I couldn't synchronise my albums after upgrading Aperture to the latest software version, both for Apple TV and iPad2/iPad4.
Recovery of Aperture Mediathek doesn't help.

Could there be a relationship with the fact tha wifi syncing with itunes doesn't work too?
Also: I installed vlc remote last week which also gave connection problems. After manual input of ip adress and port it worked fine. Still I don't understand why. I have just a regular home network. Moreover apple remote combined with itunes just doesn't work still.
Any hints?

PC Sync doesn't work with Outlook and 6300

Whilst I appreciate there maybe other posts similar to this there doesn't seem one that give enough information and when the suggestions are tried (the ones I read) they didn't work.
I can sync with Nokia Communication centre (Emails and messages) but my 6300 won't sync with outlook (PC Sync)- contacts, notes or calendar.
Here are the details:
Windows XP SP3 & Also Vista Business SP1
PC Suite is 7.0.7.0 (Also tried the version that came with the phone).
Connection method - USB
Phone Nokia 6300 latest firmware V 06.01 RM-217 (as checked on 27/7/2008)
Outlook 2000, 2003 & 2007
Messages
Nokia PC Sync Warning
PC Sync information.
PC Sync has encountered a problem and has terminated the synchronisation.

Please check your Synchronisation settings and ensure your phone is in the Idle state, then restart the Synchronisation.

Tried this on three computers with two with XP Pro(Outlook 2000 & 2003) and one with Vista Business (2007). Added new folders for test and also created a clean Outlook installation (2000 on one XP machine). None of these installations work with synchronisation. Tried just Contacts, Notes and Calendar on their own. Still no good.
The main reason for wanting to do this is to transfer my Calendar from my 6230i (there seems to be no other way of doing it) and use it on my PC.
I have managed to copy my contacts using PC Suite 7.0.7.0 by having both phones connected and selecting all the contacts from the old phone to the new phone in Nokia Communication Centre. Seems you can't do this on old suites. I can also see messages there as well although I haven't tried to copy them yet.
What is interesting is that with all the same settings in PC sync and the same folders in outlook I have been able to synchronise my 6230i calendar both ways with no problems at all. It is just the 6300 that is giving problems either way.
So is this a firmware bug, PC Suite bug, Interface bug, or just that some settings on either phone or PC that need changing to suite the 6300?
Without this working there is no way that my desktop calendar can synch with my phone. As I said the 6230i was no problem.

Thanks for that. I did indeed manage to do a calendar backup from my 6230i and then restore it to my 6300 and YES it did work.
So how come that a calendar that obviously works on the 6230i phone can be restored to the 6300 phone, and the 6230i can do a sync to outlook. Yes I did that as well. I managed to sync the 6230i to a clean calendar in outlook, Modify it the calendar in Outlook and then sync it back to the 6230i. I then had to back it up in order to restore it to the 6300.
Are you seriously saying that it is the format of the calendar when the 6230i does it so well. It seems obvious to me that it must be either the sync firmware of the 6300 or the PC connect software not taking account of any 6300 firmware differences.
As a test I added an appointment to a completely blank calendar on my 6300 and tried syncing that with the same errors. When syncing you can for a split second see something trying to be synced but too fast to read. It would be more helpful if there was a proper log of actually why and where the problem occurred. So if Nokia (or anyone)has some debug software please can I try it?
Whilst I have, after nearly a week of trying and search the internet, found a solution to my immediate problem (copying the calendar), it appears there isn't a solution to integrate the phone to Outlook - unless somebody know different.

I bought a headset sennheiser mm400 in apple store newyork at November, 2nd...
I've been using with my iphone 4 and everything is ok, but now I wanna use this with my macbook pro I7 running os x 10.6.4.
I paired it, and when i connect the phones the mic stop to work, and if set mic as main input source stop all media playing and I get the following error: "Bluetooth device failed"

No, it won't. Your Mac has a line level input, not a mic level input like your old Toshiba. You would need to amplify the signal from the headset mic to line level in order for it to work with your Mac.

ICloud account doesn't work with iMessage and Facetime

Very simply my iCould account (Appleid) will not work with iMessage or Facetime. This is affecting my iPad 2, iPhone 4 and Macbook which are all running the most up to date OS version available. I always get the error message "This email address cannot be used for iMessage." when I try to add that address to the "Receive at" list.
I have wasted weeks investigating this and think it may be an issue with the setup of my Appleid. My partner's account will work in all the scenario's I have a problem with and after comparing the accounts using https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/ the difference seems to be that my partners Apple ID and Primary Email Address is also listed as a Verified Alternate Email Address...
While for my appleid only my Gmail address is listed as an alternative...
Apple will not allow me to add my Primary Email Address as an Alternate Email Address.
Has anybody else had this problem and if so how on earth did you fix it. Apple support have not been particularly useful and I would really like to make full use of iMessage and Facetime on my iPhone, iPpad and Macbook.

I don't think there is much wrong with your set up as I see it. Using the same alternate address as your primary address is not a good idea, if there is something wrong with your iCloud account and Apple need to contact you they can't. I believe (but may be wrong), that for this reason Apple will no longer let you do this and why you get the error message you do. Your partner may have set hers up before Apple made this a requirement.
Are you able to receive email on your phone via your me address, do you have your me address listed alongside your card in contacts, do you have the email address entered as your ID or alternate address in settings > Facetime.

Here's what I'm doing : long press on the phone number, select "add to contacts", select "create new contact", I enter first name and last name, but the phone number doesnt appear anywhere... I tap "Done" , but when I chech the contact details, there is no phone numbers, just the empty contact I created...

Yes, I just noticed this issue too. My friend sent me his address in a text, and I tapped on it and did "Add to Existing Contact" and selected him from the list and nothing happened. I tried a few times, and then once when I tried manually entering it, like 6 copies of the same address suddenly showed up. I deleted all but one, and then it didn't display an address anymore, even though I left one intact. I tried adding his address to a different contact using the same method and that worked, so I had to delete my contact and re-add his information fresh. Adding the address using the automatic URL in text worked after that. Ridiculous.

Format-number doesn't work with XSL and DW preview

I'm creating XSL files to transform XML into HTML. However,
the number formatting doesn;t seem to work in Dreamweaver. For
example, if I specifiy:
format-number(price,'$###,###.00'), I should get $7596.99. I
actually get 7596.990000000001 in my Preview (no currency symbol,
too many decimal places). If I do the same thing in another XSL
editor (Xseleerator) I get: $7,596.99.
This is REAL PAIN, as every time I do anything with number
formatting, I need to open the XML and XSL in another product just
to check the formattng.
Can anyone shed any light on this?

ATV doesn't work with mp4 and mov files

Apple TV doesn't play the mp4 or mov files that are in my iTunes Library.
ATV plays only m4v video.
How can I do?

I didn't create such files... I only downloded them from internet...
I have tried to convert them with "Any video converter" bought on App Store. If I tried to convert the files in a ATV format the software creates a m4v file, but offen the audio is out of sync...

Remote file access doesn't work with Mac and Q10

I'm running the latest BlackBerry Link (version 1.20, build 7) and Mac OS X (version 10.9) software on my Mac Mini computer.
I setup BlackBerry Link for remote file access.
On my Q10 in File Manager I see my Mac computer but for some reason I don't see any folders. It's just a black blank screen. My carrier is Telus.
In link I chose folders to access. It seems like everything is setup properly and I still see only a black blank screen on my Q10.
Any Mac users have this issue?

Me too. None of the sync functions/remote file access/wifi sync using BB Link are working for me. I have a Mac (10.8.5) and a BB Z10 (10.2.0.429). I hope BB comes up with a solution soon.

My iCloud Alias Doesn't Work With iMessage and Facetime

I created a new iCloud .me account that also has an alias. I don't want to use my main iCloud account. I tried using my iCloud alias, but iMessage and Facetime won't allow me to use them. Why can't I use my alias account? Is the main iCloud account the only one allowed?

Is everyone just confused about iCloud aliases? Nobody has an answer to this?

SMB under 10.7.6 doesn't work with Lexmark and others

I understand that Apple has changed SMB -- and it is not incompatible with lots of applications and devices (e.g. Lexmark scanners than scan to Mac). Short of going back to Snow Leopard, is there a way to get the "old" SMB to replace the 10.7.6 SMB -- or is there a prayer that Apple will "fix" this problem?

So I have been battling this same issue since last week. I cannot unlock my phone with the FP scan but it will work when using the iTunes store or Apple Store app. Is there a setting I am missing?

Troubleshooting Touch ID
Ensure that your fingers and the Home button are clean and dry.*
Note: Cover the Home button completely. Don't tap too quickly, don't press down hard, and don't move your finger while Touch ID is scanning.
Tap Settings > General > Passcode & Fingerprint > Fingerprints and verify:
Passcode Unlock or iTunes & App Store is enabled.
One or more fingerprints have been enrolled.
If one finger isn't working, tap Edit in Settings > General > Passcode & Fingerprint > Fingerprints > Edit to delete and then reenroll the finger.
If that finger still isn't working, try enrolling a different finger.

Alt Key Doesn't Work With Tools

Suddenly the Alt key doesn't work with Clone and other Tools. When it's pressed, it shows a double arrow (black/white)cursor and a selection is not defined.
I did a forum search and found this

Some programs and utilities takes control of the Alt key when installed.
GuruNet (Atomica) and FlySwat are two of these applications. Uninstall them and re-claim the Alt-key, and all should be fine.
...but these programs are not on my PC. Plus, the Alt key works fine in other programs. I'm using CS.
I'm desperate to fix this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

In 18+ years of computer use I never had this problem (I've had lots of dirty keyboards, but never this problem). Must have been a big crumb. The only mystery though is why the key worked ok in another program. Anyway, a thousand thanks.

I am pretty sure they know about this issue and software companies must not hear what the people say. For me it is logic that they watch what happen on the software market and try to adapt own products as soon as possible.
This issue with IE8 is known and soon or later the updated version will be offered on download page but the question is: when?
I cannot understand why they wait so long time. OK, to fix some issue and testing procedure can take a days but IE8 is not on the market from yesterday.
Lets see how long it will be necessary for AuthenTec to fix this issue.
