Tables not in Query Builder table list bug?

In HTML DB version 1.6.0.00.87 we have tables defined in our schema in our workspace. When we create a view and click on the [Query Builder] link, no tables are in the drop down list for our schema. Why? The schema is there. I can go into the SQL Workshop and query the records our of the tables, but they are not listed in the [Query Builder].
I tried this same function but with my workspace at htmldb.oracle.com. The tables in my schema are listed there.
Is this a bug that was fixed in version 1.6.1.00.02?

There is one schema assigned to the workspace. That schema is listed in the pop-up window. Here are the steps I am doing:
1.) Click on SQL Workshop
2.) Click on Create Object
3.) Click on View
4.) The correct schema is listed in the Schema field. There is only one schema in the drop-down list for the Schema field.
5.) Click on [Query Builder]. A separate browser window appears with the correct schema. There is only one value in the drop-down list for the schema. "- Select Table -" is in the TABLE field.
6.) I click on the TABLE field to get a list of tables for the schema. Only "- Select Table -" is listed. No other tables are listed.
I can cancel the Create View and return to the main page of the SQL Workshop. I can click on Tables to see what table are available. I select the correct SCHEMA and see the list of tables.
I tried this in the same version of HTML DB (v 1.6.0.00.87) in a different database ie. a different HTML DB repository and received the same results, missing tables in the pop-up page
I do not know why the tables do not list in the [Query Builder] for the Create View.

    Thank you!!! I had the same problem and this (table.xml) has helped, I can now see the tables in the left.
    I'm also not able to see any tables in the "Query Builder". I have tried to explore to see if the fix is similar with no luck. Does the Query Builder have a simlar fix?
    Thanks!!!

    Max,
    I branched this query to start a new thread. While the thread: Some Tables are missing did help you see your tables, much of the discussion happened last year and was not about the query builder.
    In the query builder for the current 1.1.2 build, you can only see tables you own. In the next update, you'll also be able to see tables you have select access to.

  • Query Builder - Tables not Appearing

    Hi, I am encountering a problem when trying to use Query Builder.
    If I have a table that is joined to by more than one other object and wish to drag TWO instances of this table into Query Builder, it will not allow it to happen. It doesn't give any error message, just at the end of the drag operation, nothing appears.
    I've now tried it with a blank canvas and just tried to drag two instances of any table there. It will just not allow the second one to appear.
    I am using SQLDeveloper in the following environmeny
    OS Name Windows XP (version 5.1)
    java version 1.5.0_05
    java.vm.version 1.5.0_05-b05
    SQLDeveloper version 1.1.2.25
    and am connecting to a local version of Oracle Database XE.
    Am I doing something wrong or is this a known problem?
    Chloe

    Thanks. I've requested it as a missing feature, but it seems odd that this functionality is not already there. Using the ubiquitous EMPLOYEE table that all good examples seem to use, you would not even be able to join this table to itself to get the details of managers of employees.
    That's why I wondered if it was a bug on my laptop first.
    I have taken your advice and created views of the tables I need to have multiple joins to as a workround for now, but I may end up with multiple views of the same table which could get unwieldy.
    Thanks again though. :-)

  • SQL Developer 1.1.0.21.97 Query Builder Table Name List Unsorted

    The Query Builder list of table names is unsorted. Should it be alphabetical?

    We have a number of outstanding issue for the Query Builder. These will not be updated for the next evaluation release. I agree, alphabetical would be a better approach.

  • Synonym (to table) visibility in Query Builder?

    Hello,
    I have a schema that contains a table or two, and a bunch of synonyms to other tables in other schemas. In my current Query Builder (1.1.3 MAIN-27.69), I don't see the tables represented by the synonyms -- other available tools show the tables in their visual query builder, so I'm wondering if there is some function to enable this in Oracle's SQL Developer?
    Update: to be more specific, the other tool being evaluated (freeware) is QueryReporter, and its visual query builder includes synonym-table links. I'm trying to steer the staff to SQL Developer, but this is a pretty heavily used capability in QR
    I apologize if this has been asked before, I searched the Forum but found no hits.

    No, we do not support synonyms in the query builder, but you can switch users in the drop list on the top left hand corner.
    We have a bug logged for this.

  • Query Builder Table Limit

    What is the limit on the number of tables that Query Builder can display? I am new to BI Publisher and when I connect to my datasource and select my schema I get the message "The list of tables is too long." There are about 80 tables in the selected schema.
    We will have some developers working on our project who are not familiar with this applications schemas and would like to know what the limit is so we can understand how big a problem it will be for us and whether we should use something other than Query Builder to write our queries.
    Thanks.

    Hi
    I get the same message.I connected to the Apps database and the connection was successful.
    I would retrieve tables from schema which has 60 tables in it.For others even when I enter the first few letters in the serach entry field they cannot be retrived.
    I installed the BI Publisher 10.1.3.3.2 for Windows x86 (703 MB) on my local machine and I'm using http://wal1cd231.cis.concentra.corp:9704/xmlpserver/
    to login into BI publisher enterprise using the administrator credentials provided when installed.
    Any solution???

  • How do you select data from tables not in the Properties table list?

    Hi I am new to SAP B1.
    I am amending the production order and wish to add fields from the Bill of Materials table Itt1.  However this table is not in the list of tables for this report.
    1. Do I have to redo the whole report in Crystal or is there a way of using the PLD report?
    2. This table join needs to have 2 fields in the join the father and the child item codes.  How many joins can the PLD report look after?  I assume that Relate to is the first join and next segment is a second join.  Am I right or not as I have been unable to find any reasonable documentation on creating and maintaining PLD reports.
    3. Where can I find information if any on System Variables and what data they represent?
    Thanks
    Chris

    Hi Cris,
    welcome to Sdn forum!
    For question 1, i think you can do this using pld.
    For question 2, to be able to view other tables, you will need to hold the ALT button and press the database table(Properties section on the lower right portion of the PLD screen), you can now view other tables. then to join other tables you will need to RELATE to and Next Segment, you can also find this under Properties and go to Content Tab.
    for question 3, you will need to create a query that will lead you to the exact field name, say for example SELECT Price from POR1, this price is actually variable 81 from purchase order line and the equivalent value is the por1.price..

  • Query builder: tables from Database Link

    Hi APEX people,
    Is there a way to use tables from a (remote) Database Link in the Query Builder?
    In the Query Builder I seem to have only access to locally (schema) stored tables.
    I already tried to define a Synonym for the remote tables I wanted to use, but that didn't work either.
    Thanks in advance.
    Maurice

    Hi,
    First of all, can you select from them ie
    SELECT  *
    FROM my_table@my_linkAlso you can't see them as tables in the schema because they're not tables in the schema.
    Try creating a view like...
    CREATE OR REPLACE FORCE VIEW m_table_vw AS
    SELECT *
    FROM my_table@my_link;You should be able to see the view in the schema in the query builder and use that.
    Cheers

  • Not In Query on select List

    Apex 4.2
    Two Tables
    SITES
      Site_id (pk)
      Site_name
      Date
    ACTIVATION
       Activation_id (pk)
       Activation_date
       Deactivation_date
       Site_id (fk)
    * I have a report based on the ACTIVATION table. Upon clicking an edit link on any row of the report, it takes you to a form to edit the information. The form allows you to edit the Site_id. The Site_id is represented as a select list with the following LOV query:
    SELECT SITE_NAME, SITE_ID
    FROM SITES
    * This select list gives me all of the site_names, however, I want to filter this select list by only showing those sites that are not in the report. All of the site names are as follows:
    Maryland
    Los Angeles
    Natchez
    Bakersfield
    Austin
    The report has rows:
    Activation ID     Site Name              Activation Date     Deactivation Date
      1                         Natchez                    3/11/2013
      2                         Los Angeles               5/27/2020
    I would like for the list to only display the ones that are not in the report, i.e. Austin, Bakersfield, Maryland.
    I have tried to write a NOT IN query. When I click an edit link from the report to navigate to the form, the select list shows the list of entries that I desire, however, the row that I clicked shows the id of the Site Name instead of the actual name. I'm not sure where my error is. I hope all this makes sense. Thanks for your help in advance. Oh, and my query that I wrote is as follows:
    SELECT SITE_NAME, SITE_ID
    FROM SITES
    WHERE SITE_ID NOT IN (SELECT SITE_ID
    FROM ACTIVATION
    WHERE this = that)

    Hi,
    This is because the query is excluding the current site you are trying to modify since it is actually in the report.
    You can include in your query:
    or site_id = :Pxx_SITE_ID
    Where Pxx_SITE_ID is the item holding the site_id value and xx is your page number.
    Thank you,
    Erick

  • How do I loop through tables, not columns in a table?

    Sorry if this is a long one. My problem is actually quite simple. I am trying to write either an ad hoc PL/SQL block or a stored procedure to loop 18 times (thru 18 tables) and perform a SQL query on those tables, returning 18 resultsets. I would like the results to show up on the screen (or in a spool file, whatever).
    So far I have tried 3 different approaches, none of which have worked.
    1. I tried to assign the select query to a variable (qry) and use EXECUTE IMMEDIATE qry. This forced me thru a variety of errors to declare variables and assign the result to them--EXECUTE IMMEDIATE qry into nm0, nm1, nm2...
    The problem with that was the resultset returned more than the variable was built for as there might be no rows returned, or it might be a thousand rows of data. So I tried changing the variables to VARRAYS, but it gave me a type mismatch as the underlying columns were NUMBER and VARCHAR2.
    DECLARE
         ctr number;
         TYPE NUMLIST IS VARRAY (1000) OF NUMBER;
         TYPE VARLIST IS VARRAY (1000) OF VARCHAR2(15);
         nm0 NUMLIST NOT NULL DEFAULT 1;
         nm1 VARLIST;
         nm2 NUMLIST NOT NULL DEFAULT 1;
         nm3 VARLIST;
         nm17 NUMLIST NOT NULL DEFAULT 1;
         qry VARCHAR2(2000) := 'klx_uln_p000_cells';
    BEGIN
    FOR ctr IN 1..17 LOOP
         IF ctr < 10 THEN
              qry := 'SELECT
              A.DIM_0_INDEX,
              S0.SYM_NAME,
              A.DIM_1_INDEX,
              S1.SYM_NAME,
              A.DIM_2_INDEX,
              S2.SYM_NAME,
              A.DIM_3_INDEX,
              S3.SYM_NAME,
              A.NUMERIC_VALUE,
              B.NUMERIC_VALUE
              FROM
              KHALIX.klx_uln_p00'||ctr||'_cells A,
              KHALIX.klx_ucn_p00'||ctr||'_cells B,
              KHALIX.KLX_MASTER_SYMBOL S0,
              KHALIX.KLX_MASTER_SYMBOL S1,
              KHALIX.KLX_MASTER_SYMBOL S7
              WHERE
              A.DIM_0_INDEX=B.DIM_0_INDEX AND
              A.DIM_1_INDEX=B.DIM_1_INDEX AND...
              A.DIM_7_INDEX=S7.SYM_INDEX';
         ELSE
              qry := 'SELECT
              A.DIM_0_INDEX...
              A.DIM_7_INDEX=S7.SYM_INDEX';
         END IF;
         BEGIN
         dbms_output.put_line('SELECT FOR KLX_ULN_P00'||ctr||'_CELLS');
         dbms_output.put_line(nm16);
         dbms_output.put_line(nm17);
         EXECUTE IMMEDIATE qry into nm0,nm1,nm2,nm3,nm4,nm5,nm6,nm7,nm8,nm9,nm10,nm11,nm12,nm13,nm14,nm15,nm16,nm17;
    --     dbms_output.put_line(qry);
         dbms_output.put_line(nm16);
         dbms_output.put_line(nm17);
         EXCEPTION
              WHEN NO_DATA_FOUND THEN
                   dbms_output.put_line('No data found for Query '||ctr);
         END;
    END LOOP;
    EXCEPTION
         WHEN NO_DATA_FOUND THEN
              dbms_output.put_line('No data found for Query '||ctr);
    END;
    2. So then I used REF CURSOR to create a stored procedure and return the values. That allowed me to run my query AND tokenize the tablenames with a counter so that it would loop through the different tables! However, I still could not get it to display the results without going to SQL Plus and typing 'print c;'.
    3. So, finally I tried to create a looping wrapper around the ref cursor to have some variable (ctr) increment so my query would get performed on table0_cells through table17_cells. This, too, did not work.
    If I manually go to SQL Plus and type:
    variable ctr number
    begin
    :ctr := 1;
    end;
    exec dupe_find(1,:c);
    it will execute for the first table (klx_uln_p001_cells) and I can then type 'print c' to see what was returned. But when I try putting this within a wrapper PL/SQL block with a Loop to make ctr go from 0 - 17 (to loop through table_names klx_uln_p000_cells to klx_uln_p017_cells), it does not work.
    Help! It should be very simple to loop through tables, shouldn't it? I just want a script that will loop through tables, perform a query on each table and display the results. For some reason, I can only find documentation examples on looping through columns that are all in the same table.
    Dave

    Here's a working example using your first strategy ...
    create table t1 (id number);
    create table t2 (id number);
    insert into t1 values (100);
    insert into t1 values (101);
    insert into t2 values (200);
    insert into t2 values (201);
    declare
    v_table_name user_tables.table_name%type;
    type ttab_id is table of t1.id%type index by binary_integer;
    tab_id ttab_id;
    begin
    for i in 1 .. 2 loop
    v_table_name := 't' || i;
    execute immediate 'select id from ' || v_table_name
    bulk collect into tab_id;
    dbms_output.put_line('query from ' || v_table_name);
    for j in 1 .. tab_id.count loop
    dbms_output.put_line(tab_id(j));
    end loop;
    end loop;
    end;
    There are many other ways to do this (especially if you need to do more than just print out the data).

  • Internal table not getting modified from Table Control

    Hi Guys,
    I am developing a <b>Module Pool </b>Program where I am inserting data directly in table control of the main screen.
    In the flow logic of the Table control I have written :
    PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
      LOOP AT itab WITH CONTROL tc1 CURSOR tc1-current_line.
        MODULE read_data.
      ENDLOOP.
    MODULE status_0100.
    PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
      LOOP AT itab.
        MODULE mod_data.
      ENDLOOP.
    MODULE user_command_0100.
    Module mod_data input.
    MODIFY itab INDEX tc1-current_line.
    Endmodule.
    At modify, when I am debugging it's showing sy-subrc = 4 (Entry not appending in Int Table though it is there in the header line). But, if I use append itab, it's working (Problem is that while inserting 2nd record a copy of first record is also appending which I don't want).
    Please let me know what's wrong in Modify statement or what is solution for inserting records of tablecontrol in internal table.
    TIA,
    Nitin

    Hi Nitin,
    use the following code wor module.
    Module mod_data input.
    READ ITAB INDEX TC1-CURRENT_LINE.
    IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
           MODIFY itab INDEX tc1-current_line.
    ELSE.
           APPEND ITAB.

  • Standard table for finding query where used list

    Are there any standard tables available to find the list of web templates, bex reports and views using a particular query?
    i.e if i have the query name i should be able to find out where all it is being used.

    Hello,
    You have to join multiple tables to achieve this, here we go
    FOR QUERY Related Information
    RSRREPDIR - Directory of all reports (Query GENUNIID)
    Choose Type of a reporting component -> REP
    Tips :
    Choose Type of a reporting component -> QVW for query view
    SE11 -> RSZ* -> F4 gives you all tables related to queries
    For WORKBOOK Related Information
    Use the FM RRMX_WORKBOOK_QUERIES_GET to get the queries in a workbook by selecting the workbook ID from table RSRWORKBOOK
    Tips :
    SE11 -> RSRWB* -> F4 gives you all tables related to workbooks
    SE37 ->RRMX_WORKBOOKS* -> F4 gives you all the FM related to workbooks
    For Webtemplate Related Information
    Choose the dataprovider for query / view ID.
    SE11 -> RSZWOBJXREF - Structure of the BW Objects in a Template

  • Detail Table Not Changing When Master Table Selection Changes

    Using JDev 11.1.1.6.
    I am working through some Oracle tutorials (Storefront Demos).
    I am accessing the Fusion Order Demo (FOD) schema.
    I have created VOs based on BCs for Categories, Subcategories and Products.
    I have added all to my data model and tested functionality using the AppModule.  This works as expected.
    When I drag the Subcategories onto my jsf page as Master-Detail (Table-Table), the initial list is based on the first index of the BrowseCategory data control.
    When I click on another row in the master table, the detail table refreshes but the same data appears.
    I confirmed that the selection changes on the master table.
    I added a button on the page and checked the BrowseCategoryIterator using some backing bean code and the iterator remains on the first record.
    I checked the SelectionListener on the table and it is set correctly as   "#{bindings.BrowseCategory1.collectionModel.makecurrent}"
    Does anyone have any idea why the detail table is not getting updated based on a relationship to the master table?
    Thanks,
    Raymond

    Hi,
    From what you are saying:
         1. it's working in application module tester
         2. you verified the current row of the iterator and you found that it is stuck on the first row
    The problem is then that the selection in the table is not setting the current row in the iterator.
    Try to add a custom selection listener where you just execute the "#{bindings.BrowseCategory1.collectionModel.makecurrent}" expression. this is just to make sure that the listener is being called.
    Also, the problem might be that the current row is correctly set by the table selection, but later in the life cycle it is being reset. so maybe you can also overwite the methods that set the current row in your VOimpl (again by jsut calling the supper) to check if and when these methods are called.

    Elias.

  • Project Server 2013 : Report table not updated with Published tables

    Hello Team,
    We found the issue that Publish and Reporting table have difference in work attribute. is their any way that we can refresh the Reporting table in one go.
    Thanks.

    If this issue is specific to one or few projects, using Save for sharing would be much more easier.
    If this issue is for all the projects then as NicoOosthuysen recommended RDB refresh would be the option. Having said that  you have to take extra measure before you start RDb refresh , since it is very high system resource and time consuming activity
    Steps for Save for sharing
    1. Open MS Project Pro 2013.
    2. Open the project plan from the server.
    3. Now save it locally without making changes in the File Name, using File > Share > Save For Sharing. Provide local location. Do not close Project Professional
    4. Now save back the project back to server using File > Save As (Project Name should be grayed out)
    5. Save and then publish the project plan.

  • SqlDev 3.0 - Query Builder - Drag/Drop table - SLOW

    Has anyone else had their sql*dev 3.0 session essentially "freeze" when attempting to drag/drop a table into the query builder tab?
    After the table finally show up in the query builder, if I remove the table and then drop it back in again, it appears in the QB immediately. The slowness only seems to happen the first time you drag each individual table in.
    Anyone seen it?, is there a solution?
    Thanks!

    It's expected behavior, since the Query Builder needs to load all the required table meta data and the related constraints, foreign keys etc.
    The first EA version of this actually tried to load everything on startup, but then the tool became unusable during the startup phase of Query Builder.
