T510 missing options for display resolution

I am looking to order a T510.  Lenovo site does not show options for display resolutions any more. I need WUXGA, how do I verify this before placing an order?

Hi vijpersonal,
There is no T510 with WUXGA. WUXGA is 1920x1200, but the new Thinkpads got FHD which is 1920x1080. As far as i understand it's hard to get a T510 with FHD at the moment. Seems like Lenovo have some delivery problems for models with the FHD panel. If you search for FHD in this forum you can find a lot of discussions about that topic. I'm sure the FHD will be available soon, but don't know when that might happen. You can also get the W510 with the FHD panel and those should be possible to buy now.
You can find the Thinkpad Notebooks pdf using this link: http://www.lenovo.com/psref/
Then you can find detailed spec for a lot of Thinkpads. I don't think you will find any T510 with FHD at the moment though.
Also i'm not sure where you are looking since i just checked shop.lenovo.com and for each of the models the resolution are specified.

  • Sleep option for display only yosemite 5K iMac

    Hi
I've used a macbook in the past on snow leopard and lion and these had independent sliders for display and computer sleep. My wife bought me a 5k retina iMac at the weekend (i was shocked) and notice it only has a slider for display sleep.
Is this normal behaviour for yosemite on a new iMac? I see there is an option to prevent sleeping when the display is off, so does this mean effectively as soon as the display goes off the computer sleeps? Not good if you are using plea media library on your mac..
    Thanks for any advice.

I noticed the same issue and cannot find any information as to when the iMac actually goes to sleep. It's unclear to me whether "Display off" = Sleep or not.
Meanwhile, there is a nice tool called "Caffeine" on the Mac App Store that will work well for you and your Media Server issue: https://itunes.apple.com/de/app/caffeine/id411246225?l=en&mt=12

  • Options for Displaying Reference Attribute in AdvancedTable Record

    Hi,
I'm looking for options for including reference attributes within an advanced table records as just another column.  Specifically how can I include a lookup meaning column in a detail advancedtable component when the lookup meaning is not in the VO?
Some options I've thought of are:
    1. Change the VO to be defined with the lookup meaning by using "Expert Mode" and adding the joins.  This will not work because I need to change detail VO attribute via a controller/am method and (due to a bug) the change will not be saved to the database.
    2. Create an EO for the lookup entity and an AO to associate the detail EO with the lookup EO.  Then create a VO that is based upon both of these entities.  The problem I ran into with this option is that when the lookup code in the detail VO attribute is changed OAF tries to look for the old lookup code record in the detail VO and it will not find it and throws a error on the page.
    3. Create another detail advancedtable component in the detail VO advancedtable component.  Since I need the value within the detail advancedtable record and this would place it in a new detail this will not satisfy the requirement.
    Thank you

If UOM is also changed with qty then old & new UOM should be available in CDHDR & CDPOS.
If not then display current UOM.
This logic will fail if UOM is also changed several times without changing Qty, which normally does not happen. So you can confirm with business, if this much info is enough.
Making logic to work in case UOM is also changed several times, would require quite complex logic & will affect performance badly.

  • Adobe XI send for shared review is missing option for Adobe online services, where did it go?

I am using Adobe XI and trying to share a PDF file using Comments --> Review ---> Send for Shared Review.  The option to share via Adobe Online Services is missing.  What is causing this and how do I get that option back? I am working on a Mac in Safari. Screen shot below:

With Acrobat Pro 11.0.06 I have send more 188 files for shared review with deadline in June.
After the update (automatically in May) to 11.0.07 Monday June, 2 became a cold shower to me:
    1) to start a new Acrobat.com-based shared review was not possible anymore
    2) tracking of my 188 reviews was not possible anymore, "no active reviews" = empty tracking list !!
My temporary solution: uninstall 11.0.07 and reinstall 11.0.00 with NO automatic updating: stop updating at version 11.0.06.
Result: the tracking list is filled with all items.
Earlier this year Adobe announced end of life of Acrobat.com-based shared reviews at the end of this year 2014.
My question to Adobe: how long is this type of shared review supported ?
My complete workflows are based on it.

  • No arrange option for Displays

I am using Keynote for presentations and want the presentation option on my laptop. When I have the laptop connected to the projector and go to OS X Display Preferences there is not an option to arrange the displays.
How do I disable the mirroring function?
    Dennis

    Dennis,
You have to do this via system preferences. Click on the Apple in the upper left corner of your screen. Select System Preferences. Then select Displays. If you have more than one display connected, you will have the option of clicking on a Mirror checkbox. If it is checked, you'll see the same thing on both laptops. If you uncheck it, you can display your notes, current slide, upcoming slide, etc. on your laptop, and your slides on the other screen.
    I hope this helps.

  • Missing Options for AppleTV in iTunes

After the upgrade, all went fine I thought, in iTunes when I select the AppleTV form the device menu, there are only tabs for Info and Photo's. It is missing all the ones for Movies, Podcasts, Music, etc. I tried several times to delete the device in iTunes and re add it but to no avail.
    Any ideas ?

Yes, turn on sync. Sync and streaming are now combined.
I just wrote this in another response:
I just figured out to no longer use steaming (I use to stream as well due to my LARGE iTunes library). Apple now has the streaming and sync combined. Under the new sync, iTunes only transfers what you tell it to, to the Apple TV, but we can still look through the iTunes library and stream content from it.
What I did was to go to iTunes preferences, remove the Apple TV, then get a new code from the Apple TV, and the new sync automatically comes on. You'll then note that on the first Apple TV tab in iTunes, you'll see the option whether or not to show only synced items. I have left this option off, so from the Apple TV, and shows/ music not synced can still be found... and streamed.
However, by this method, photos will no longer stream (but it's not a big deal for me as photos aren't that large).

  • I have osx 10.6.8 and have lost the side scroll bars on Safari.  When I go into System Preferences there is NOT an "always" option for displaying Scroll Bar.  How do I get it them to display again?

When using Safari the scroll bars no longer appear on the right hand side.  When I go into System Preferences the option to Always have the scroll bars displayed is NOT there.  How/Where do I go to get these to show all the time?

It SHOULD be under the General tab in System Preferences:
(Note that this is a Mavericks screenshot, but it should be there in Snow Leopard, too, if indeed you're still running 10.6.8 as your profile says)

  • Pages v5.5.2 - Missing Option for right-to-left languages (bi-directional) such as Arabic & Kurdish

Started using Pages as Windows for Mac does not support right-to-left languages (Kurdish, Arabic) effectively. BUT, sadly disappointed that Pages does not seem to support right-to-left (bi-directional) text either. I realise it gives you the option of aligning the text to the right-hand side but this is different from having the right-to-left option. Previous posts said it could be found under Format - Text and there should be the option 'Reverse Text Direction' (see related thread here) but in the version I have (v5.5.2) I can't see it.
Please can anyone help? I'm having to seriously think about going back to Windows as Apple doesn't provide sufficient support for right-to-left languages.

I've seen the notes you referred to before and so was looking for the 'arrows' button but it's not present in my version of Pages.
I think perhaps something is wrong with your machine.  See below a picture of mine.  Do you have the Arabic or some other RTL keyboard showing in the "flag" menu at the top right?

  • MSI P674 G43 - i7 2600 (Not K): Missing options for eoverclock

Hi people, good day to all.
I've decided go further with my rig and OC my CPU after had a sucessfully GPU OC (GTX580 SC even more OC to 860/2070/1088v)
    First my rig specifications:
-Mobo: MSI P67a G43 (BIOS up to date, i'm sure of that, i did it today)
-Corsair Vengance 4GB*2 1333 or 1600, not sure. Anyway.
    -Intel 2600 (Non K)
-Thermaltake Frio (Which actually does a great work, because my ambient temps are between 35 and 38 celcius degrees, and it keep my CPU at 38 on IDLE -when no OC'ed and 63 MAX when fully loaded playing games)
    -Normal HD
    Thats all the relevant.
Let me show you the options that i'm able to see in the BIOS:
1-General Bios Options under Overclocling Menu:
    2-CPU Features topic:
3-CPUZ summary: (By the time i took that screenshot, it had a overclock by multiplier to 42, following disabling and enabling things like: Disable:
    Limit CPUID Maximum
    Power Technology
    C1E Support
    OverSpeed Protection
    Spread Spectrum
    Enable:
    Internal PLL Overvoltage
    Execute Disable Bit
    Intel Virtualization Tech )
As you can see, no mather what i do, i always get 3.891as core speed. Intel Turbo boost gadget show me 3.9 when load, but still not getting 4.2 as it supposed to be.
I saw some people post and videos, someo of them managed to get this processor to 4.5Ghz, i dont wanna that now, just get 4.2 (as appears in the BIOS UEFI after set the core ratio to 42).
I see some of them options and they are able to modify the BLCK and raise it up to 100. One of those videos i saw show how raising it value a bit more the 2600(non K) get 4.5Ghz or so as you can see here: youtube.com/watch?v=lOyTpi-OoCI
Can any one give me a hand with this? Check CPUZ, never go upper x39.
    Thank you.

The only OC you can get with 2600 is by 'Turbo Boost' and that according to specs is "Max Turbo Frequency 3.8 GHz". I sure don't know where you got the idea you can OC non 'K' CPU but where ever or whoever you got that idea from is dead wrong. For sure you need a 'K' model CPU if you want more OC than 'Turbo' on the non 'K' CPU.
     Edit:  http://ark.intel.com/products/52213
I had a 2600K and ran it 24/7 for a while at 4.6 GHz but dropped to 4.3 GHz after a month or so at the higher speed.
I got the idea from such videos like this: youtube.com/watch?v=lOyTpi-OoCI and many other info i found in web about it.  And by the way, the max i got so far is 4.0, not 3.8, i know, it shound't be, but it does, and seems like i'm not the only one.
Here is a screenshot from my PC:
@Froggy Gremlin Thanks, man. Gotta give a try, but in the second picture i post, i'm inside CPU features and Core ratio limits doesn't appear.

  • Lost display resolution options when installing 10.4.6 with 20" monitor

I recently installed an upgrade using black retail DVD 10.4.6 from 10.2.8, and now i only have one option for display resolution (256 colors). The screen is gray??? I can restart using 9.2 Classic and the screen display is just fine (thousands & millions of colors). I did the disk utility and permission fix prior to and before installation. I also updated the firmware. I tried to download 10.4.8 combo update, but the license agreement can't be 'agreed to' because the button will not appear on the low resolution screen. Do i have to initialize the whole disk? The Monitor is a 20" Display (the large blue monster). Since it was working with 10.2.8 and still works under 9.2 Classic reboot, i doubt whether its a hardware problem.. Any ideas?

I wonder if it could be the Voodoo5 Dfx video card that's bn not compatible with 10.4.8?? It workds with 10.2.

  • Why is Best for Display setting in new iMac with Retina 5K Display only 2560 x 1440?

I just saw the new iMac with 5K Retina Display. It's awesome! I do have one question, though: The default (Best for Display) resolution is 2560 x 1440. That is the same as my current LED Cinema Display. Adjusting the scale in the System Preferences/Display settings maxes out at 3200 x1800, not 5120 x 2880. I'm not sure why the highest scale option isn't the full resolution of the display. Can anyone explain this or direct me to an article that does?

That got my curiosity too. It's something about the retinas pixel density per inch being higher than other displays, such as a Cinema HD.
The "Best (Retina)" option says "Looks like 2560 x 1440" when you roll over it, but the real pixel density is actually doubled I think, so 5120 x 2880.
The "Looks like..." phrase seems to refer to the size of elements on the screen rather than actual pixels. Perhaps that's what some folks call virtual pixels.

  • Display Resolution and iPhoto (MBA, Mavericks, iPhoto 9.5.1, etc.)

I get an error message saying the resolution is not optimal for iPhoto when I select the bottom option (1024 x 640), but the other two options are so small as to be a strain on the eyes.  The bottom control bar is not accessible at that resolution, unless I hit the full screen arrows at the top right.
The "Best for Display" resolution setting is even worse than scaling.  Fairly puzzled what to do.
    Thanks,
    Steve

Thanks for the response, but it seems unlikely, since my last computer, a 2006 Powerbook G4, had great iPhoto resolution when the display was set at 1024 x 768.
    Any other ideas?

  • Presario C554TU Notebook running XP - display resolution

ive got a Presario C554TU Notebook running XP, it came with vista originally but was running really badly, so a friend put on a XP copy and it runs great now.
Ive tried hooking the laptop to our tv, but cant get the laptop screen to fit into the tv as i only have 2 resolution options on the laptop. I was told to install the Intel 945GM video driver, but it wont install.
In my device manager ive got Mobile Intel(R) 945GM/GU Express Chipset Family with the yellow question mark next to it.
Anyone have any ideas how i can get this driver or more options for my resolution?
    thanks

    Hi:
First I would install the chipset driver from Intel and reboot
    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=2300&DwnldID=19597&ProductFamily=Chips...
Then try the Intel graphics driver for your notebook:
