Sync G/L Account balance from one instance to others

Dear Experts,
Do you have any idea how to move G/L account balance from one instance SAP to other instance SAP ?
We found that we can use IDoc message type FIDCMT IDoc type FIDCMT01 , but actually we just need to transfer the daily balance nor per transaction?
Please advise should you have any suggestion or other IDoc that can be implemented to this case.

Identify the "class=MyStyle" string in the MTML code, and use the Multi-File Find and Replace feature to step through each topic and change the specific instances to "class=MyOtherStyle." (I doubt that you'll want to "Replace All".)

Data movement of Chart of Account from one instance to other

We are doing data movement of Chart of account tables(FND_FLEX tables) from one instance(oracle 10.7)to another instance(Oracle 11.0.3).
Some of the columns of flex value tables are obsoleted in Oracle 11.0.3. like description in fnd_flex_values is obsoleted and description is used from fnd_flex_values_tl.
My question is, Is it necessary to do the data movement of fnd_flex_values_tl table to get the description or just the data movement for fnd_flex_values table will serve the purpose.

When upgrading you need to populate both the fnd_flex_values and the fnd_flex_value_tl table. Please note applications will not function properly when you dont populate this table.
I am not sure how you are populating this table, if using the oracle upgrade process then Oracle takes care of this else please ensure that you populate all the _tl tables

How to import data from one instance to other

Hello all,
I want to modify the data in one dev instance from production instace ,but in same table can any help me out with command how to retreive the data from other instance
example:
I want to change the email address of a person in per_all_people_f table in development instance which has the accurate data in production instance ,I am using the update statement how should I relate them and how to change the value?

You can create one dblink in dev db to Production db with the user/schema the live table belongs. Then you can accesss the live table in dev db.
eg.
Run in Dev db
create database link "live_db.WORLD"
connect to live_user
identified by <pwd>
using 'live_tns_name';
select * from live_table@live_db;
Now the remore live table is available in dev db just as if a local table.
You can play with its data.
But remember to remove the dblink after your work is done.
drop database link live_db; does the work

Repost of Balance from One GL to other GL

Hi All,
We have created a new GL in place of one Old GL. The Old GL has been closed but there is balance, so we want to transfer this balance to new GL.
Please tell how this reposting can be done, its withing FI.

Unfortunately, the account has automated posting flag ticked. FB01 and FB50, both are Direct FI postings.
I will have to change the master data first which the client will not agree. Any body aware if i can use fb04 to change the old document itslef.

We transfer GL account balance from one GL a/c to another GL a/c in the following situations.
When the GL a/c need to be maintained in Open item Management, say GL a/c belongs to a Balance sheet item but you have forgot to check the Open Item Management check box and made entries to that particular GL a/c.
In this situation you cant activate the Open item Management when the A/C is having balance, so first u need to make the GL a/c zero balance and than check Open item Management check box, follow the following steps.
Create another dummy GL a/c, say ABC and the GL a/c which you want to make zero balance is having Dr Balance. Now make a posting using FB50 or F-02, you Dr the ABC GL a/c and Cr the other GL a/c so that the GL a/c balance becomes zero, now go to GL master and check the Open item Management check box. And again make posting through F-02 Crediting the ABC GL a/c and Debiting the other GL a/c.

Hi,
You have 2 options: use Discoverer Administrator to export/import the workbook; or use Discoverer Desktop to save the workbook to the local drive.
You cannot save a workbook to the local drive using Discoverer Plus.

It's not currently possible to transfer an account's balance from one account to another account, nor to use it to gift items to another account. Also any content that was bought/downloaded via your account will remain tied to your account, so your account will need to be authorised on the computer that he will be syncing to, and only your account will be able to re-download that content and/or download updates to those apps.

I have an issue with one GL account balance should be move to other GL account and also it should be reflect in reporting.
For example i have one account like 200100 and it is having some balance in current period. Now i want to move from other account like 200102. this will be reflect in the reports. how can we do this in BW.
Please any one can help me...

I think, you need to elaborate the issue bit wide... Couple of things;
If you see the descrepancy in the data in BW that from in source system, better look at in BW where it went wrong and see if you can correct it there (may be in PSA) or you can even re-extract the data and then load it into the respective cubes or data targets.
On the other hand, if the data in BW matches with that of the source system, better ask the consultant/ IT team member whoever is responsible to look at it, if at all if it needs to be corrected so he can post the corresponding journal entries. In this case, if it need to be corrected, you will have to re-extract the data to have it match with the source system or if you can wait until the next delta...that will take care of it...

This is possible if you are using Time-independent management of organiz. units
Please review the following menu path:
Please start IMG -> Financial Accounting (New) -> Asset Accounting
-> Master Data -> Specify Time-Independent Management of Organiz. Units
Indicator- > Time-independent management of organiz. units
If you set this indicator, the system manages the organizational units
'business area' and 'cost center' (and thereby 'profit center') as not
time dependent in the asset master records in this company code.
Any change to these organizational units during master data maintenance
then automatically generates a transfer posting document.
If the indicator is not set, you have to create a new asset master
record, and manually transfer the entire asset, when the business area
changes (and you are using business area balance sheets).
Caution
If you set this indicator, and then change these organizational units in
asset master data maintenance, the system replaces the business area and
cost center (and profit center) in all existing time intervals by the
new assignments. After that, it is no longer possible to report on these
organizational units for past time periods in Asset Acccounting! This
applies even if you later remove the indicator!

You can't currently transfer an account's balance from one account to another, nor can you use it to gift content. You shoudl be able to use your old account on your new phone, it's generally best just to have the one iTunes account

You are right. My requirment is to transfer Vendor balance in PC 1000 to PC 2000. If I post using 9KE0 it is not affecting in the respective vendor account. Since we are in ECC 6.0 with document split option we have to post the same transfer entry through any FI transaction only.
