My itunes account doesn't list "devices" above the playlist, as the syncing instructions give. How can I sync the itunes I have purchased & downloaded to my computer, to my ipod shuffle? The device is plugged into my computer, but nothing happens. Shouldn't the computer recognize the device? It doesn't. Please help!
As a test, shut down your computer and disconnect ALL USB devices. Do this procedure to Reset the shuffle

Start up computer with nothing connected, except for standard keyboard and mouse (if it's not a laptop). Run iTunes. Connect shuffle to a direct USB port on the computer. See if there's any improvement,
If the shuffle is now recognized, there may have been a USB device conflict previously, or maybe all of the devices connected at the same time overloads the USB bus (for power). An iPod charges its battery while connected, so it is a high-power USB device. -
i can't get my cd burner to read any blank cds so i can burn them.It will read a prerecored disc trnasfer it to the library but it will not burn a new disc

The icons wiggle and show the x but they will not delete when I press the X. Also the home button will not cancel the action.
Try doing a hard reset: Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/wake button simultaneously for about 15 seconds and release when the Apple logo appears.
After this, try again to delete the app.
If that doesn't solve the issue, you could also try backing up the device and restoring the device as new.
In that case, follow the steps in: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
NB: set up as a NEW device because a software issue will be in the backup. If the issue persists after restoring as new, you should offer the device for service.

Using his article will erase everything on the device, so make sure you have a backup!

6 GB iPod Mini discharges when plugged into Mac Mini via USB 2.0 hub
I have a 6 GB iPod Mini and when i connect it to my computer, instead of charging, it discharges. The iPod is connected to a self powered USB 2.0 hub. Does anybody have any ideas of what to do. I need a hub because the Mac Mini only has 2 USB ports and the keyboard and mouse don't work through the hub (well the keyboard it self does but the hub doesn't which the Mighty Mouse is plugged into)
ThanksWhen i say self powered i mean that it has an external power supply (my hub it has two lights, when it is connected to USB and has p\s connected and plugged in a light lights up that has the word "Self" next to it, when it is connected just to USB it has a light that lights up with the word "Bus" next to it.) I am sorry if i confused you (or if i confused myself). About the firewire thing, i am planning to get the next normal iPod Apple releases but the current ones dont support firewire so the new one probably wont either, so i will be in the same boat as i am now when i get a new one.

I have some issue with my 2012 Macbook Pro Retina. The screen intermittently decides to just not work. Sometimes on startup i hear the start up noise but the screen doesn't turn on. I am able to remote into the computer when the screen doesn't work. I can't seem to find any rhyme or reason as to when it works and when it doesn't. I've reset the PRAM and SMC sometimes that will bring the screen back sometimes not.
Any ideas?You can try the Apple Hardware test, not definitive by any means, especially intermittent problems, but it is a start.

Cannot set up Email account I once had and lost. Will not accept password(s) have account through gmail, but cannot use.
It may be worth going directly to the gmail site: www.gmail.com can you login using what you believe to be your credentials? If not then it's likely to be an issue with the info you are using. Also if you haven't used the account for a while it may have gone in to a suspended state, and logging back in will reactivate it. If you do manage to login ok, then try setting up the account on iPad again.

Place it in recovery mode by:
Placing your device into recovery mode

I am trying to use the latest tutorial about Perpective Warp. I have done the most recent download update today but when I go to edit, the Perspective Warp option is grayed out.
Photoshop grays thing out when some condition does not allow it to be use. The condition could be related to the current state of the active document, or related to hardware and software. Like Perspective Warp requires a GPU and may also require some amount of VRAM. Photoshop CC requirements state Video Adapter with GPU and at least 512MB VRAM. Check you Photoshop Preferences.
Photoshop menu Edit>Preferences>Performance GPU must be seen and enabled.
