Syncing ovi playlists with N8 device

Is there a way to sync the playlists i have in my ovi suite with my N8? Dragging and dropping only copies them.

The OVI music player is of no use either. It does have an auto-transfer option. But it failed to copy the playlists to my device, leave alone syncing. Finally i had to settle down for drag n drop with OVI suite. But when i change the playlists then the trouble will start. Would have loved a sync option (which i gather, was in the earlier versions of OVI suite). Nokia, plz take notice...

How to sync iTunes playlists on multiple devices

Hi - just a quick one & I am sure that many of you guru's already understand how to do this but.. From time to time, while traveling - etc, I will make playlists on whatever device that I happen to be using & wish that they would show up on my other devices. For instance, last week I created a quick playlist on my iPad and it doesnt show up on my iPhone nor any of the other 4 Apple devices (including computers) that I use frequently. Any help would be appreciated!

I have a friend who uses iTunes Match, and that will automatically sync the playlists between his devices. One thing to know though is that when you setup iTunes Match on your iOS device for the first time, it will erase what you have on the device and replace it with what is on iTunes Match. So...you might want to export those playlists first.

I can't sync my playlists with ipod classic or a new ipod touch.

I have been having problems with my iPod Classic in my car. Colleague used his iphone with no issues. I reset my iPod classic to original factory settings but now when I sync my playlists with iTunes are not included. Very strange.

I'm having the same problem with my 30GB U2 iPod. I used iSquint to convert my video, and it plays perfectly fine on my iTunes, but it just goes to a black screen when I try to play it on my iPod. The movie is in Mpeg-4 format, which is supposed to work on the iPod-- right?

Syncing smart playlists with location set to "on this computer"

I have a ton of playlists with multiple creitera that after the upgrade to iOS7 just stopped working entirely. It turns out that when I added "location - on this computer" as a filter to avoid seeing everything in my icloud, that no longer applied to media synced to iOS devices.
I guess that makes sense, except the precedent was set when it worked in iOS6, and more importantly there isn't a filter setting for "on this computer and/or synced devices". There's just "on this computer" and "in the cloud".
I can't be the only one annoyed with this. Can anyone think of a filter that would work for me?

Why can't I sync a playlist with only podcasts in it (to my IPHON4)?

Made a playlist with specific podcasts in it. (my weekly show series I like to listen to)
But, it will not sync the podcast shows. It seems like I can only sync the 10 or 5 or xx latest shows. Seems kind of dumb that I can't create a list to be able to listen to several podcasts in a user defined order....

Sync iTunes Playlist with other Mac

Hey everybody!! I have an iMac with a 20.000+ Song Music Library which I do most of my work on. I also have a 128GB macbook air which I use for DJing.
Is there any way that I could wirelessly sync the playlists I make on my iMac with my Macbook Air?
I would be using iTunes Match but the problem is that matched songs are only available in 256k and I need them in 320k.

How do I sync a playlist with no name to iTunes?

I created a playlist on the iPad itself and when the window came up to enter a name for the playlist, I hit down without typing anything. When I synced my iPad to iTunes, the unnamed playlist did not show up. Is there a way to rename this playlist or somehow get it to iTunes, or copy its content into a new playlist with a name?

I have been using Thunderbird on some computers during many years. It is true now that Thunderbird 7 can´t sync adressbook with Suite.
Anyhow, Nokia has been the only phone manufacturer that has been supporting Thunderbird as long as I can remember.
just to be fair, and further more, it is time to Thunderbird to improve import/export functions for content. It is a dister nowadays and it has been for long. I am only using Thunderbird nowadays as a email client on 2 computers. All emails are on servers, also contacts and calender.
You will not be better off concerning sync issues and backup system in an Android. Just check it up for yourself...

We all like different kinds of music and we are now having a difficult time trying to manage the playlists on the different devices. How do we manually manage playlists for each separate device? Sync .m4b playlist with iOS 7

I think this is yet another issue with iOS 7s handling of audiobooks but... On my iPod 4th gen I can sync the audiobook playlists (.m4b files NOT .mp3) but they don't sync with my 5th generation iPod. I make the playlists for books with multiple novels (like a trilogy) so they will play one after another so if I'm driving when one ends the next will start automatically... So anyone know? Is this just another poor change (like the lack of chapter-lists) to iOS 7 or is there a work-around I haven't yet found? Will manual syncing allow me to do this? (I doubt it but...) . This is on a Windows machine, iTunes 11.3 BTW, but I don't think that matters..

In iTunes on computer try changing the Media Kind (iTunes>Click on Get Info for the item>Option. It should them move to your Music library

iTunes is designed to only sync Apple devices.
However, you can use the same songs in your iTunes library and copy them to other devices, especially if they are in MP3 format. Just follw the directions that came with your player.

It sounds like you aren't able to see your iOS devices in iTunes to sync to them. If that is the case use the troubleshooting in the following article, named:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for OS X
Follow these steps to resolve your issue:
If you haven't connected your iOS device to this computer before, unlock the device and tap Trust. Learn more about the Trust This Computer alert.
Restart your iOS device.
Restart your Mac.
Make sure that your Mac meets the minimum system requirements for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Install software updates on your Mac.
If an iTunes update is available, apply the update.
Check USB connections. iOS devices need USB 2.0 to work properly. If you're not sure your Mac has USB 2.0 ports, check the computer's specifications.
Disconnect other USB devices and connect your device directly to a USB port on your Mac.
Try another USB cable.
If that is not what is happening, would you mind elaborating on what is happening when you try to sync your devices? Is there an error message of any sort?

Sync Offline Playlists on all devices

Hi everyone,i have a question and didnt find an answer on the forums: Is there a way to automatically get a playlist offline on my second device if i make it offline on my first device?The idea behind: I have a second mobile in my car which should automatically download playlists which i have offline on my first mobile. As long as I know there's no way to do that.
You will need to mark a playlist Available for Offline in each device for it to start downloading the songs within it.
You can just take your second mobile out of your car into your home, download the playlists you want, and finally return it back to your car.

Amazing steps you've done so far! The great news is this is very unlikely an issue with your iPhone.
I've run into a similar issue lately as well. I narrowed it down to one song that was causing 30 songs not to sync. I removed the song from the sync list (unchecked it) and all 29 songs were able to sync.
You may be running into a similar issue. This may be a problem with this version of iTunes, an issue with one song or a group of songs; hard to know for sure. It's important to narrow down and isolate the cause. Most imporantly get that music back on there!
The way to narrow down the casue add just a few songs at a time (even 1, just to get that first sync finished). Manually syncing is what you'll need here.
Plug in your iPhone, on the Summary screen (shows a picture of your iPhone, the iOS version, Restore iPhone....; etc). Under the Options area at the bottom choose to Manually Manage Videos and Music then choose Apply in the lower right. The music that's on your iPhone now should be removed from your iPhone now. You're now able to sync music manually.
The link below explains how to drag the songs from the iTunes library on the computer on to your iPhone which will start the sync. Add just one song just to see if you can get 1 of those hundreds of songs on there. If you can, awesome! Keep adding until you find the song or group of songs that are causing this issue.
