Swap use on Itanium with 10.1.0.3

i see on my box hp rx2600 Itanium more and more use of swap :

it is normal .... my setting of sga is :

the actual number of user is 700 ,this is usually idle session jdbc .....
moreover I have noticed an increase of the swap during I/O operations ... (es backup ) nearly occupying completely the 8 gb of swap.
there is normal (new algoritm of VM pages ) or is synonym of problems?
my kernel is :

Never mind. Supoprt got back to and said that it's not supported. It looks like I'll have to wait for the next release of OEM before I can effectively monitor 10.2 with Grid Control..

Swap Used 30 GB with Mavericks on Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013

Hello everyone.
I get 30 GB (and even more) of Swap Used data using Final Cut Pro X with 3rd party plugins. After importing several video files into FCPX, it quickly starts using all the amount of physical memory - 16 GB. When FCPX starts to render 3rd party effects, Swap Used becomes active and numbers are gradually increasing up to 30 GB with a 4 minutes video render. And then, quite quickly FCPX shuts down "unexpectedly", as it says.
I also noticed, that other 3rd party applications are freely using Swap Used data, after all of the Physical Memory is used.
I hope to get a clear explanations and comments on this particular issue.

OpenCL as I heard CUDA can cause problems. GPU switching is disabled. and I am using 10.9.4, oddly enough I think it was slightly better when I had 10.9.2 but I cant go back.
Using software mode as rendering is not an option as that gets to about 60% after 20min and still gets the Mac very hot on which I cancelled, as I didnt want it to crash again. Just so you know my video footage is 2min of full screen recording, some jpeg's and some basic transisition effects. Not what I would think would be that intensive for it to handle.
As I said before FCP rendering the same footage, same effects, and same quality takes 2min to render, however I really want to use premiere as I love the dynamic link server process with AE, its just not usable for me at the moment.

Use menu rollover with disjointed Rollovers

I am using a menu with disjointed rollovers but I want to know how I can have rollover images on the menu as well without using the restore image function. I want to have a rollover swap image on the menu item and when it is clicked on the main image changes and stays changed until another menu item is clicked. I can do this but the menu rollover image stays "on" even when the mouse is not over it.

i finally figured it out. i opened the html file in dreamweaver and in the behaviors panel, change the tag to "MouseClick" swap image.

As I said, the 10-fc12-045d error would not be due to the drive's being AFT, but more likely the discs are not being read properly. New discs can be obtained from Toshiba. Scroll down to Get Recovery Media here

I'd like to swap out the standard Flex TextArea used by
RichTextEditor with the DynamicTextArea Greg wrote about in his
article here:

I used RemoveChild to remove the existing TextArea, and
AddChild to add the dynamic resizing one in my already extended
RichTextEditor class but o fcourse that doesn't completely hook it
up to my RichTextEditor.
Is there an "easy" way to do this? I'd like to drop the
DynamicTextArea into a RichTextEditor and have it assume all the
functionality the default one does without having to do anything
different where the RichTextEditor is being used in my app.

HELP- Over 1 Gigabyte of "Swap Used" in Activity Monitor RAM!

I have a late 2013 Retina Macbook Pro running Yosemite, with 8 Gigabytes of RAM. I noticed that on the Activity Monitor it shows that I have over 1 Gig of "swap used"! In the screenshot it says 974 megabytes, which is still bad. I've heard that it's okay for your memory usage to be high as long as the memory pressure graphic is green, but I've also heard that swap shouldn't be used, especially not 1 Gig of Swap.
I'm not running any high intensity programs, only Safari, Spotify, iMessage, Mail, iTunes, Chrome, and things of that sort. Why would it be so high?
High swap used is a bad thing, because it uses the SSD and shortens its lifetime. I don't even know why I would be using it, as I'm not running anything very intense.
What can I do? What should I do? Should I re-install Yosemite from scratch? Does anyone know what app could be making this happen in the background?
Kernel-Task and WindowServer are the processes that are using the most RAM that I don't know anything about. A screenshot is attached.

Safari normally uses over 1 GB of ram even if I only have a few tabs open.. often I have videos loaded, though. I think I'll clear out cookies, cache of safari and then possibly re-install Yosemite.

How do I use your iPhone with multiple iTunes libraries

Hi, I have my music spread out between 3 seperate Itunes libraries on 3 different profiles on my computer. I have the newest generation Ipod Nano, Ipod Shuffle, and Iphone 4s. My Ipod's are both full, so I've decided to start putting music onto my phone. With my Ipod's, I can plug them into one profile on the computer, download the music on the Itunes library that exists on that profile, then do the same with the other profiles with no issue. However when I try to do this with my phone, It asks me to erase the music I have gotten from one Itunes library and sync with the current library, as soon as I plug it in to a different Itunes on one of the other profiles. I have my Iphone configured with the Manually manage music option, and I still haven't found a way to use my Iphone with multiple music libraries. PLEASE HELP

They seem inconsistent as far as the iPad is concerned but in both articles the iPhone appears to only be able to sync to one library at a time.

Thanks for taking the time. Unfortunately no that does not solve it. Same as swipe it will get me there and it will show separate programs spaced out. The issue I am having is that all my open word files are bunched up in a pile on top of each other. I can see the edges of each one but I want them to be separated from each other enough that I can visually identify what file is what.

my actual requirement with this query is to get the required date from a table to generate the report either as daily or weekly or monthly report. If I use repository variables, variables are not getting refreshed until I regenerate the server(which I should not do in my project). Hence I have created a table to hold weekly start and end dates and monthly start and end dates to pass the value to the actual report using between operator.

Are there advantages to using Adobe Bridge with Premiere Pro?

I frequently use pictures with my videos. Normally, I use Windows Explorer with the picture viewer to browse for what I'd like to use. I've experimented with Bridge, finding it to be a memory hog and slow. It got me wondering - Are there advantages vs. Windows Explorer?

Bridge can be used to easily add hierarchical keywords to large amounts of clips (and afaik it's the only tool in the Adobe suit that can do hierarchical keywording with video files). Those keywords can then be used to find clips inside of Premiere. On large projects (1000+ clips) that can be a life saver.
Apart from this and the features you mentioned (the cross software color stuff is useless for video as of CS6), I did not find any use to Bridge for video. Plus as you said, it is a memory hog, slow and in my own experience unstable with / not adapted to video.

Using AJA IO with the FCP Voice Over Tool

Has anyone used the io with the VO tool? I have gotten it to work in the past, however, there are a number of convoluted settings to go through to get it to work. It seems intermittent. Today it doesnt want to work at all.
Does anyone have a list of the specific A/V settings, Capture presets, etc, that i need to have set in order for this to work?
FYI--I have never had a problem capturing from tape--(using log and capture with beta, digibeta, dv, vhs)--only when capturing analog audio using the VO tool.

You can do it here, in the Audio/Video settings under the Final Cut Pro menu. Click on the Capture Presets tab, then go to Generic Capture Template, duplicate it, then edit. Give it a name that you can recognize when you need to set up your project.

No, nothing will prevent the computer from going to sleep when you close its display except third-party hacks that are designed to do exactly that. I strongly advise against using any of those, as they may interfere with successful entry into clamshell mode (and they carry other downside risks as well). Just wait until the computer is asleep (with its sleep light pulsing), then press any key on the keyboard. It sounds as though your setup is working as it's designed to do.

If it's an ATV2 or 3, you can use AirPlay. AirPlay automatically becomes available when the two devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.
