System Language after upgrade to 10.4.6

Hi everybody,
my PowerBook seems to run nicely after the upgrade, however, the language of the LoginWindow has changed from German (my user's default) to English. The language of my account is German when I'm logged in. Any hints on how to resolve this?

PS: No, this is not critical... but it's not nice, either.

The update didn't change my system language (Danish), so it can't be a general problem. How did you update your system?
I used the Combo Update¹ and ran Repair Permissions both before and after the update. I always use the Combo version of updates just to be sure. So far (knock on wood) I haven't had any trouble with updates for 10.4

[SOLVED] System freeze after upgrade linux-3.12.9-2 to linux-3.13.4-1

After upgrading from kernel 3.12.9 to 3.13.4 (booth x86_64 architecture) i detected system freeze after round about 0.5s of the login screen about 80% of the time.
So i first thought it coulbe be the the ati driver and uninstalled that via livecd/chroot.
But the same thing happens in comand line only mode.
Afterwards i setup at ssh server to get into the maschine if it is still running, but is was also not responding to that.
Downgrading to 3.12.9 solved the issue. In journalctl i could not find any usefull information.

Problems with language after upgrade?

We did an upgrade from 4.6C to 6.0 and as part of the upgrade the spanish language was imported again. SMLT was runned after the upgrade so it finished the import of the language because the upgrade do not import the whole language because it takes too much time.
Now when I enter DB13, ST03N or some other transactions, i get a mix between Spanish, German and English only if I logged in spanish, if I login in English then everything works just fine.
I've been looking for SAP notes about this and don´t find anything, does anybody knows about a note in reference to this problem or know how to solve this?
In another upgrade from 4.5B to 6 the samethig happens but the client did not matter about this as they usually login in English to do administrative tasks.

without being the expert, which would solve your topic... This is probably the following:
Each object in the system is assigned to a main language and different translation languages (i.e. a field name is available in 32 different languages). The translation level depends on the type of documentation.
The system (depending on the language settings) first tries to show you the translation, which corresponds to your login-language. If this translation is not available, then it goes back to the object in a main language (like English). A screen might then include Spanish and English Field names, or even "Placeholders".
In newly installed SAP ECC 6.0 systems, the first thing I would think about is, that you intend to shown an object, which is not translated, or that your language is not properpy installed, or that the language presentation vector of your system is not properly maintained, or that you have Unicode topics.
For a solution start into the following direction
- on service.sap.com/globalization (language information and media library) find out more about the langauge concept, and the translation aspects for the different objects/ languages
- Consider the MDMP/ Unicode topic.
- In the system check the language settings and language import status
- regarding upgrade/ unicode start witht he recommenations in the upgrade master guide SAP ERP 6.0, or the information at service.sap.com/unicode@sap.

System problems after upgrade

now I really cannot understand this upgrade to 5.0.1.. my computer worked just great with the 4.9 version and now I had several iTunes-crashes, problems with the internet connection WLAN(which suddenly occurred after the update) and even a failed installation of the sony ericsson k750 "pc suite" software due to an "unsolved problem" in QT7.
I am really dissapointed, this software is just not ready for public use and my whole system has started to act weird. if someone can help please do so!

System freezes after upgrade to os x 10.6.8

Try this:
Boot from the Snow Leopard DVD and start the installation process. After you select the Language, the next screen will display a menu bar. Go to Utilities in the menu bar and select Disk Utility. When DU opens, select your drive on the left, click the First Aid tab (on the top) and click on Repair Disk.
When that is done, click Repair Permissions.
When that is done, quit DU and restart the computer in the usual way.

Why does Final Cut cause a hard system crash after upgrading computer's memory?

2x2.8 gHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon MacPro that orginally came with 2gBs of memory. We upgraded to 4gBs of memory by adding 2 1gB ram chips. Ever since, Final Cut Pro has been causing hard system crashes. Does anybody have an idea why this is happening?

Installing memory is very specific
the correct type of DIMMs must be installed in the correct slots dependant on the type of processor fitted
install exactly as per the Mac Pro guidelines here:

you will have to reload the web page a few times after the page warning to down load correctly (command R)
if it is per the instructions and your having trouble, the DIMMs are most likely faulty

Some Site Collection not showing up (even the system pages) after upgrade

Following http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263299.aspx I just did database upgrade from 2010 to 2013. Some of the site collections are not showing up. These are basic site collection with almost no custom code. Just bunch of list and libraries.

Yes , you need to proceed to change the authentication mode . According to your error message “Non-OAuth request. IsAuthenticated=True, UserIdentityName=, ClaimsCount=0” and “UserAgent not available, file
operations may not be optimized”, all of them can be caused by the authenticate. So make sure you have upgraded cleanly and effectively to Claims Based Authentication.

Updating satellite system data after Upgrade in Solman

Hi All,
We are using solman 7.01 connected to BI 7.0 system as it's satellite system, We have recently Upgrade our BI system to BI 7.01 version but we do not see its updated version in solman system.
We checked in SMSY it is still showing BI 7.0, we have also done option " Read data from system " but it did not work.
Please suggest to Update my system data in solman.

When you clicked in "Read system Data Remote", were the information returned with success in the logs ?
Usually the informations aren't pushed because the READ Rfc's are failing.
If you run job LANDSCAPE FETCH, the information are being collected correctly ?

Hi, I have just moved from 11.1 release to 11.2 release but this fault is preventing me from using 11.2
If i try to access System Administration Panels like "Users" or "SMF Services" I get two error messages and can not proceed.
If I roll back to the previous BE, (11.1) it all works fine).
An error occurred while creating the system proxy
Navigation Failed. The first component of the address, "vp" is not a valid control.
The error is mentioned here https://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg09791.html but I can not see the link content and it was a long time ago.
Not sure if it is relevant, but i am behing a pfsense/squid proxy - but have this server IP excluded/set to bypass the proxy.
Also, not sure if it is relevant but here is the output from the following:

Ensure that the "solaris-desktop" package group is correctly installed :

Can you access a Leopard previous system folder after upgrading to Snow?

If I have a previous system folder from 10.5, can I copy to my machine running Snow Leopard and access files? I have it archived and want to upgrade a MacBook intel currently using Tiger to either Leopard or Snow Leopard and then access the files.
I see the previous system folder and user on the Tiger machine fine. It shows correct folder sizes, but files do not appear...assuming because it's 10.5.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Long story...but basically was using 10.5 regularly, then had some major issues (couldn't even log in at all). Went to reinstall OS but my Leopard system disc was damaged. So went back to 10.4 (had old disc)and copied previous system folder to archive. Was going to buy and reinstall 10.5 but thought about going all the way to SL instead.

E52 system error after upgrade to 033.002

I have upgrade my E52-1 type RM-049 to version 033.002 (Custom version 033.0022.205.04) and now experience System Errors.
They pop-up ever 1-2 minutes. I only can accept the error by pressing 'OK'.
The phone seems to work Ok, but it is very annoying.
Anyone an idea how to solve this problem?
I have switch the phone off and on, took out the battery and switch from the Dutch to the English, but nothing that solved it so far.

Warning, a hard reset will delete all you data, apps and wipe your phone. You can do a backup, but your installed apps would be lost. Could you not uninstall that running app instead? Or are you willing to do the hard reset?
Well first try a factory settings reset with the code *#7780# on your dialpad.

Help! Total System reset after upgrade to mountain lion!

I just upgraded my Mac pro from Lion to Mountain lion. At first, it was running slow, seemingly because of all the social updates. So I turned off notifications for Twitter, email, etc.. I ran disk utility and repaired the disk. I restarted a few times. It was working better after that. I did some work, then shut off my computer.
This morning I started my computer to what looks like a freshly installed OS! My dock is smaller, because all of my bought apps are missing. My personal photos are missing, documents in the download folder, folders on my desktop, all missing. I looked in the app folder and see Aperature still there but a social app I use Adium shows as a phantom icon.
What could have happened?? How can I retreive my old docs?

Warning messages in system log after upgrading to SP4

Hello there, I am starting to see quite a lot of warning messages in the system log saying the following:
Failed loading JDBC Driver class com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver - Exception:java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver
Failed loading JDBC Driver class com.sap.dbtech.jdbc.DriverSapDB - Exception:java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.sap.dbtech.jdbc.DriverSapDB
Failed loading JDBC Driver class org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver - Exception:java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver
We are using MSSQL as the underlying database, so maybe something needs to be unchecked somewhere? Any ideas?

I just updated to SP4 and tried a user creation (my database is also MSSQL). I did not see any warnings in the system logs. Like Thomas said you must have extra entries in the Tools/Option/Java/JDBC driver names.
All you need is just one entry "com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver".

Problem in the BI system after upgrade

Hi,
We had EHP1 upgrade for BI 7.0 system.
After upgrade to SAPKW70107, we are facing error in mapping units to the keyfigures in transformation.
Before upgrade those objects were perfectly alright.
Please help us with some solution other than implementing SAP Notes.
