Quick question, when you select IOS Photo / IiCloud storage (photos are optimised etc) what happens when ipad / iphone storage is full and you now need to add new apps, photos etc? In my case I have 3 * 64gb ipads & 2 * 128 gb iphone but these are all filling up with photos since enabling IOS Photo & iCloud Photo Library (as all of my photos on each device are now copbined on every device as well as the cloud). This has become a problem as when I try to sync my idevice I get the device full warning (and I am assuming I now need to delete apps / videos if I want to sync or make more space for new photos etc). As far as I can tell once you enable IOS Photos and iCloud all photos will upload at original resolution and download at idevice resolution and there is no way to select / control the photos you want to keep on phone (eg if you delete photo on phone it will now delete the original on cloud).
Couple of questions / Suggestions:
- Will IOS Photos on IOS device automatically lower resolution of pics or use thumbnails for old photos that are already in icloud to ensure that there is space on device for new photos, apps videos music etc. Eg will old photos that have already been uploaded in icloud be replaced by new apps videos music etc (not sure that the IOS Sync or iCloud currently does this)
- Is there away to limit control or limit the number of IOS photos that sync to each idevice (eg by starring photos)? I had a look and can not see away to select photos you want to keep or remove (without deleting them on cloud). As per above I am hoping that the IOS sync and icloud systems are smart enough to replace Photos that have already upgraded to cloud with a lower quality / thumbnail to make more more room for new photos and apps (but not clear if this occurs)
- If this is a problem now what happens once the new PHOTOS launches for OS Desktop eg will it add in all our photos from iphoto to the icloud then to the idevice as part of the OS PHOTOS UPGRADE. I have 15-30 gb of photos in IPHOTO that are now backing up to icloud, there needs to be away to only select starred photos or albums or every photo try to download to my iphone (which will kill my storage). There also needs to be away to keep photos on idevice (for those times when you do not have internet and can not download from iCloud to iDevice

If there is no solution then Apple needs to look at this and highlight it as a risk to customers who switch as this is being sold as a way to minimise your device storage but can lead to to customers using up more storage for photos on ipad iphone as a result of switch to IOS PHOTOS &
iCloud Photo Library

Things are not as dire as they might seem at first glance. My 66GB iPhoto Library became a 40GB iCloud Photo Library (~11K photos, ~300 videos) and only uses 2.2GB on my iPad and 2.4GB on my iPhone. Scaling that experience, a 64GB/128GB iOS device should be able to easily handle a 300GB iPhoto library. My iPad and iPhone are 32GB devices and I expect them to be livable through at least 30-40K of photos.
16GB devices have always been problematic for space even before iCloud Photo Library so I'd expect anybody with a 16GB device and more than a few thousand photos is not going to be able to use iCloud Photo Library with it. They will have to use iCloud Photo Streaming to get photos to iCloud Photo Library and iCloud Photo Sharing or iTunes syncing to get a subset of photos back to the device. Not a great solution but workable. However, it wrecks one of the best features for me which is using my iPad to edit the photos I take on my iPhone.
The part that worries me is the automatic space management routine. The problem it creates is that I might want to add a movie, but there won't be enough space, and my only option will be to reset iCloud Photo Library on the device to get back to all thumbnails on it to see if that gets me the space I need. I've already had to do it a couple of times with iTunes Match and it's not fun. It all depends on how aggressive Photo Library will be in trimming off full-size photos/videos and Apple appears to be leaving it a black box at this point. It would at least be nice to know an estimate of the minimum size so I know how much space I can recapture.

Iphone set up - syncing query on multiple pc's

I currently have an iphone & 3 ipods snynced to my itunes library on my pc.
I have just purchased an additional iphone for my Wife, and would be grateful for some advice as to how I should go about setting it up before I start.
Is it possible to sync the new iphone with the itunes library from my pc, and also sync it with the outlook contacts & calendar on my Wife's pc?

You are going to need iTunes on your wife's computer in order to sync contacts and calendars.

Smart Sync Query

Hello All,
        I have created a GetList BAPI wrapper in CRM system. And i have created RFC dest for that in MI server.
        The parameter types of the GetList function does not exists over MI server.
        I am trying to use emulator but it is giving me following message.
<b>No download data from R/3 found in downloader</b>        Can somebody tell me why is this happening?
        Also what about the types that this bapi uses as parameter types but does not exists on MI server?

This happens when the getlist function does not find any records, ie. there is no data on the backend for the function. Do one thing -- Run the Getlist function and let me know how many entries are present in the output.

Usually the Getlist doe not require input as it simply returms all the headers from the backend. So the only a parameter to hold the output list would be sufficient.

Dreamweaver Download sync query

Hi
When I want to pull a site down from the remote server I do
the usual click on the arrow down button and then when it says Do
you wish to get the entire site? I say yes. This tends to take
about half an hour because we have tniyMCE on almost all our sites.
DOes anyone know at the point when it says do you wish to
overwrite the current files if this actually means that if the
content of the file is the same on the remote as it is on the local
it will skip pulling it down or will it just look at the file name
and not the content so wont pull it down? I tend to always click on
"overwrte all files" and if the other option means it only
overwrites files that are newer this would be much quicker.
Any advice massively appreciated.

name (as most of my files are not new on the remote server just
different content) so it would just see the filename exists and

Yoga 3 Pro DirectX/Direct 3D Error

I have a Yoga Pro 3 which routinely crashes a few minutes into Neverwinter game with the following error:
Fatal Error: Direct3D driver returned error code
(DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED) while checking sync query

Things I have tried:
- made sure I had the latest video drivers from Intel for the 5300
- research on the above code suggests that the last driver that would not crash on a particular game was 9.17.10.2932 in December 2012 LINK: https://communities.intel.com/thread/46821 I was not able to install that driver but I was able to roll back to a generic driver from 2006 that seemed to extend time until crash from 5 min to at least an hour. At some point system put latest Intel driver on again so I dont know if old driver ever crashed.
- installed latest video drivers from Lenovo which are a few months older than the intel drivers even though they were posted later than most recent intel drivers
- worked through several solutions with tech support from Cryptic/Neverwinter which led us both to the conclusion that this is a video driver issue.
Help will be appreciated.

I have a similar issue with my Yoga 3 Pro. I play Runescape with the desktop client, which is Java based. I regularly encounter driver crashes. Every time this happens, the driver recovers, but it causes the game to go black for about a second or two. I have also noticed that Amazon Instant Video performs badly, especially in HD and to a much lesser extent when playing in SD. Netflix seems to play fine, as does Youtube in HTML5. I have the latest driver.

In the Net Manager utility, in the left-hand pane left click Oracle Names Servers, left click on your nameserver.
Click the "+" button in the upper left, that should be enough to get you started- sorry, all our 9i installs have gone away, can't exactly recall the nix X gui version of client program, but I think* its netmgr, should be in OH/bin.
If you're running a java OEM console that cames with 9i clients, Net Manager is available on that little Butler tab.
And for the command line version, running the namesctl utility- you can save a tns entry with the connect string and run it in a file, just like sqlplus, with an @filename:

register newtns -d (DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=...(SERVICE_NAME=NEWTNS.MYCO)))

If you want to maintain the sequence and data consistency, then use isolation level "serializable" and QoS as EOIO.
Set / Increase the time_out parameter in the adapter module.

Complex Table Transmit

Hi SCN,
We have a new requirement where we need to transmit only one complex table from a group of ten without data table and data object too. Any configuration on Agentry can do that? Or on every transmit wee need to synchronize all data table, complex table and data objects?

Based on the comments above, it depends on what your definition of your requirements are. You can write your own mobile application from scratch if you want to build your own mobile application to communicate with your custom customer enterprise environment (popular integration is to a custom environment is either via Java, SQL, HTTPXML, File).
In SAP, we provided out of the box solution like Work Manager, Inventory Manager and others for SAP or IBM. Each product (or mobile solutions) were designed to do different things based on the back-ends and popular business needs. You could have a custom flavor of the out of the box or something unique to yours.
Let us assume you are customizing the out of the box Work Manager for SAP for Complex Tables:
If you are using SAP as your backend, the main communication between Agentry and SAP is using Java and it communicates with the built-in SAP Agentry config panel (that takes care of all the Bapi and Abap). So all the complex table is driven by Java + config panel. The example above for javaBE.ini by Mallina is based on the ini file configuration where you can state either to turn on or off the complex table download. You can see this setup under the javaBE.ini.
The picture above can be set either ini or SAP. So Mallina's example is base on ini setup. Another way to do it is through (Source = SAP) which is the Agentry Config Panel tied to your out of the box application where you can state to turn on or off the complex table download. You may check the Work Manager setup or documentation on how to turn on or how often to check the complex table.
If you are not using out of the box Java code (or extending the libraries) then you can write your own Java code to do the logic you require to either update or reload or do any download you wish base on your triggers. If you are at this level it may be harder because you have to do all the logic and you have to have a tie-in the back end enterprise to flag to download or not.
Let us assume your backend is SQL (Microsoft SQL or Oracle or SQLAnywhere or other SQL type).
When you create a Complex Table in the Agentry Editor you will be presented with something like this picture:
You will notice two major tabs: Reload State Query - if you return true on this query it will reload the complex table and the Data Query: The typical query when you sync from scratch or do a delta sync.
In the example above, you will see special characters "<< >>" called flunkies or SDML (SAP Data Markup language) where you can do a quick query against your backend to do some logical queries before you do your main query. Most of the SQL design is based on what you specify as your where clause or your where logic. So you can officially create your own custom table (CTReload) in your backend and setup custom columns (TableName, Reload) and indicate if your table name = Parts then Reload = 1 or Y then reload it. For DataTable you have the Sync Query and Data Query for control.
The link that Mallina gave above is also a study on what occurs when you turn on or off certain features of Agentry and what the server does with it.
The Main transmit of the Agentry clients does all of them Objects (base on fetch), Data Table (base on data and sync query or java or chosen backend system connection) and Complex Table (base on reload state or data query or Java or chosen backend System Connection). You can start adding the smartness or logic in the actual Complex Table and Data Table setup to not download or when to download it base on your conditions.

I am making some changes in a couple of attributes. Is there a way or a variable through which i can get only the changed values.
activeSync.chnages gives me the entire value of the changed attributes.
for eg:
Original value of member of: Group1,Group2
New value:Group1,Group2,Group3
i am modifying the memberOf attribute. The user alreday has Group1 and Group2 under the member of attribute and i want to add Group3.Is there a way in which i can get the value of only Group3?

Hi,
Please do not confuse what is displayed on the screen and when actually happens on the resource. The screen is showing that prior to the change the user will be a member of: Group1,Group2. After the change the user will be a member of:Group1,Group2,Group3.
The actual mechanism to implement the change on the resource will depend upon the implementation of the resource adaptor.

Need query to find out standby database sync information

Please provide me query which give me information about how many standby database configured .I need to generate report hourly sync information of database in our project. I have more than 120 production db and some db having more than one standby database.some of then at local satndby (some of database (prod) in datacenter and some of database in DR datacenter)
Does it it possible to configure in 12c oem?.If it is possible guide me.How can I create report for all databases sync status within one report?

ITunes Sync Backup Query

Hello All. Was wondering if anyone could help me with this
When I sync my iphone with Itunes on my PC via the USB cable the backup runs first as expected. The sync completes fine and the last backup date is displayed all correctly. If I then leave my iphone connected to my PC via USB as I often do and then sync again it does not run the backup and skips this stage. Thing is I may use my ihpone while it is connected. Maybe recieve a txt or input a calendar event. There is then something to backup so I would therefore expect the iphone to backup again with a sync. So if i run a sync i want it to backup every time no matter what. Im sure it used to backup everytime I ran sync. But now it seems it only does the first time it is connected to my PC. Yes I can click on manual backup and it forces a backup fine but I want it to backup with every time I click sync.
My aim here is to sync my phone when first connected then be able to sync at any further point such as when i am about to leave with my phone and know that further backups are all completed.
Any help would be great and im sure someone will have a simple answer for me so thanks in advance.

I am sure backup always used to run EVERYTIME sync was run but at some point I guess this changed. Maybe iTunes or iOS on iPhone. Other discussions I looked in to were all stating that backup ran everytime a sync ran too so I was confused. Trust me I am easy to confuse but I really am sure it ran everytime in the past because I do watch the sync procedure most of the time so I know what is going on.
I have in a short space of time had quite a few view of this and was surprised no one was directing me. I had tried an iTunes repair and uninstall and reinstall to no avail. I guess this seemed either too obvious to them that I warented no reply or maybe people are not aware that a backup via a sync only runs on the first connect not on subsequent syncs. I hope in a way that maybe this helps others who find this discussion maybe maybe maybe.

My wife and I each have iphones, my wife's is a new 5, but when syncing with itunes, it attempted a complete download of all my apps and music collection. I then checkmarked the ones she'd like and unchecked all of my 'blokes' apps, that's fine. BUT, when I sync my 3GS, will it keep the iphone5 selection, or is itunes clever and detect that I have different tastes and reset to me original check/unchecked list?

Do you have more than one photo album or folder available under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes to select, or do you have a single album or folder selected for sync photos from?
If you manually manage photo storage on your PC, create what will be a parent folder to store the named folders of photos that you want transferred to your iPhone. Place the folders of photos in the newly created parent folder. Select the parent folder under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync. The folders of photos within the parent folder will be transferred to your iPhone as seprate albums. To add a new album to your iPhone, place the folder of photos in the parent folder on your PC followed by a sync. To remove an album from your iPhone, move the folder of photos out of the parent folder on your PC followed by a sync.

When I try to sync photos from iphoto from my Macbook to my Ipad 1 I get query do I want to remove all my apps from my iPad and that all data included in those apps will be deleted. Help

When trying to sync some photos from Iphoto to my ipad I get a message asking me if Iwish to continue as all my apps will be deleted if I do. How can I overcome this?
