

Is there a way of setting the value of a variable on a control for all instances of the control in the application?
For example, I have several instances of an mx:Label and I want to change the enabled property for all instances at once rather than refer to each one individually by id.

One way is to subclass Button and change its enabled getter to watch some static property.  You don’t really want to change Button itself because Buttons exist in lots of places like ScrollBars.

  • Triggering "exit" event of a drop-down list in all instances of a table row

I have a drop-down list in a table row with multiple instances that performs a calculation on the exit event. This calculation draws information from 2 other dropdown lists contained above in non-repeating rows of the same table.
The desired behavior is: should the user change their choices above, all instances of the drop-down list below would perform the "Exit" event script  accessing the new values above.
    My script is:
    RowOptionalCoverage.DdlCoverageType.execEvent("exit");     this works, sort of
It only updates the first instance of RowOptionalCoverage and none of the subsequent instances. The user can "Tab" through the instances and trigger the Exit event for each instance, but this is not a reasonable solution.
I have tried using the resolveNodes method without success. I understand, using the resolveNodes method may be necessary when referencing multiple instances of an object:
    this.resolveNodes("RowOptionalCoverage[*].DdlCoverageType[*]").execEvent("exit");     doesn't work
    xfa.resolveNodes("RowOptionalCoverage[*].DdlCoverageType[*]").execEvent("exit");      doesn't work
No doubt, I must be using the resolveNodes incorrectly or missing something? Probably something simple.
    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

PERFECT!!! Works right out of the box!
This has opened my eyes to the essential nature of loops. My form is very large and complex and functions correctly, Yet the coding is lacking in sophistication--no loops, functions, fragments or other code efficiencies. I am teaching myself (with the help here) and I have skipped learning and using some techniques when I could things to work using the  limited skill set I have.
Sometimes, I just don't "get it". After I fail a few times, I skip it and try something else. Functions are a great example. I could utilize a bunch of these if I could only write one that works. It is frustrating. If I got one to work, I know could write a ton of them. But, there is some essential part of functions I am missing that's preventing me from having my first success with them. (I think it has to do with not understanding arguments completely).
Anyway, I am overjoyed with the solution you provided and I understand it well enough to be able to use again in other situations.
    Thanks again!

  • Has anyone experienced text going missing after using Change All in the Find Font dialogue box?

I manage an artwork production studio and two members of staff have separately reported that when using the Change All command to substitute fonts in InDesign's Find Font dialogue box, some text disappears from their documents. All affected text is originally set in the same font, and most of the conversion is fine but a few instances of text are actually removed (not reflowed). In the latest reported case, only four or five instances of text were 'deleted' across two pages of a 20pp document.
I've found a link that refers to the same issue but it's unresolved (http://www.listsearch.com/InDesign/Thread/index.lasso?20041#last)
I haven't been able to replicate this behaviour but would be interested to know if anyone else has experienced it and if so, under what circumstances it can occur, and what work-rounds or fixes are available.
Applies to InDesign CS3 and CS4, have not tested with CS5 because we haven't upgraded yet.

Joel, I am having the same problem you described. I have read of similar posts on PrintPlanet.com. Someone there thought it was a different text engine or something in CS4 which may be causing the problem.
I don't know what causes this but I believe it can be traced to a previously created file in CS3 is saved as a CS4 document.
The fonts associated with this problem for me are always Gill Sans, Palatino and some form of Helvetica. There may be others but these are the ones we notice the most.
Today I worked on an InDesign CS4 file. When I opened it I was given a missing font warning. I went to Find Font and it was different typefaces of Gill Sans that was missing. When I changed the missing font to Gill Sans Regular entire lines of text disappeared. I closed the document without saving it and reopened it. I did the same thing in replacing fonts. This time no text disappeared. Not reflowed; not white; not hidden—gone.
This is what I have been seeing for the past few months. The disappearing text is random and cannot be duplicated, though fonts may disappear in some other place. You never know where text will just disappear.
The workaround I have found is to export your file to an INX document and reopen it in CS3. You have to replace all missing text before saving it as INX, though. To my knowledge CS3 has never had this happen.
The workaround, though it works for me, is annoying. I'd like to know what to do to resolve this issue. What's the use in having CS4 if you can't trust it completely.
I use a Mac running 10.6.3. I also have running Suitcase Fusion 2.

  • How do I create parent/child relationship between objects? so that if I change one, I change all

I have multiple instances of an object, and I would like to make any changes that I put on one of these objects to perpetuate and change on the other instances of the object

turn your object into a symbol, and place multiple instances of it on the artboard, when you edit the symbol all instances will update.

  • Weird: changing file or link associated defaults then changes ALL defaults to the same program

Y'know... I thought I'd possibly 'seen it all' but today someone brought me a laptop with something I don't believe I've ever seen...
every link and file association is defaulted to the wrong program, and it is not possible to restore the association to the proper program for the respective file types.  And changing one
association changes ALL other associations for every other link to a file or shortcut.
For instance: 'right-clicking' on what I KNOW to be an Adobe Acrobat file and selecting 'open with...' from the context menu, Adobe Acrobat is not shown (even after un-installing and re-installing Acrobat).  So I 'browse' to the Program files (x86)
folder and select Adobe Acrobat (AcroRd32.exe) from within the Adobe Acrobat program folder to 're-associate' .pdf files with Acrobat..  BUT - this then changes ALL associations for everything  (including shortcuts on the desktop) to Adobe Acrobat.
And the same can be said if I attempt to change the file association for a "docx" file extension (MS Word document).  Change the 'association' for one single 'docx' file and this results in ALL files or shortcuts on the desktop to also
    change to MS Word.
So - what the ...?  Anyone have a clue as to what he's done on this "brand new" installation of Windows Home Premium (64-bit)?  I only just (this past week) talked him into 'abandoning' XP in favor of a license of Windows 7 Home Premium,
and afterwards everything was 100% and fully operational - but now one week later and he's done this...
So...  A registry issue..? Something to do with 'file association' defaults? (and my suspicion is some sort of 'dll' problem with this performance and the issue of not being able to configure 'program defaults' for any given file type without also affecting
    all other associations...).
So,short of backing up all his data (out of precaution) and trying to do a 're-installation' of Windows, my most immediate response with this would be to just 'blow it away' and re-install Windows again ... and then copy all of his data back to the corresponding
locations.  But I would like to know what he's possibly done (for future reference) and maybe learn of some possibility that this can be 'fixed' and the correct 'associations' re-established without having to re-install Windows one more time...
GAA! THIS is why I shave my head...

    Hi,
According to the description, it seems that the issue is caused by some corrupted registry entry\keys, a corrupted registry key can be caused by an malware\virus, or an bad-coded program or just some incorrect operation by the user. it's hard to determin
which is the culprit, but we can try to repair it as we could.
Please refer to the following link and see if it helps, (backup your registry first before editing the registry)
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950505
we can also create a new user profile instead and copy files and setting from the old profile

  • In logman, should All Instances include _Total?

    Hello
If this question has already been asked and answered elsewhere, my apologies.
I want to collect IIS worker process perfmon data using logman.  When I add counters in PerfMon, choosing All Instances gives all instances (each w3wp process for each application pool, plus _Total).  When I try to get the same in "logman
    create counter" using
    -c "\w3svc_w3wp(*)\*"
All I get is _Total, none of the individual instances.
Through getting the wrong end of the stick about parent/instance#index (from
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb490956.aspx), I happened into trying
    -c "\w3svc_w3wp(**)\*"
which gave the individual instances but not _Total.  I've tried a combination of using (**) and (_Total), but that gave the individual instances only.
I'm sure I'm doing something simple wrong and would appreciate someone telling me what it is.
    Thank you

    Hello again
I've continued trying to collect program counters for all instances, not only _Total, and not only every individual instance bar _Total.
I thought that it was just Logman that didn't agree with my expectations, but I'm having the same problem with Data Collector Sets made in PerfMon.  When running live in PerfMon, I'm collecting for all the instances, which translates as "*" when adding
the counters, but specifically names the instances when I look in
System Monitor Log for that Data Collector Set
Logman query for that Data Collector Set.
(Presumably this means that the application pool worker processes would not be picked up if the application pool recycles, thus changing the ID number at the start of the instance name.  But that does not apply to processor instances.)
But when I look at the binary log file in PerfMon, I'm only seeing counters for instance "_Total".
So, it seems that the recorded counters are the same whether I use logman and specify instance "*", or whether I use PerfMon and create a new Data Collector Set from the current live counters.  I only get results for _Total, not for individual instances.
I would appreciate guidance to documentation that explains that this is the expected behaviour, or an explanation of how to collect the counters for the individual instances other than in real time.
    Please help.  Thanks

  • Change Workflow-Instance-Container values

    Hi Experts,
I would like to ask you how to change a value in a container of a Workflow-"Instance".
    For e.g.:
I have a workflow-instance which contains a (bor-) Object "Switchdocument". This switchdocument contains also a (Bor-) Object "serviceprovider". And I would like to change the value of the parameter of "serviceprovider".
How is the relationship between the "father"-object and the "child"-object and where are the relationship saved?
I know the table "sww_cont" and "sww_contob". But these tables are not enough, aren't?
Because in the mentioned tables (sww_cont) I see the elements with their values of the container of the workflow-instance. I don't the elements with their values of the object (father-object) contained in the workflow-instance-container and also not the elements with their values of the object (child-object) in the father-object.
    or (explanation as a list)
    Workflow-Instance-Container:
    1.element
    2.element
    3. Switchdocument (object)  (father-object)
    3.1 element of switchdocument
    3.2 .....
    3.3 Serviceprovider (object) (child-object)
3.3.1 element of serviceprovider  <--- here I would like to change the value
I hope I explained the situation in a detail way
I apologize if I don't use the right terms!
If anyone has a hint or a way to get to the "child-object" I would be very thankfull.
Thanks a lot for your answers in advance!!!
    with lovely regards.

    Hi all,
at first I thank you all for your answers!!!
As I understand the values are permanently saved in the subobjects. Like I said the subobject (Distributor) with the attribute, e.g. Serviceprovider in Own System = 'X' is contained in the Object Switchdocument.
That means for me that I have to retrieve the attribute of the subobject via a method for the special instance and change it, e.g. to set it blank.
I have forgotten to say that I am developing a report (se38) to change all attributes of workflow-instances with object/subobject.
As I said above in a condition step it is asked whether a "serviceprovider is in own system". if yes (means = "X") then the process has another way. And I have to change the "X" to "blank", so the workflow goes always the, in my case, second way.
For the next time, I will explain my problem in a more detail way
    Thanks again.
    with kind regards!

    Werner,
First check the instance.properties file to see if it has picked up the change.  You may need to change it there.
Also, these need to be changed in your default profile:
    j2ee/scs/host = <host>
    j2ee/scs/system = 44
    j2ee/ms/port = 3944
Also, you have max heap specified twice, make sure this is only specified once by taking it out of the body of the java parameters.  It can cause other problems being in there twice.
[Thr 182906379008] *** WARNING => Maximum Java heap size specified twice (through maxHeapSize and in javaParameters) - using -Xmx2048M [jstartxx_mt. 2604]
