Syncing Issues " Error Message" HELP
Hello I've been a itunes user for several years with my 3gs. A few weeks ago I got the 4s and everything doing great. Since yesterday when I sync my iphone to the itunes I get an error saying " itunes was unable to load data class information from sync services. Reconnect or try again later" What could be causing this. There are some songs "mp3s" on my iphone that I cannot remove. They dont show up in my itunes music folder but still exsist on my 4s. I removed all music from my itunes, resynced my iphone and they are still there. I've uninstalled itunes and reinstalled and still the same issue. Im have itunes10.5. Thanks for your advise.....
Not sure how to resolve this, but after you have transferred the email account settings from your computer to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process which is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences, you don't need to keep this option selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences. This only needs to be done once and is a one way transfer process only - from your computer to your iPhone.

I have experienced this problem for some time now. It was syncing no problem and then one day this problem reared its ugly head. I read the few solutions offered elsewhere and here but none of them have helped me: I have rebooted my BB Curve several times and I also wiped the device a couple of times, and started off from scratch, but to no avail. HASSLE! Reinstalling apps and everything else.....It seems all the trouble started when I downloaded RIM's newly minted just for mac's Blackberry Desktop Manager. Wonderful. Actually, the recent error message is the most information I've gotten. Before I just got that that the device was not recognized. I tried gassing BB Desktop Manager altogether and going back to the Palm desktop, but now my Palm Desktop doesn't work either.
It's almost as if the cord is loose, so I tried a different cord, a different port, but that didn't do anything either. I really like the device, but perhaps a change is in order. A Palm Pre maybe? an iPhone that doesn't argue with my mac? So any other ideasIf you don't know where to find these two items, it will probably be a good idea for you to at least glance through the iPhone user guide.
The Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes is availlable where the other tabs for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes are located. With your iPhone connected to iTunes and available under Devices in the iTunes source list, select your iPhone under Devices in the iTunes source list to make the Info tab and all other tabs for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes available in the main iTunes window. This is where you make your selections for the various items to be synced or transferred to your iPhone.
Under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, deselect sync email accounts followed by selecting Apply. If you have already created and are accessing your MobileMe account on your iPhone, this does not need to be selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. -
ITunes help with syncing; many error messages, Help please!
So, I have downloaded and re-downloaded the new iTunes 10.7 about a thousand times. Everytime I try to download, I get the message "rolling back" and then it starts up again and continues to download. Once downloaded, I plug my iPod touch 4th generation in and I get two pop-up messages: the first says "...mobile device is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation or contact your system administration or the software vendor for support." The next message I receive is "iTunes requires a newer version of Apple Mobile Device Support. Please uninstall both Apple Mobile Device Support and iTunes, then install iTunes again." What am I doing wrong? Can someone please help? I would greatly appreciate it. I have been at this for about 4 hours and all I want to do is buy the new Red album and listen to it commuting to college.
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Mobile Device Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Mobile Device Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".

Since reinstalling itunes i can no longer sync. Error message says already synced with another itunes library. I get a blank sync - no songs, photos ect as it comes up with this error whenever try to select what is to be synced. Help - lost everything. Complete nightmare - Apple sort a fix NOW, but will take any help

I actually figured it out a while ago.
Turns out it is not an issue with the iPhone or iTunes.
By process of elimination I deduced it could be a permissions issue with the hard drive and/or folder that holds the contents of my Music Library.
For example, if the "Sharing & Permissions" settings (found in the "Get Info" Window) are set to "Read Only" on the internal or external drive that contains your Music Library for iTunes then you can not write to the disk. Therefore, you do not have privelges to make changes to the internal or external drive and you get the error message when you try to sync with the information on that drive.
Here's the kicker and million dollar questions:
How did the "Sharing & Permissions" settings get changed on my Hard Drive without me doing it?
Why did my iPhone sync fine yesterday and suddenly today the Hard Drive is doing this?
I have to set all priveleges to all drives to "Read & Write" and that just doesn't seem very secure to me. -

Did you do the Super Duper clone before you tried to reinstall the OS? If so, the original install disc is likely earlier than 10.4.11, and that may be why you are getting the message.
When trying to reinstall the OS, did you select the "Archive and Install" option? If not, you might try that. Here's a link that might help:

During sync, itoons error message "User's iphone cannot be synced. You do not have enought access proviliedges for this operation". Never happened before, any ideas what to do? Checked and new computer is authorized. Greg

Have never been able to backup iTouch in iTunes sync. Error message says that a session cannot be started. Have tried manual backup - same message. Thanks for any advice!

This may indicate a hardware issue with your device. Follow Troubleshooting security software issues, and restore your device on a different known-good computer. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
The" may need service' meand there is a hardware problem. In that case make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

I updated to iTunes 12 and didn't like it. Followed advice to revert to 11.1. Now my iPhone 5 won't sync and error message says I need iTunes 11.2 or higher. Apple Download choices didn't have anything between 11.1.5 and 12. What can I do? Using iTunes 12 is not an option. Many features I used for audiobooks have disappeared.

My problem - when syncing and error messages comes up: iTunes could not sync calendars to the iPhone because an error occurred while margin data." I've tried turning the phone off and back on, & tried both USB ports but get the same thing. What can I do next since it doesn't give me even one clue as to what the error would be?
Before I started to resync calendars one by one as suggested in the troubleshooting article, I remembered something that came up in a sync when I first attempted : a 'which one do you want to keep' message about a repeating calendar event, which came up with three options, one from Calendar, and two from iCal on the phone. I deleted that event, then went through the calendar resync one by one, and all seems OK now.
In Music there is a way to find 'ghost' items that show up as grayed-out on the menus, so that you can try to reassociate or delete them. It would be nice to have a similar way to work with Calendar!

I installed sync on my home pcs and they sync bookmarks perfectly, but today I installed it on my pc at work and it won't sync - no error messages pop up and it won't sync using the company network or my cellular modem.
If you get an error that says can't backup, try moving the existing backup file to a safe location and thry again. again. You can find the location of the backup file here:
