Switching to different alarm sounds in ical for notifications

Dear Reader,
Can someone help me with this! I use iCal in iPhone for al sorts of things, and like to have a choice in selecting a alarm-sound for different occasions
( wake-up, lunch, birthday, appointments, etc. )
Adding different sounds to different notifications will make it easier ( and more fun ) for the ear to distinguish the priority.

I know! thats why i want it, even daylite (http://www.marketcircle.com/daylite/) does not have that!
AND how hard can it be to get it in the next software update, do you or anybody out there now a developer who can fix this?

you cannot get different alarm sounds for your alarm feature on the ipod nano. thats the only sound by default available.

Can i change the default alarm sound on Iphone 4s

Can the default alarm sound be changed for new alarms. My mother got an Iphone 4s recently and she can use Siri to set alarms for her, however the default alarm sound is always chosen and that is just not a loud enough sound. And it takes a some messing about to change the sound of the alarm and my 60 year old mother has trouble with changing it.
Is there any way i can make it change perminently, any help would be much appriciated.

Script to random switch between different waveforms

How correctly to write the script for switch between different waveforms during generation?
For example:
We are using the niFgen Allocate Named Waveform VI for allocate three Waveforms. When you run Generator, working first Waveforms. Next, the Generator is switched and used in the following only second and third Waveforms.
Or, we configured 10 Waveforms, and in the process of generating to switch not cyclically between all, but only between 2 and 5 Waveforms.
Whether it is possible to realize?

Possible that the its scripts and came to use (though I now doubt), but with instruction the if/else/end ifmust be preceded by a generate or wait <N> instruction.
In this case, if we add generate or wait <N> instructions to this script to get Abra-Cadabra some kind.
Clarify, what is necessary:
When starting is not pressed any triggers that generate a waveform0 continuously.
Further, if we passed to the niFgen Send Software Edge Trigger VI - single the triggerX, begin to generate a waveformX continuously.
These scripts do not provide the necessary algorithms:
May be I do not fully understand the scripts work.
How to ensure continuous generation waveformX by a single sent of the triggerX?

How can I turn off ring for notifications e.g. messages but not for calls?

Simple question:
Is there a combination of settings where I can turn off sounds and vibrate for notifications e.g. whatsapp, facebook but still have it vibrate for calls.
E.g. if its in my pocket I'd prefer not to keep getting vibrations, but it would be necessary to know if someone is calling

i dont know about whatsapp or other 3rd party apps 0 they may have setting options to do what you want - but for text messages and Facebook posts you can go to Settings/Sounds and set the sound for those 2 things to None

im looking to be able to have, or create adifferent alarm sound/notification for one type of entry into a Reminder and/or Calendar. I have one thing i need to book at a certain number of days before it happens very regularly so i have to call and book ata particular time. Having 2 children i have my phone around me but can forget to look at it when i set the normal reminders. I dont want it making nois all thje time, so would like to be able to select a custom or different noise for this one entry. Looks like i can do it on my Mac by selecting 'open file' and having it open a sound file. Can i do siilar on my phone?
or any ideas on an app?
or different way to work it?

How to change the alarm sound for CALENDAR events?

I missed an important meeting today, thanks to the almost-inaudible and incredibly short alarm sound in the Calendar app.
Is there a way to change the alarm sound for events in Calendar?
Setting another alarm in Clock is viable but obviously inconvenient.

Settings > Sounds > Calendar. Maybe it was inaudible because yoursound was not turned up.

No sound at all for incoming calls, txts, games i tried everything reset, restore , delete content and reset , reset network settings. Alarm sounds work but notification sounds don't work please and mute button is in ring mode

No sound at all for incoming calls, txts, games. I have checked the side mute switch. Volume is all way up. All notifications are on. I can hear tones when I go to change them. I can hear my music. I can hear talking on videos I have taken. I have tried everything I know to do(reset,restore,reset network settings,reset content and other settings and mute button is not ON)Please help!

This is exactly the same problem I am having. I dropped the phone one time I think that was the reason. Now I cant seem to find any solution to fix it and it will cost me $149 to buy a new phone? There has to be a way to fix this problem.
When I put it in speaker phone I can hear but not voices through the phone.

Better Alarm Sounds For "Informant"?

The native "Clock" application has a selection of alarm sounds. I find that "Antique Auto Horn" cuts through the background noise enough tb heard.
But I find Informant's sound tb inadequate and don't see a built-in choice menu.
Is there some sort of hack/application that will allow assigning different sounds to apps like Informant?
Or does that functionality already exist within Informant and I'm just missing it?

How do you set/change the default alarm TYPE in iCal?

I like to think I'm a power user, but this one I just can't figure out. The question/problem is: How do you sent the default alarm TYPE in iCal? The problem is illustrated in the picture below in the blue circled area.
Specifically, whenever I set a new event in iCal, it defaults to this window with the default alert being "Default (1 hour before)." The one hour before is fine, but the problem is, WHAT is the default? It seems to be just a sound, but that's not good enough to actually alert me of anything.
The goal I'm trying to achieve with this post is to determine how to CHANGE the "default" new event alert FROM "Default (1 hour before)" TO one of two alerts that I actually find useful: I want MY "default" new event alert to be either "email" to the primary address, OR, "Message with Sound".

Understand. I am in the edit mode for my contact. I see all the contact info. There is no right click or other means to change the DEFAULT address that autofill uses (it also is first to appear if I type my name in an e-mail). For instance for a group e-mail you can change the default addresses of each contact by control-clicking on the group in Address Book. I can't seem to make the default change in my v-card.

Adding sounds to iCal

Is there any way I can add new sounds to iCal alarms? The standard ones are very noninvasive ... which is nice for elevator music, but I need to be REMINDED when important appointments are looming. I have downloaded some better sounds for my purpose, but they don't show up in the iCal alarm sound list. How can I use them?

Can't make alarm work in iCal

Hi there, I've created events and reminders in iCal 5.0.1 but the alarm doesn't come as it used to in iCal Version 2.0.5. There's no alarm at all, even I've tried different ways, even leaving iCal on, and it still doesn't work. I thought that it was because the computer was in sleep mode, took it out of sleep mode and still doesn't work. Maybe I'm not setting it up the event in the right way, or maybe I have to link it to another program to make it work? So can someone help please?

Same problem I have. Alarms seem to work if the event is created elsewhere, in my case an iPhone or Gmail calenders. But if you create the even in iCal 5.0.1 the alarm information is lost as soon as you close the event.
Apple, sounds like you have a bug here. iCal was really useful until this bug hit it.
