Table relation between Output Type and Spool

Is there a way to determine the table's relation between an Output Type and a Spool table for a printout.

Output medium means , how you wants to see the output like
Printout, Fax, Mail, or EDI output etc
Output type/Condition Type means for every Application document an Output type is create for the Output Message determination, this is linked with the Condition records, Medium, Program and the Output Script or smartform.

Relation between message type and output type in ALE

I have a meeage type with me. I want to find the processing routine for the idoc. Procesing routine is acessed from NACE - application -output type ( as far as i know ). Now how do i know the output type for the message type. Are the output type and message type related ?

Hi,
U can see the output type for message type here WE20 ->outbound parameters -> message control
For invoice if mesage type is INVOIC and its output type is RD00 or ESYM or MAIL.
output type is four character code which describes characteristics of output itself

Link between output type and the email id in me22n ?

Hi,
Can anyone plz explain the link between the output type and the email id maintained in the address data in ME22n ?
The output type is configured fo rsending Email .Whenever i maintain the email id in the address data the outptu type gets triggered automatically but if I leave it as plank the output type does not get triggered.
Can any one explain this dependency?

Hi,
It depends on the output record that you have used, what is the key?
It is no different that printed POs where the Printer Id is not specified in the communications tab of the output record. If the systen can't find where to send the output to it will not generate the record.
If it did generate the record without the email address, what would you expect to happen? Where could it send it?
It is far better to get the warning message "unable to determine ......" that to simply save the PO without the email addrerss.
So I would simply see the warning message as an indication that the email address is missing and fill it in before saving.

Output Type and Spool!

Hi!
Any ideas, if there is any map between a Output type created under VF02 and a spool processed?
For Eg: If I create 3 Output types Z1, Z2 and Z3 and at background 3 Spools are created then how do we isolate what is the spool number for Z1, Z2 and Z3.
Any thoughts?

In our system, we can see the spool number while displaying the process log from VF02 transaction, in which we can see message number VN342 "Message output with spool request number &". I don't know if there is some customizing/some conditions to generate it or not.
Check in your system if you have this message in the log. If yes, then, to retrieve this spool number, follow these steps :
- Read all records from NAST table where KAPPL = "V3" and OBJKY = SD invoice number. Also apply a filter on the output type KSCHL
- Get record with latest timestamp (by DATVR and UHRVR fields)
- call function module CM_F_INITIALIZE_AND_LOAD with parameters APLID = "WFMC" and NUM = NAST-CMFPNR, which reads all messages for the invoice number and put them into memory
- call function module CM_F_MESSAGES_GET with parameter APLID = "WFMC", it returns messages from memory
- select message VN342, spool is in MSGV1

Table relation between Sales Organization and Profit centre

Hi everybody,
I hava a question:
How do I know wich Sales organitzation (VKORG) belongs to a Profit centre(PRCTR), which table relation do I need to do to find it, or from wich table do I get this relation because I haven't found anything.
I've been asked to get the Profit Centre given a Sales Organization.

Firstly get the Sales Order Number (VBELN) and Sales Organization(VKORG) from VBAK.
Now based on the the Sales Order Number (VBELN) get the Profit Center(PRCTR) from VBAP.
Now you can relate Sales Organization and Profit Center.

Link between Output Type and Language

Hi,
We have a custom SAP Script form (SAP 4.7). In TCode NACE this form is attached to 2 output types ERS and ERS2 (Invoice Verification forms).
When we execute TCode MR90 with output type ERS, the form is printed in English and when we execute TCode MR90 with output type as ERS2, the same form is printed in Japanese.
Where is this configured in SAP that with output type ERS the form should be printed in English and for output type ERS2 the same form is printed in Japanese?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Relation between movement type and Schedule Line Item Cat

I have a situation for Return Sales Order, there's two lines items with
*Item Cat                      Schedule Line Item Cat         Stock
REN(Normal)                 YN (Returns 657)                 Blocked
RENN (Free Goods)      DN (Returns)                        Return Stock
Question is, the user would like all the return stock to be posted to Block stock which should be using movement type 657. How can I configure this.

Assign Sched Line category YN to item category RENN using this path:
SPRO/IMG/Sales and Distribution/Sales/Schedule Lines/Assign Schedule Line Categories
Don't change movement type of standard Item cat DN.

Relation between msg type & Idoc type

i have a X msg type which is already assigned to Y idoc type.
can I assign the same X msg type to a new Z Idoc type.
If yes, what is the effect on the old assignment?
note: Y & Z have no relation at all. both of then are two different Idoc types.

it is a problem, If u assign a X message type to more than 1 message type, becuase message type is only identifier in the ALE or EDI configurations. Using this identifier u have to configure in the ALE or EDI.
This is one-to-one relation between Message type and Idoc type.

Extractor via FM, if relations between db records and output is not 1:1

I developed extractor via function module using SAP template FM RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE. But I need multiply cursor (db) records, it means relation between db records and extractor output is not 1:1. How do You solve this problem.

If you are saying your records fetched by cursor fetch are then to be processed such that there are multiple records to go to BW for each fetched ones, that is doable.
Fetch your records into a local internal table instead, do the processing and pass the resultant records to the tab that goes back to BW. You only need to make an adjustment to package_size that you specify to the cursor fetch statement. Instead of i_maxsize, pass a value which is divided by the multiplication factor (eg if you create 5 records out of 1 fetched rec, pass the size as a value = i_maxsize/5). If this is not fixed, give an approx so your final no of records are roughly close to the i_maxsize.

Before the 4.7 release in SAP if we want to define an internal table we have to write the defination using the occurs statement and we need to define all the fields using INCLUDE STRUCTURE or indidually all the fields ine by one.
From 4.7 release of R/3 SAP introduced the Line type concept and it's part of the ABAP OOPS concept. for internal table defination we don't need to use the occur statements. Instead INCLUDE structure we need to create a Line type for that structure in Se11 and then we can define the internal table like :
DATA : ITAB TYPE TABLE OF <LINE_TYPE>.
Only thing is this table will be a table without header. So for internal table processing we need to define a work area structure of type line of line type . EX:
DATA: WA_ITAB TYPE LINE OF <LINE_TYPE>.
