I have to restore my ipod because it will not get past the apple loading screan and when turned off it turns back on imediately and goes to the apple loading screan

My computers hard drive is full but I need to back up my iPhone. What is the best way to do that, saving all the pictures, music, and app information in an easily access able location?

So apple requests that you back up your device before taking it in plus it's time to secure my photos and such so that I can have them in case my phone gives out. However, the hard drive on my computer is full and it does not have room to take all my photos through iPhoto and other things on my phone that I want backed up. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to where I should back it up. I have the standard 5 gb of iCloud but my pictures alone at more than 5 gb. Is it worth buying extra iCloud space or should I get an external drive for my computer? How would that work when transferring from my phone to the external drive and not storing it on my computer...

Try resetting the iPOd. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

What happened to my music and apps after upgrade?

I did the upgrade that was on itunes two days ago. After the upgrade, it basically made my ipod touch into a new one and I had no music or apps. SO, I tried to restore everything. That didn't work either. I upgraded again.....Then I sync'ed everything again. I watched it sync and it showed all of my music and apps being sync'ed. After it was done, I got back on the ipod and I have NO MUSIC. It shows the icons for my apps but when I try to open them, there is nothing there. I was able to get facebook open once and when I did, I could barely even scroll through the page. I can not even open my settings tab. Anyone have any suggestions? My warrently is expired. Tried to call for some help but they pretty much told me to sync it again. Any other help was going to cost me $29. Thanks!

- Transfer iTunes purchases to the computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
- Transfer any other music by using a third-party program like one of those discussed here:
Copy music
- Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup. The restore will also update the iOS.
Note that the backup that iTunes makes does not include synced media like apps and music
Are you sure you have a 3G iPod? A 1G iPod can only go to iOS 3.1.3

If you didn't establish a rescue email address, you will need to call applecare support. Ask for account security to reset your security questions. After the advisor is able to verify your identity, they can reset your security questions.

If you want to use multiple devices - move to imap, I would even say "exchange", but Google does not support free exchange anymore, since January of that year. So Ironically Icloud or Hotmail would be my choices right now.

You should have been storing everything on your computer and regularly backing up your computer.
If you failed to do that, then you may be able to get your pics from photo stream

My iTunes account says error 13019 after it has recognized all of the music and I have tried everything that is on this website and everything i can find about how to fix it; I even created in under a new administrator. Any suggestions how to fix it?

An unknown error has occured (13019)" after it has recognized all of the music and has went through every song and it said "Copying (song) to "Madison"....." and then after it has went through all of my songs (492) it says the error message. Put the ipod touch in recovery mode and then restored it, setting it up as a new Ipod, rather than restoring from the backup. Given how much trouble I'd had, I suspected that the backup might be corrupted anyway.
That seems to have resolved everything completely.

You can use one Apple ID for purchasing (App Store & iTunes Store) and shared with your child whereas your child uses a different Apple ID for Game Center, e-mail, FaceTime, iMessage. Even on iCloud there you'll get an extra 5GB free.

You can set up more than one device on your computer, and iTunes will remember the settings for each of them:

But you'll have to use your Apple ID to sync bought media to her device. Disable all other things you don't want to sync like photos, contacts, etc.

Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.
