Table footer printed in next page without upper border line

Hi Experts
I am faceing a problem regarding printing of smartform. I have 2 tables under one LOOP control, TABLE2 and TABLE1 respectivelity. TABLE2 display the Header data and TABLE1 displays the Item data under Main window.
TABLE2 has no ROWs under table Footer section. TABLE1 has footer and I want to print the TABLE1 footer according to the page size, for that I have added a Folder under TABLE1 footer section and then create the line type under that Footer, also check the Page Protection check box. I manage to print the Footer in next page according to the page size but when the Footer goes to next page for printing the upper line border of Footer section is not dislayed.
Please give some tips or example, how to manage the Footer at print time.

Yes your problem is common because of two different line types while you are selecting the pattren the
pattern is assuming that the pattern is selected for the entire two line types.
solutions are
1). Use same line type for both footer and item
2). create a window with a template and copy the same for both the pages and put a check box
in the conditons of your window as only after end of main window.
3). Create windows with the lines you required with the postions(but not advisible because page numbers or line items lenghts are dynamic) .

Header window tiotle not printing on next page

Hi !
I have aa form in which I have a header table created inside the main window to print the titles of the line items, unit , unti price , Qty and totals. The next page has the similar format with the headerr table inside the main window, but unfortunately the header titles from the header title prints on the first page and when there are more items and the items are carried over to next page the titles dosent print on next page. Could nayone please tell me why the titles wouldnt be printing on the next page when the format is the same on teh next page also and it does have the texts to print there . Only the items are printing and not its titles.

Thanks for your reply. We are anyways getting the header in the first page its that I am not getting the header titles on second page and folowing pages only. I do have a next page in my smartforms and as per teh design both the pages has the header wondow but still it dosent print on second page but prints on first page. What I ahve done is created an extra window on my next page and created temp[late under that with the header titles and this prints it oin the second page now.

kindly suggest me how to print remaining lines on next subsquent page not fooetr only but with whole page content....

Your problem is when 10 items are there 3 should print in the first page and remaining 7 items should print in the next page provided footers should display in their respective pages in the bottom.
If your requirement is correct as i specified above,
i like to know whether you have given the footer as a part of the main window or created a seperate window for the footer?
If you have created as part of your main window, can you please try it creating with a seperate window for the footer.

Problem with the table that goes on next page

Hi all,
In my template there is a table that stores detail information. The table property is set to display in box format meaning only the border and not grid. Also I have used <?if:position() mod 10 =0?><xsl:attribute name="break-before">page</xsl:attribute> to display only 10 rows per page. now if there are say 15 rows for detail then the remaining 5 lines are correctly printed in next page, but the table in first page is not displayed in box format.
If needed I can provide you with the xml and template.

Try printing the page as PDF.
From your Safari menu bar click File > Print > Save As PDF then print the PDF file.
If you don't want to do it that way, reset the print system.

Carry over formatting to the next page without adding a text box

I've written 15 books on the old pages and had no trouble carrying the formatting to the next page without adding a page or adding a text box to the added page. I just kept on typing. I've added the new pages and had trouble right from the start so I went back to the old and got a good start, but going through that added procedure on every new page gets old in a hurry.
It shows the number of pages at the bottom, but a new page doesn't come on automatically when I type.

Setup (gear icon far right of toolbar) > check Document Body
and the text will flow from page to page.

I want the same data to be copied to the Next page which is coming on first page. I copied the Main window to Next page with all the details but the Header of the Table is not printing on the Next(Second) page.

If you are talking about the table (which you created in the main window) and you want the header of the table to be printed on the next page. Is it because of overflowing that's why its printed to the next page?
If yes, the header cannot be printout out.
Just for your information. If you want a window in the first page to be copied to all subsequence pages, set the window type to be copies window.

Table footer issue in body page of adobe form

Form has 1 master page and 1 body page. Body page has table within which there is a footer header and detail (2 footers) in the form. My intention is to make footer (both the footers) appear in the last page of the form. For most of the scenarios, footer is displayed at the last page or if it has only 1 page to display, it shows in the first page itself.
But issue arises when number of rows reaches the maximum length of body page. Let's say, body page can accommodate 11 rows, then footer header is displayed in 1st page but footer detail is shown in next page (2nd page). I want to show both of these in the last page with 11th record in the last page without any break.
I've tried below options:
1. Group both footers as a section and check "Include footer row in final page" in pagination tab.
2. Mark both the footers individually with check "Include footer row in final page" in pagination tab.
Is there any other option that I need to look for to solve this issue?

I've one more question relating to this. Let's say I can only display 11 records in one page with these 2 footer. For 12 records, 2nd page shows last record with these 2 footers. 10 records will be displayed in one page properly. But when it comes to 11 records, 1st page shows all of 11 records and 2 footers with a page header will be shown in 2nd page. Is there a way to control this dynamically so that whenever 11th record needs to be shown, even though body page(or subform) can accommodate 11 records, show the 11th in 2nd page with footers?

i have one page called page1

->loop1 itab into itab. where adrnar = itab1-adrnar.
->loop2 itab2 into itab2. where QMNUM = itab1-QMNUM.
->command - next page to page1 .
while printing it prints 6 documents in 7 pages.
pages no 7 or last page contain page no and rported name but
main window is blank.
i need to print one document in one page second in next page and i wand cancel last page because it blank in main window area.

Smartform Error: Items not printed on next page

Hi everyone,
I am currently working on a Smartform for printing an Invoice. The problem is as follows:
I have a First page and a Next Page. There is a Summary in the footer.
If the items fit on the First page, then there is no problem. If there is space then the Summary is printed on the same page, if there is little space, then the Summary goes on to the Next page (Page Protection is applied).
The problem arise when the items do no fit on the First Page. In this case, I get a weird error saying "Unexpected Error" and some Message 003. I can't understand what the problem is!
I have various attachment pages as well and they are printed properly.
Please help me crack this error at your own leisure!

there might be syntax error. Try to get what exaclty is an error using following code.
CALL FUNCTION <smartform>
    EXCEPTIONS
    IF SY-SUBRC 0.
       CALL FUNCTION 'SSF_READ_ERRORS'
            IMPORTING
                 ERRORTAB = IT_ERRORLIST.
     ENDIF.
In IT_ERRORLIST you will get error message.

Invoice Footer printing on every page of invoice instead of first page only

Hi,
I am working on an AR invoice report. I have a RTF template (template is 1 page only) and the output is PDF. The invoice has invoice header ( bill to , pay to ) and invoice line details. On the bottom of the first page of every invoice , I need to show the "customer address" and other details such as "total amt , customer no etc".. If the invoice line details overflow , only that information should be printed on the next page..
Right now , I have put the portion which needs to be displayed only on the first page in the "footer" section of the RTF. Due to footer , it gets repeated on every page of invoice..
I tried to get the current page number(<fo:page-number>) and compare it to 1 , but somehow its giving me syntax eorror...
Can someone please provide me directions on how to do this.. I can send the template and XML data if needed...

SMARTOFMRS - If Table get extended to next page!!!

Hi Experts,
Am working with SMARTFORMS.
I hv a situation in which, my_window shuld trigger, only if the table(entries) r extended to next page.
I can put a condition for triggering of my_window, like, SFSY-PAGE > 1, but, this idea wuld NOT work in my case/scenario.
So,
Is there any other idea, to let the system/SAP to get know that, the table(entries) r extended to next page(so, that I can keep a flag condition, by using that idea)?
I mean, other than SFSY-PAGE concept!

You can try SFSY-PAGEBREAK.
If sfsy-pagebreak = 'X' that means there is a page break.Next page is available.
if sfsy-pagebreak = 'X' print the window.

Text field in table not overflowing onto next page!

Hi,
I have set up a table with a text field in the first row, added buttons to add and delete rows, set to allow page breaks and made the text field to expand to fit and allow multiple lines. The problem I am having is that if I put a lot of text into the text field it will not expand on to the next page so not all of the text is visible. If I just set up a 1 row table the expansion works as I would expect and takes up as many pages as needed. Somewhere along the line the add, remove buttons or their associated javascript or the Repeat Row option seems to be having an effect.

Basically you can tell the bodypage to overflow to the second masterpage when it runs out of space.
On the bodypage properties that's done within the pagination tab.
Make sure that you enable the "Allow page breaks in contents" tickbox.
By the way, just wondering, how did you save the form as dynamic, since dynamic is only enabled in the SAP world by setting a dynamic/enabled flag.
If you are testing outside of sap in the LiveCycle designer you might want to close the file and then reopen it, after you saved it as dynamic. There's a nifty setting in the LiveCycle designer properties which enables you to create dynamic pages by default. It's in the LiveCycle Designer Options.

SAPscript MAIN Window ITEM TEXT Printing in NEXT PAGE

Hi,
I need to print the Item Text (Item Description or Column Description) if the Item Values (Lines) goes to the NEXT page in the Form. I have TEXT ELEMENTS defined for ITEM TEXT and ITEM VALUES in the MAIN Window. There is no issue with Printing the Item Text and Item Values in the FIRST Page. But in the NEXT page only when the Item values are printed (Item lines in excess of FIRST page), ITEM TEXT needs to be printed before printing the ITEM VALUES. If the FROM goes to NEXT page but not the Item values, then ITEM TEXT need not be printed in the NEXT page. The number of lines in the MAIN Window is different for both pages (FIRST & NEXT). I am not sure how to get this done. So, please provide me with a suitable solution to get this done. Appreciate your help in advance.

Thanks for your reply. Printing item lines between PROTECT / ENDPROTECT, will lead to Print all the line item together in one page. That is not I wanted. It the line items flows to NEXT page, I need to print the Item Header/Item Text. Otherwise, NEXT page should not have the Item Header.

AP Checks - Some print on next page

Some of the Payables checks are printing on the top of the next page. Most all the checks in the batch are ok, but it seems to be random that some checks print on the next page. I do not believe it is my template since most of the checks print fine. Is there a bug that anyone knows about with invoices? We've tested and believe that certain invoices cause this issue. Any ideas? Thanks!

I had this problem when the number of invoices listed on the page was too large.
I had to reduce the value of "NUMBER OF INVOICES" that is set under the AP MANAGER responsibility. After I selected this responsibility, I navigated to SETUP -> PAYMENT -> FORMATS. The I queried using the format payments value and reduced the value for "NUMBER OF INVOICES". I had to rerun the payment batch so it created new XML. The new XML only has 10 invoices for each check, but some of the checks are VOID, since there are more invoices on the next page. The last page actually has the live check.
