Purchased CS5 (WIn) Student and teacher edition. I have subsequently gone to university and use a Mac.
Is it possible to swap the license to CS5 mac and download the software?
If not, how much does it cost to upgrade to CS6 and is this available on DVD media?

There are no upgrades with further S&T discounts. That being so, you would simply buy a CS6 version for Mac. There are no disks, just downloads these days (unless you buy a retail package with a code, but those get fewer every day as stock runs out).

For a retail license you can either use it on a MAC machine or a Windows. The same serial number would not work on both the platforms as the serial numbers are OS specific. If you want to use the software on the MAC machine too then you have to purchase another retail license for MAC.

Unfortunately only the most recent Suite, CS6, is supported with the option to swap platforms. You would have to install a Windows emulator on the Mac for a chance at installing the version you have.

No, it's not possible. CS4 is no longer eligible for any upgrades, so a platform swap is out of the question. You have to buy a new license.

You don't want to think in terms of moving anything. Just install the Mac version of Lightroom on the Mac and see if the serial number you have works to activate it.
