T440 will not operate 3 external displays

I'm using a T440 model 20B7000XUK and I'm connected to a Thinkpad Pro Dock I have 3 external displays connected as follows:
Lenovo Display LEN L193pC connected by DVI
Lenovo Display LEN L192p connected by VGA
Lenovo Display LEN LT2252pwA connected by DP
the DVI display will not work when the DP display is connected. is there any way to get all three displays working?

I have tried to connect it to my TV with my mini display port to DVI and a DVI to S-video and nothing...
I don't know what your DVI to S-Video adapter looks like, but unless it's a boxy converter device, it won't work. You need a converter box to create an analog S-Video signal from a Mini-Displayport's digital-only output. The converter boxes I'm familiar with require VGA input rather than DVI input, but there may be others I don't know about. If you are using a simple DVI -> S-Video adapter such as the one offered on the Apple Store, it won't work with your MBP to deliver S-Video to a TV set.

A MDP > VGA adapter and a standard VGA cable are what you need for that. Converting first to DVI and then from DVI to VGA makes the setup unnecessarily complicated and may be the reason why it doesn't work for you.

Was using a $7 aftermarket minidisplay port to HDMI cable with success for about 2 months with no problems detecting external display. Started having problems (it would randomly detect until it eventually would not at all) and tried all solutions I could find in discussion boards to no avail. I recently bought a $40 cable from the apple store and it worked fine for about a month and now it only recognizes my external display about 50% of the time (which is how the problem began the first time). My daughter recieved player as gift two months ago. It had been working fine until recently. She doesn't have a charger and charges the unit at the USB. The most we can get the player to do at this point is to display the copyright page then the word CREATIVE. We cannot shut the unit off with the switch and must remove the battery. Can anyone help?

Try going into rescue mode and see if any of the option there work.

Thinkpad Edge S430 - Windows does not detect external display connected via HDMI

On a Thinkpad S430 with HD4000 integrated graphics, an external display connected via a HDMI cable is not detected at all when using Windows. The system is fully updated as of the time of posting this message, both via the Lenovo Update tool as well as Windows update.
The Intel driver version is 8.15.10.2696. It appears that this is the latest version, since it does not offer an update when I try to auto-update it via Device Manager.
NB: I am running Ubuntu 12.04 with kernel 3.4.0 on the same machine, and the external display works perfectly fine with this software configuration.
Hence I think that it's very likely that this is a Windows-specific driver issue.
Would Lenovo happen to have a driver update in the works? Alternatively, I will be thankful for any suggestions about possible resolution of this problem.

MBA mid-2012 does not see external display on wakeup

My mid-2012 MBA does not see external displays on wakeup. VERY annoying
I have a BenQ 24" HD display connected by HDMI and it is not seen by the Air on wakeup. I have to open the laptop, pull the mini-DV plug out 3 or 4 times before the display is recognised - some of the time. Most of the time requires a reboot with multiple cable/plug inserts.
What an absolute POS this mid-2012 MBA is! Apple finally fixed the garbage colours on external displays in 10.8.4 but the issue of recognisisng external displays remains. Its a crock. Totally regret buyiing this POS.
Have reset PRAM, SMS, cleared prefs etc etc ad nauseum. No solution with any of them. After almost a year of this garbage, the laptop is close to being thrown out as e-waste.

I would first try resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Next would be to restore the iPod from backup

Late 2008 15 inch Macbook Pro will not detect external projector

I have a Toshiba projector that I am trying to hook up to my Macbook Pro for a presentation tomorrow. The computer will not detect the display. I'm using a DVI cable connected to the Mini Display Port. I know I've got the projector on the right input as my white Macbook with mini DVI will detect it but not display it properly (all green).
I've tried shutting down and disconnecting and everything. I need this to work asap.

Have you checked the screensaver and power settings, sleep display etc in the System Preferences?
You can throw this mega cocktail at it, see if it cleans up your problem.

Run ALL the maintainence and cleaning aspects, , especially the caches, you can cancel the reboot in between.
Finially run the Verify > Preference file check/repair and then reboot.
This should clean out all your caches and whatnot.

Touch screen will NOT operate to sync media

I have the replacement phione, but the touch screen will not operate and i have no way of syncing media - ALL pictures - to my PC. This is the SECOND replacement phone, but at least the last time it froze, I was still able to sync.

Thanks - that worked great. Next question - Am I able to erase all of the persoanl data from the handset? I realize everything is bacled up by Palm, but my concern is the actual handset, and if the touchscreen were to be activated again, all date is readily accessable. i would like to wipe the handset clean.

You're having trouble with an Apple Application Support dll there, Sheryl.
I'd try uninstalling both Safari and Apple Application Support, then reinstalling Safari (thus reinstalling Apple Application Support). I'd also take a few extra explicit precautions along the way, just in case.

I know that is of no help, but I have the same problem with a Toshiba harddrive. My wifes Macbook Air recognizes it. No problem with the hd I guess. But my macbook pro won't show it in the Finder, About this mac or disk utility - even though it is running. I would also be glad to get a solution to this.

T440s will not power on unless plugged in

My T440s will not power on unless the power adapter is plugged in. Once it has powered on, I can unplug the power cable and it will stay on.
Needless to say, this is not an optimal situation for a laptop.
Please tell me there is a fix, and that it does not require shipping my laptop back to Lenovo again.

So, I believe I have the same or similar problem. What I think is happening is the internal battery shuts off when the AC power is connected. However, it doesn't reactivate and when you try to power from battery it won't work.
These are two workarounds I have found that seem to work for me:
1. Unplug the laptop before you shutdown. This switches to battery mode and activates the internal battery.
2. Go into your BIOS and change your USB setting so that Always On is active when on battery. This will allow you to charge your phone or other device using the Always On USB and will keep the internal battery activated.

PowerMac G4 Dual Optical - will not boot & no display

PowerMac G4 Dual Optical - Model Number 8570 EMC No 1914 : 1.25GHz DP/256M DDR@ 333/80G/Combo/MDM Operating system OS X 1st or 2nd release
This machine was used daily until February 2007. From then till the last week of September 2009 the machine was in storage and was not powered up
When tried for the first time in over 2 years, the machine powered up and the main switch on the front of the computer came on but no audible chime was heard. The machine will not boot & no display (apart from grey screen visible).
The 3.6 v lithium battery was replaced. PRAM & NVRAM has been reset via the keyboard commands : CommandOption+PR keys. After this, the chimes would work on power up but nothing is visible on screen. Also although the keyboard is functional evidenced by the success of the PRAM reset commands, the num & caps lock lights will not work nor will the CD drive "arrow" eject button. I have also removed the battery, reset the PMU on the logic board, and left the machine for over 30 minutes before powering up again:
Please advise if there is anything else I can try before I take it to a dealer for repair ?

After about 10 seconds the Mac just spits it out. I am using the newest version of the Beta Yosemite OS X 10.10.3 Version. I'm a little more than a novice user, just to keep in mind... Can anyone help me fix this problem?

Aside from running the beta (and not being allowed to discuss anything at all about it anywhere including these forums), I have found that some commercial DVDs (and actually also music CDs) are coded such that they will not play in any device that could ostensibly be used to copy the content due to DRM/copyright issues. The DVDs played just fine in both of my DVD players hooked up to my TVs and the music CDs worked in my stereo system.
Have you tried to play those in a regular DVD player?
