Syncing messes up gallery

How is it possible that the Aperture 3 MobileMe library section when it starts syncing with the Gallery suddenly removes several pictures from a gallery album and replaces them with several copies of one and the same other picture?
I had made some adjustments to some pictures which I had uploaded to the Gallery from Aperture a few days before, but today it started syncing and messed the gallery album up. I've seen now that the syncing goes from gallery to aperture and not the other way. But why does this have to ruin the gallery album?
I deleted the MobileMe files from the Aperture library.
Is there no way to sync from Aperture to MobileMe or do you have to replace the adjusted pictures from the Aperture library in the gallery album?

No, not at all.
On one full sync (iPod Video 5G) all artists under "A" had the same album art, from a Hedley album.
On another sync (iPod Touch 1G) album art was scattered all over, different artists (with no particular trend) had incorrect album art.
In both cases, iTunes shows the correct album art for everything...

i uploaded an album from iphoto to my gallery and the next day i added 2 pictures to that album in iphoto and they were not synced to my gallery?

Once you create the iPhoto MMe gallery the Album you originally used is not longer linked to it.
You need to copy the new photos from wherever in the library they are and paste them into the gallery album that you access in the Web section at the left.

Syncing with web gallery

Hey,
I was wondering if there is anyway to turn off syncing. I want to delete an "event", but i want to keep the album on my web gallery (.mac). If i delete my "Event" will it also delete my album on .mac ???
Is it possible to transfer photo albums to another mac and have the web gallery sync with my other mac? Or do I need to delete everything, and re-upload everything?

Back Up and try try rebuilding the database. Hold down the apple and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.

Sync messed up my date & time

Can anyone help with this, please?
Since performing a sync between my PC suite and Nokia N95 two things have become messed up on my phone.
First, it cant remember what date and time it is so every time I switch off and on again I have to re-input the date and time.
Second, it's rearranged my text messages inbox (and sent folder) into a weird order making it really hard to find new unread messages as they appear somewhere in the middle of the list. I used to have them appear in chrolological order with the most recent at the top of the list?
Im using windows XP, connecting by data-cable, using PC suite version 6.85.14.1 and usually do a 2 way sync where the phone takes priority over the PC if there's a conflict.

2x aperture library (desktop and notebook) sync to mobileMe gallery

i've 2x aperture library, (one on MacPro and second on Macbook Pro). How can I sync to the same MobileMe Gallery and keep both aperture mobileme album in sync (update), thanks?

Help in restoring the contacts which ovi sync mess...

I had meticulously organized all my contacts and synced them with OVI suite to my N8. Then when i trie to sync using OVI suite to OVI.com suite started crashing repeatedly. Then i tried to sync from my mobile and ended up messing up all my contacts with the old ones already on the server.
Ok, now what i want is to delete all these messed up contacts and put contacts from either outlook or ovi suite (yes, luckily the contacts in outlook and ovi suite are intact since i synced only with my handset). Can anybody help?

I have a similar problem with messed up contacts by OVI Sync. Duplicates to all of my contacts where created in my OVI Sync database as well as in my N95 after I was trying to synchronise my N95 with my OVI Sync online database (I don't really understand how that happened, however, the problem is happened there are no settings what to do in case when duplicates are found). Right now, the only correct and actual data (contacts, calendar, notes,...) are in my N8, my N95 and OVI Sync online database are messed up (duplicates). And because there are no synchronisation settings (such us where to take the information from when different information are found) neither in my N8 nor in the OVI Sync online server, I am afraid to proceed with any synchronisation using my N8. Thanks for your help and suggestions in advance.

HT1386 I need to sync my Kodak Gallery and some other apps from my ipad to dell computer . I cant find ther itune store that they are talking about, only to buy itunes help dont want to lose my pics and videos

want to transfer my ipad apps like kodak gallery ,drop box , wsj to my dell computer so that I can get the ippad fixed. I synced everything except the apps bought on ipad. I tried going to itune store like they recommended but I didnt know what to click on and its very importasnt to me that I dont lose my pictures and videos

MobileMe Sync Mess--How did I get managed images?

I see that I have a number of managed images.... they seem to be related to my previously created MobileMe galleries that were created with another AP library or perhaps some were done without AP.
So, this is a mess.... I don;t want AP littering my library with stuff it finds on the internet...
Aso, I see the import sessions has blossomed to a large number.... it seems as it was syncing with MobileMe every 3 pics or so it created a new import session..... is that crazy or what?
Any thoughts about dealing with these issues???

I'll be honest, I am having a hard time following what you are saying so I'll do my best to hopefully give you some guidance.
Currently, Aperture will show all the photos you sync with Mobile Me in your Aperture library. That is to say that if you select an album, and it contains photos that are not currently in your Aperture library, those photos will now appear. This may not be the desired behavior for you but there really isn't a way to have them not appear. The same would go for the import sessions, it may not be how you want it to work but that is currently how the application behaves. IPhone/MobileMe calendars sync mess

I have the same calendar that is supposed to sync my two computers and iPhone with MobileMe calendar. What happens is that when I make changes to the calendar on my iPhone it does not affect MobileMe. How do I make iPhone calendar sync with MobileMe? Thanks.

On the iPhone got to:
Setting-> Mail, Contacts, Calendars->Under Accounts choose your MobileMe account.
Make sure the slider for Syncing Calendars is switched on.
If it is then it's the settings on the computer(s). Make sure you are logged into the MobileMe "Dashboard". Windows (under Control Panel). Mac would be System Preferences and MobileMe (make sure to check the Calendar sync).

Sync Messed up Album Art

The last time I synched my iPhone, album artwork from a few of the songs was transferred to podcasts. For instance, "Car Talk" podcasts now have the "Speaking in Tongues" (Talking Heads) album cover art. How can I fix this and restore the NPR Car Talk logo?

I have had a similar issue, but much more...started with the messed up album art, and now the following problems are happening (5th Generation 30 GB ipod):
won't play video - Just black screen for 10 seconds, then back to menu
sometimes won't play podcasts - when clicking on podcast it goes to the play screen and then without the timer moving it acts as if it's played the entire podcast, and goes back to menu.
also, sometimes the music or podcast gets terribly garbled almost like "electronic noise"
I have restored 2 times, and reset numerous times, but it continues to happen!!

Sync with web gallery

When first setting up my web gallery, I accidently imported an incorrectly named folder with pictures that I didn't want public. I removed the file on iphoto, however it still exists on the webgallery and I am unable to edit it. Ultimatly I would like to delete it. Can anyone tell me how?

Go into iPhoto's preferences/Web Gallery section, click on the web gallery in the window and click on the Stop Publishing button. Then recreate the gallery and republish.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. IPhone sync with Web Gallery

I have been sending photos, taken with my iPhone, to a .Mac Web Gallery.
When I view info for a photo, it has very little information attached to to it; height, width, name, size and import date. Is there a way to make it so iPhone can attach more information, like the date, and possibly the camera make, model and software?
I would think that Apple would want to have people know that the iPhone took the photo by inserting that into the photo info.

What you see - the information provided with the photo upload to a Web Gallery is what you get.
I may be unique but rarely am I interested in such information nor look nor do any of my family and friends that view my Web Galleries but you can provide Apple feedback here.

IPhoto not syncing with MobileMe Gallery

I took a lot of pictures this past weekend and for the past three days have been trying to get them on my MobileMe Gallery. Every time I try to publish, it starts going - looks like normal - and then an error pops up saying something about not being able to access or publish to the server or something. It is dirivng me crazy! In some cases, half an event will publish and in some cases, no pictures in an event will publish at all. I am using the latest version of leopard, and the latest version of iPhoto. I have a full .mac / MobileMe account and it has plenty of available space. Can anyone help me? I have pictures of my friends' baby that she wants to see and I can't show her..

This fix was for another issue, emails, but has help iWeb users in getting published to MMe. A long shot but might work for you:

After waiting a day for the rolling restore to happen, I called AppleCare because Apple had sent an email saying my service was back, and it wasn't. I still could send and not receive using Mail.
Here is what fixed it. *Go to MobileMe (terrible name) in System Preferences, log out. Then enter a garbage name and password and try to log in. This apparently clears the MobileMe preferences. Then enter your real UserName and PassWord.* For me this was lights on.
I am left wondering how long ago I could have had email had I known this preference reset scheme.

Syncing messed up MMS

I synced my 3GS this morning. Now the camera icon is gone from within a texting conversation and from my albums, the only choice for sending is "email, assign as contact, and set as wallpaper". MMS is no longer a choice. I've done a hard reset once and rebooted twice. No help. Is anyone having the same problems with this most recent sync?

Syncing Messed Up My Music Library and Playlists?

So I plugged my iPhone 4 into my Mac to put a song on it, and it started syncing. Before, I always just stopped it and nothing ever happened with it. This time I stopped it just as I usually did, and after that I went in and turned off Auto-Sync. I ejected and unplugged my phone and nothing had changed. When I plugged it in a again a few minutes later to try to put the song on my phone again, it hadn't worked the first time, I finally got the song onto my phone. But the weird part was that there were a bunch of songs showing up in my library on my phone that were really light grey, songs that I didn't have on my phone. They didn't play, and I figure that they're songs that iTunes put on my phone when I plugged it in, even though it shouldn't have because I had just turned Auto-Sync off. Also, all of my playlists except for Purchased were erased and I even lost the album art from almost half of my songs, which has really made me mad. They were all songs that I purchased legitimately from iTunes, some as recently as yesterday, and now the album art is gone. I don't know how to fix it besides maybe turning on Auto-Sync, but I don't want any songs from my Mac to convert over to my phone. How can I fix this? Is there a way to fix it, or has iTunes just completely screwed up my music?

It's all the songs in my purchased playlist that have had the album art deleted. I'm going back through and deleting them and redownloading them on my phone, but it's going to take forever, and I'm still mad about this.
