Swf not appearing in browser
Hello,

For some strange reason the swf that i have embeded into my 'banner' div is not appearing in the browser.
For the life of me I cannot figure out why??
Got any ideas??

The answer is very simple, there is no swf embedded in your page.
Your banner div is empty -

Check you have uploaded the correct page, and that the link you provided is the correct one for the problem.

According to your description, my understanding is that the Edit web part option disappeared in the list web part.
I recommend to check if the account has permission to edit the web part, please check the permission of the account in Site Permissions and the list permissions.
Please also check if the target audience is set in the web part.

Server side include does not appear in browser
I've imbedded a server side include within an html file. I
can see it in the Dreamweaver design previewer, but it does not
appear when displaying the html in a browser. I've tried saving the
included file as "html", "htm", "shtml", and "shtm". Nothing seems
to work.
Any guesses?On apache, you have to use either shtm(l), or PHP. And in the
event that
you use the latter, the include directives must be PHP

After installation of FCE Upgrade 3.5, Objects Do Not Appear in Browser
I recently upgraded to FCE 3.5. To save disk space on my primary hard drive I installed the Live Type media files on a secondary Lacie 250 gig hardrive. The files appear on the secondary hardrive but some objects do not appear in the browser when I open Live Type and click on the object tab in the browser. (only four appear in browser). I went to preferences of Live Type and my computer appears to know that the media files are stored on the secondary hard drive - ie it got the secondary drive location correct in LT preferences.
What can I do to make the LT media files appear in the browser so that I can use them?

So, your page looks OK to me in Firefox, but when I tried to check it in IE, it choked my browser and closed it.

Flash .swf file not appearing in browser when publishing from iWeb 3.02
I have been working on a site for the last couple of months that i created in iWeb 2.0 and had successfully had small flash movies that I embedded via html snippets from code provided by numerous sources and youtube videos demonstrating how to get flash movies into one's site.

Today i upgraded to 3.02 and had to make a change to the home page. The domain opened up fine with all the HTML code and .swf on the page exactly as I had it in version 2.0
When I now publish to a folder, first of all it doesn't copy over the .swf file unless I create a link to the file, but even when I upload all the directories to my ISP's remote server, the movie isn't not showing up in the browser. The html code file and .swf file are in their correct directories on my ISP's remote server
I'm baffled as to what is going on here as its the exact same domain that worked perfectly in 2.0 and this has peed me off no end
Does anyone have any suggestions or encountered the same problem in 3.02?
Any advice would be very much appreciatedYour .swf files are in the same folder as the widget-markup files.
Keep your custom files OUTSIDE the folder with the sitename iWeb creates.
iWeb will overwrite everything when it needs to do that, wiping out your custom files.
Put the files in a separate folder and determine the link to these files.

Besides that, to display these tiny pictures I wouldn't use Flash.

.oam file in Muse not appearing in browser
When I place the .oam file in Muse and then go to preview in browser it only shows me a black and white box - nothing else. I set the fill and set into invisible and tryed everything but it doesnt work. any ideas what I am doing wrong? (it's an .oam file which was made out of an mp4 video...don't know if its relevant)

Good new! I fixed my problem!
Actually I restarted to create the beginning of my animation in Edge to check all the parts of it step by step with Muse! And everything works! So, I tried to understand where was the problem and I remembered that I made a wrong manipulation before I placed the first time the OAM file into Muse!
Indeed, I also choose web publish settings when I was in Edge to publish my animation but I didn't need it... and I put these files in the trash! Edge was not happy at all with my manipulation and the animation couldn't work well! Then I restore the files and everything was back to normal in Edge... But perhaps not as much as I thought!
So, I just have to create again my animation and everything should be fine!
About your problem, I create a new project in Edge and it's impossible to place a video file .mp4 on stage! Edge doesn't show this kind of file to put it in the library... How did you do?!

If you want to add graphics on your video, you should use Flash or After Effects at the beginning!
1. Open the video file with AE or Flash to add graphics on it
2. Export your new video and use the way of the link above
3. Enjoy it

Loops and software instruments not appearing in browser
Only a few software instruments appear in the software instrument list, even ones I have used before. Only a few loops come up also. Where did they go? They are in the GB folder in the Finder.
In the arrange window,dbl click on the instrument track you want,then the mixer window opens,again,dbl click on the instrument track(the button just above the out button below the I/O,{its the in/out area}) and choose from the drop down menu>choose mono or stereo etc,>logic>garageband
your Garageband instruments will be there,or should be.

OK,did you goto audio>loop browser ?I know its obvious,but i dont know how much you know so....that would be the first thing to do for the loops. -
Applet is not appearing in Browser
I created a standalone application that works (uses Swing). I wanted to place it on a webpage as an applet.
this is wrking in applet viewer, whn i tryed in HTML using the applet tag calling the class file the applet is still not showing. in the browser ..

Image in template background do not appear in browser
Hello all
I run a site ( http://ntp.neuroscience.wisc.edu/ ) that uses templates for backgrounds/spry menus for its pages. We currently use three templates to display backgrounds across the site and up until a few days ago everything displayed fine, until suddenly the main banner picture (bannerIndex.jpg) dissapeared from across all our pages, both in IE8 and Firefox 3.5. It used to display above the red spry menu tabs on the top of the whitespace. Check the index.dwt file attached to see where exactly. To my memory I didnt edit any of the templates or delete any of the image files, much less reupload the templates or download them from the remote server. I went back and reinserted all the pics into the templates, made sure they were attached to their right pages, and uploaded everything, but to no avail. the only major edit to the site I can remember that might have had an effect was that I rearraged some files on the local/remote server, but the shifts were within the same directory level and the files involved were not templates. I shifted everything back to their original order and still the problem persists. I'm attaching the code below (site first follow by the template which attaches to it) as it shows in the dreamweaver code editor (i'm using dreamweaver cs3) and I'll also attached the actual html and dwt files. again, the picture that does not show is bannerIndex.jpg and it should be above the spry menu tabs.

I am using TCS 4 with FM 12 and RH 11.
I have an animation built in Flash and published to a SWF file.
The animation is added to a FM doc. Publishing to PDF shows the animation as expected.
I link an RH project to the FM book and the animation is missing. There is an empty frame where the animation should be, and what is in the frame is a blank PNG with a made up name (i.e. filename004.png). I can add the SWF file manually into the frame but it gets wiped during the next update. I can turn off updates but that defeats the purpose of Single Sourcing. There is no setting I can find in RH to manage importing media files.

Adding baggage files did not help.
Embedding or linking within FM did not help.
Starting with your suggestions I did a little testing and found the problem. There are, in fact, 2 SWFs in the one frame, and that was causing RH to give up on the frame entirely. If I only put a single SWF in the frame, it seems to work.
I went back into Flash and glued both SWFs together to make one, which has solved it. However it would be interesting to know if there is a way to have 2 SWFs in a single FM frame.

Hi. My site works perfectly when played locally, but now that it is on a test server my swf has disappeared. The swf is an empty shell in which an xml file is played. I have encountered this before and have fixed it, but I cannot find where my code is wrong this time. Any ideas?

Not appearing in browse not searchable
I've been through the full set up and acceptance process and my podcast is linkable through http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=262308778 but i'm not searchable and can't be browsed for, I've recentley updated my feed with podbean which worked fine(though I did have to switch country of origin to uk) maybe I've been put on US itunes? hheellpp, is ther anyone that can email me at feverradio.co.uk
I hate saying negative things about Apple as I have spent literally decades supporting them all over the place in magazines and online. (I was founding Editor of MACUSER Magazine and ran the world's largest online Apple Users Group on CompuServe for 20 years).
But this time, in iTunes, they have a tremendous problem (in my estimation) that they show no signs of fixing. The problem is that iTunes will only display 1,000 podcasts in every Browse category. This sounds like a lot and it used to be, But these days about 85% of all the Browse categories are full, closed to new podcasters. So, for example, you have my podcast of BOOK HOBBY which is in the Literature category of Arts but will not show when you browse Literature. Instead you get 1,000 podcasts from back when the category was open. Many are, or course great. Many others are no longer done. Still others are broken with rss files going nowhere. Others have been duplicated by poor programming and naming techniques many times. But that's not even the point. The point is that if you want to have a new podcast in one of the filled categories you are out of luck as far as your podcast showing in a Browse.
I wrote to Apple about this in February. They said it would be fixed "in a few weeks" and that they were aware of the problem. Now it is late August and still no fix.
Go into iTunes and Browse the podcasts. Try to find a category that sort of, kind of, a little bit fits your podcast and has less than 1,000 podcasts already. Use two as stop-gap categories just to get into Browse. But keep the first category on target because of power search.
Good luck. And, Apple, I still love ya but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix this godawful defect in iTunes. -
Lock does not appear in browser for JSP secured by SSL???
Could someone please let me know how I can get the SSL lock to appear in the broswer when displaying my JSP that appears within a frameset page???
When I access the page without frames, there is no problem - I get the lock.
I have made sure that all pages are within the same folder and that all links specified within the pages have HTTPS and not HTTP.
Please help with any tutorials, references, or suggestions that could assist me in solving my problem.

Files not appearing in browsing dialog
I am using a PVII extension (Image Gallery) that brings up a dialog for selecting files. This worked fine with DW CS4 on XP. However, now that I'm on Windows 7 all I get for any selected directory is "No files found".
The PVII support folks directed me to an Adobe extension called "Dreamweaver browseForFolderURL" which seems to be intended for this situation. However, after installing and enabling it, still no luck.
Any suggestions for where to go from here? I really wanted to use that extension to put up a page of photos. I'd also hate to have to spend the $$$ to update to a later DW version just for this.See if this helps -
