Table name for material master change

What is the table name for material master change, so that I can get the old values and new values at plant level.
More specific:
I want to check the old values for Re order point and Safety stock in MRP1 and MRP2 fields in material master for many materials. Please help.

Use CDPOS and CDHDR table to get the values which were changed.
CDPOS>use fields Change doc. object give in as MATERIAL and in the Table name>MARC

Hi Guys,
Actually I have a problem in finding the table name for material characteristic against production order such as Individual length, factor, color, etc. I really spend more than a day to find this. But I cudn't make it. Finally I found the flow some how, but is working only for few cases. Here is the flow.
AFKO(RSNUM) --> RESB(OBJNR) --> INOB(CUOBJ) --> AUSP(OBJEK).
T-code: CO02 / Fast Entry tab / Change Configuration(Item Level) / Change Characteristic values.
Anybody knows about this. Please help me out on this. And please note that, it is not the material characteristic from MM01, it is against production order from CO02.

Hi Yasin,
The best way to know Table Names in SAP is to use a Transaction Code Called : SQL Trace. Tcode : ST05. This will tell you about all the database tables that have been accessed while the Transaction was executed. And then you do a complete analysis of it, what are all the Tables that have been accessed, the fields and the data transfered. So, it's a complete trace of the SQL Query but you can use the information as needed.

MM17, LSMW, MM50 --- These are the 3 main transactions which is used frequently to Mass change the Material master.
There is one more option is there using BDC Upload.
Batch Data Communication or BDC is a batch interfacing technique that SAP developed. It is mainly used for uploading data into the SAP R/3 system. BDC works by simulating the user input from transactional screen via an ABAP program.
The data input data file will come in the form of a flat file which the user save as file type txt file or prn file from the Microsoft Excel program. An Abaper will create a program to read the text file and upload into the SAP system.
Transaction -- SHDB will be used to record the change material master. After, the simulation, the Abaper can generate a sample program and modify from there. It makes the programming easier and faster.
For a BDC upload you need to write a program which created BDC sessions.

Try this option you can get the change details clearly
Go to XD03 transaction enter your customer number and other details then go in to the general data from here you to Menu>Environment>Account changes-->Click on All fields now system will give the list of fields which were changed from these list you double click on the single field system will take you to the details of that again you double click on that now system will take you to more details about the changes.

Problem in BDC for Material master Change

I have made a BDC to change the material master, I have done the recording with SHDB   I want to do changes in Sales data and MRP data, when I do the recording I have selected views and it was 4 , 11 AND 12 VIEW IN select vie option    but in some material Classifcation view is maitain and it is coming at 2nd position and my selected views are shiftin by one position due to this BDC is giving error Screen contain no filed -
I sthere any way that I acn directly select the Three views as Sales data , MRP1 and MRP2,   because when we do the recording it is not showing the name it is showing as

Material master change report

I've been asked to created a program for material master changes that will run nightly and send an e-mail if any field on any material number has changed that day. I've checked into MM04 and MM44 but both run for a single material only. Is there any report that will run for all materials and give the change records? I'm trying to explore all options before writing a custom report.

Message Type for Material Master Data Changes

Hi all
I'm managing Message Types for Material Master Data extraction from R\3 system to BW system, in order to load on BW only the changes done to some fields of MARA table that are delta relevant.
Now from R/3 BD50 Transaction I can see that there is a message type that refer to changes done on MARA fields: RS0044.
I would like to replace this message type with another one (RS0020) in order to align different systems.
Now changes to material master data in R/3 system are recorder with both message types but only those with RS0044 message type are processed and loaded into BW system.
So I would like to know:
1. How is the message type related to the DataSource 0material?
2. is it possible to replace a message type for BW?
3. if yes, how can I do it?

At the moment I'm using Delta queue of 0MATERIAL. I know that in the queue there are all the new and changed records.
But I would like to be able not to load all the changed records, but only those that refer to some fields of MARA table.
E.g. if the gross weight of a material is modified I don't want to load this change on BW with Delta loading .
I've seen that from R/3 Transaction BD52 you can set only delta relevant fields referred to a specific message type and to delete the other fields.
As I'm able to do this directly in the Development system and Test System, I haven't got the authorization of doing it in the Production system.
That's why I need to include this setting in a CR and then ask to transport it from Test to Production system.
But message types referred to MARA field changes are different between the two systems.
And it seems they are automatically created.
Is it true?

Change logs for material master are cut

Hi,
I am having a problem with material master logs. I am not able to get the complete logs for the changes made on a partcular material. It is displaying the change log from today to 2006 but i want to check till 2001. As of now it is cutting it till 2006.
Where as in the quality system i am able to see the complete log but not in our production system.
The way to view material master changes is display any material and go to Enivornment menu and select display changes.

It is possible to archive change documents independent of the objects they belong to.
Usually you would archive a material master and at the same time all change logs get archived too with object MM_MATNR
But as already said. It is possible to archive change logs independtly with object CHANGEDOCU
so execute SARA, enter CHANGEDOCU and click the administration button. If you see archives that were recently created, then you can be sure that your logs got archved.

Which table could i find 'Authorization Group' used for Material master?

OR in SPRO, anywhere could i find 'Define authorization group' for material master data specific??

Authorization group in the material master are maintained at the material type level.
SPRO->IMG-> Logistics - General-> Material Master-> Basic Settings-> Material Types-> Define Attributes of Material Types
List of authorization roups can be found in table T134-Material Types
this filed is a free defined 4 charcter field.

Hi All.
I am changing the value of the material master characterstic assigned to class under the classification TAB of material master.
I want to extract the last chaged date of the characterstic value.
The material master change history ( Table CDHDR) is not reflecting the changes done to the characterstic value.
Can anybody please suggest me how can i extract the change history of the characterstic value of a given class for a given material.

If a field is changed in any transaction with a new values those changes are recorded in CDHDR and CDPOS tables with the field name, Transaction name and field old and new values, changed by and date etc
So you have to fetch the change data history from those tables passing the
OBJECT CLAS = MATERIAl and the Objectid = Material no and fetch the data from CDHDR first and then for all entries of CDHDR fetch the data from CDPOS and use the data and required fields
