Sync Error - new after BBerry forced a Desktop Manager Upgrade

When I try to sync my Curve 8330, I get SYNCHRONIZATION ERROR:  COL TransBase: FillDefFolderInfo: Unable to get default folder for Calendar
This started right after Blackberry forced me to upgrade the Blackberry Desktop Software to v.5.0.186.  Any ideas?

It would appear that somehow the calendar settings in the BB were changed to 30 days, somehow, maybe by the downloading and sync with the updated desktop software.  Once I changed the BB to FOREVER, it appears I'm getting proper syncronization of my calendar between the software and the BB.  No messages to delete the majority of the dates.

  • Sync Error 53 after 3.1.3 update

I saw one asnwer to this - which was change your operating system from XP to Vista so that it would work - Really, that;s the sort of answer you expect from Microsoft.
Why does apple need to make a copy all my photos anyway so that is can copy them on to my phone.?
Anyway, the issue still exists, unknown error 53 after removing all the info and starting again
Last time that I will be using Apples Updates, and the iPhone was a huge let down after the Pocket PC anyway - they had their issues, bust as a business tool the iPhone is useless. you can't even have a couple of documents on there without having to buy a third party app, unsecured wifi node for the office, and even then you have no ide where it is stored in the iPhone - making concerns for security.
bring back visible file systems. so we can delete PIM databases etc when they get corrupt

Try deleting the iPod photo Cache and then syncing the iPhone again.

  • Can I use Bluetooth to sync Blackberrry Bold diary and contacts with Desktop Manager (versions 6 or 7)?

I have successfully set up a Bluetooth connection with my PC.  Can anyone tell me it is possible with either (or both) versions of the Desktop Manager software?  (i.e. update all info without need for a cable connection using a Blackberry Bold 9900)
    Many thanks!

I am officially out of ideas for what to do with my phone!!
I changed my pay as you go tariff yesterday and in order to reset the phone to get my internet settings I switched off the handset and turned it on again.
When I turned it back on it started to load as normal then came up with  "App Error 200" message. I have done a hard reset and even after taking out the sim and battery it still wont work.
I know I can change things on my Desktop Manager, but that now wont recognise the phone is connected. I have gone to the 'Options' button (top right hand corner) and applyed the USB connection but is still wont work!!
Can anyone help as I am totally lost and have lost all patients!!!!

  • Issue syncing Bold 9650 and Entourage Calendar using Desktop Manager

I'm trying to sync calendar items in Entourage residing on my MacBook Pro with calendar items on my BB Bold 9650 and noticed that "Entourage" is no longer offered as a calendar choice with which to sync (I've been a BB and Entourage user for 2 years and this is a new issue - Entourage used to be offered as a choice).  I tried to fix by uninstalling Desktop Manager and reinstalling with newest version - no change - problem persists.  Calendar items are not syncing between BB and Entourage - any idea how to fix?

    My apologies hiforman.
If you click on Calendar in BlackBerry Desktop Software does it list more than 1 calendar?
Also you're saying in Contacts does it just list entourage?
Also open up iCal on the Mac, do you see an entourage calendar listed?
I look forward to your reply.

  • Error synching Windows 7 Contacts with Desktop Manager

    Hi
I'm new here and would appreciate any help you can give.
I''m having trouble synching the email addresses in my Windows Contacts file with my Blackberry.  Not all email addresses synchronise properly, which is probably because they are sourced from several different databases previously.  There doesn't seem to be a way to map the fields accurately as the Windows 7 contacts folder shows the field as "E-mail Address" and the Desktop Manager shows the field being imported from Windows as "Preferred Address".  This mapping only transfers those addresses which were previously exported from a BB/Lotus Notes database.
I've tried exporting to csv's and changing the field names as well as importing through Outlook 2010 rather than WIndows but with no success.
Has anybody else had this problem and found a solution?
    Any advice or suggestions welcomed.

    Hi all..
I am having the same problem with desktop software 6, but my problem is more like this..
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB19300
The Windows Installer pop-up during installation and cannot continue, it seems that windows installer 4.5 is the cause, but I cannot uninstall windows installer 4.5 because many of my programs were using this..
In this knowledge base solution it says to run BlackBerry Desktop Software.msi, but on BlackBerry Desktop Software 6, it need to run from setup.exe and cannot continue.. so I cannot install desktop software 6 on my computer, but I am able to install older version desktop software ie. version 4.2 to version 5.
I think that I am gonna reply here instead of making new thread about windows installer 4.5 and Desktop Software 6, please move if I did wrong.

Hi ihalimsujanto and welcome to the forums!
My first concern is that you do have a version of desktop manager that you can maintain your device and PIM data with, do you?
Please post back with as much detail as possible regarding your hardware and software setup.
Also post what steps you have taken to resolve the issue. The more detail we have the better we can help you. I'll reread KB 19300 and find what happened to my broken link.

  • Torch App Error 606 + Can't connect to desktop Manager

    Hi,
I was backing up my blackberry torch last night and the connection was disconnected during the backup. When the phone restarted the message "App Error 606" / "Reset" came up. I can't do anything on my phone except for reset it, and pulling the battery does nothing.
When I try to connect it to blackberry desktop software it wont connect... I left it for an hour and it still just said that it was connecting.
I also tried connecting to BBSAK and it couldn't connect there either, so I can't reset it to factory settings. I checked the desktop manager and it recognizes the USB port as connected to a blackberry device but that is about as close as I can get to connecting to anything.
I have a backup of all of my information from before this happened so I don't mind completely resetting my phone, but I have no idea how to do this without being able to:
    a) connect it to the computer
    b) do anything except reset on the phone
    Any help would be great!
    Thanks,
    Mike

  • Sync error -124 (after complete restore)

    Hi!
My husband started having problems with his ipod this morning - it wouldn't do anything. I'm not sure this is an ipod classic (model A1059). He forced it back to the original factory settings and then started syncing with the iTunes library. In the middle of the whole thing, it came back with error -124 (not sure if that's a negative or dash).
Does this mean a hardware issue? Suggestions???
    Thanks!!

its not an ipod classic they came out with 80 and 160 gig only

    Error 13, 14, 35 and 50 (or -50)
These errors are typically resolved by performing one or more of the steps listed below:
        1.    Perform USB isolation troubleshooting, including trying a different USB port directly on the computer. See the advanced steps below for USB troubleshooting.
        2.    Put a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer.
        3.    Try a different USB 30-pin dock-connector cable.
        4.    Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.
        5.    There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting one or more TcpWindowSize entries into your registry. Your default packet size being set incorrectly can cause this error. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet-size modification for assistance. Or, follow this article by Microsoft: How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to reset the packet size back to the default for Windows.
        6.    Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online.
        7.    Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.

  • Iphone unable to Sync with Itunes after the 5.0.1 IOs upgrade

I get an error message when I try to sync my iPhone 4 with my iTunes. It reads:
"The iPhone "XXXX" cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all the selected items (additional 7.25GB required)."
My status bar for the phone on iTunes says that with everything selected, I have 2.7GB free on my phone.
I've also noticed that when it attempts to sync it cancels the sync after attempting to download something about a Safari safe downloading something or other (I've never been able to catch the whole wording because it cancels shortly after the attempted download)
This is frustrating, how might this be fixed, or how might I downgrade my OS to a previous version?
    Thanks!

    3 things to try:
    1. disable anti trojan / virus real time scanners - close and reopen itunes - try to sync
    2. disable firewall - close and reopen itunes - try to sync
    3. disable your wifi and/or lan connection - close and reopen itunes - try to sync
(vpn software also seems to cause problems sometimes)
it seems they made some changes in the way it connects (prob in for the tethering) and its causing some issues for some (my connection failure was caused by -a squared- my anti trojan program)

Please somebody help me!! I have been trying for the past 3 hours to sync my address book with my mac. All I want to do is save my contact information so I can then sync them with my new apple iPhone 4 as I am getting rid of this annoying blackberry curve!!
My calendar sync worked without problem but I am going crazy with this error message.
    Please someone help me!!!

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
For your first issue, I cannot tell if you've yet worked through the referenced KB...if not, you can find it here.
For your second issue, I'm unsure...but perhaps this will help:
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
    Best!
