Taking photos off of photo stream on another mac.

Hi.
My girlfriend is travelling at the moment and wants to remove her photos from her iphone to free up space.
I want to be able to take them off and store them on my mac here at home.
I cant seem to figure out a way to do this.
Any ideas how?

Or, you can use Dropbox's free app to copy photos to dropbox.  Dropbox accounts are free for basic version.

My iPad has deleted 700 photos off the photo stream on that device.  The pictures are still on my Mac iPhoto in the photo stream.  How do I get them to reappear on the iPad?

When did this deletion happen?  Which version of iOS 8 do you have on your iPad? Depending on your settings you may not see My Photo Stream on the iPad any longer.  With iOS 8 "My Photo Stream" will only show on the iPad, if you did not enable iCloud Photo Library (Beta).

  • I am currently using an ipad overseas to put photos to icloud whilst travelling.  If I lose the ipad will i still be able to access the photos given I don´t have another mac device (but could use someone elses)? Thanks

I am currently using an ipad overseas with the hope that I can backup photos to icloud in case I lose the camera and ipad.  I don´t have another mac device but could use my girlfriends when I get home. Would it be possible to access my photos on her macbook using my icloud?
    Thanks

    Welcome to the Apple community.
Assuming you are logged into your iCloud account and have enabled photo stream on your device, then any photos you take on your iPad will be added to photo stream and can be shared to any device that is logged into the same iCloud account.
If while away, you lose your iPad, then upon your return you would need to log into your iCloud account on your girlfriend's computer and enable photostream, by doing this you would then be able to download all the photos you added to photo stream whilst you were away.

  • Ok somehow my sister deleted all my photos off my photo booth and now all my pictures in my iphoto i cant view them i just see white dots and boxes can anyone tell me how i can get my deleted photos back and how can view my photos again please !!!

ok so somehow my sister deleted all my photos off photo booth and now all my photos on iphoto i cant view them i want to know how i can get my deleted photos back and how to view the rest of my photos please help !!!!

Phonebooth is in your home folder under pictures with Iphoto and Ichat. Deleting pigtures from phonebooth should not remove any from Iphoto library. Something else had to happen.

  • Deleting photos off of Photo app on Ipod touch.

I was able to delete all of my photos quickly off my Ipod from my computer from the folders. It was afterwards I couldn't put these photos back on. Now I just want to finish deleting the photos off of the Photo app, but I don't know how. Additional information on how to add back the photos will be appreciated.

    - If the photos were synced to the iPod then you have to unsync them via iTunes
    - If the photos were taken by or saved to the iPod then select the photos and tap the trash can icon

  • Kid deleted photos off photo stream on phone, can I recover them?

My kid accidentally deleted photos off my photo stream on phone, thus all my devices, can they be recovered?

They should still be in the camera roll of the originating device.  Have you looked there?  Also, photos should always be synced to a computer for archiving (either by wired connection or photo stream) and then moved from the photo stream album and into a permanent album.  If you've done that, then check that computer.

  • HT204022 So if I delete a photo from my photo stream on my iPhone, will it be deleted off my computer too when I connect my phone to my computer?

I'm just confused, so if I delete a photo off my photo stream on my iPhone will it be deleted on my computer the next time I connect the two together? Or will it still be on my computer

If your computer is signed into your iCloud account with photo stream enabled, it will.  Deleting a photo stream photo on any of your devices will delete it from photo stream an your other devices that are syncing with your iCloud account with photo stream enabled.
However if when you say "the next time I connect the two together" you are talking about connecting your phone to your computer with your usb cable, then no.  When you connect your phone with your usb cable you are only importing camera roll photos, not photo stream photos.  Thus, nothing you do with your photo stream photos will have any effect on this.

  • Take photos off from broken (black screen) and locked iphone

I have iphone 5 and unfortunately LCD and digitizer are broken. I can not see my screen at all and it is all black. I want to take my pictures off from my iphone but when i am trying to connect to itunes it is saying  in order to take back up i have to unlock my phone. But i am not able to unlcok my phone since it is broken and screen is all black. I suspect my touch screen is not working as well. My phone is working when i press the home button siri answers as well.
I was able to retrieve photos from photo stream of icloud. But i had not shared my all photos in photo stream. There were only few photos in photo stream rest were in the album.
    Any help would be appreacited!!!

So I tried connecting it via iPhoto, but it doesn't show any photos in import panel (may be it is locked). I tried to get photos from icloud but again as i said it only gave me photos off from photo stream and not from photo album.

  • Getting my photos off my ipod

I need to get my photos off my ipod and onto another computer... How do I do that? How do I access them at all? I have almost a gig of photos on it but I have no idea how to access them.

    hi dcopen
even if you cant do it by iTunes, its pretty simple to do it with the normal WinXP explorer, or from my PC, just tell ya somethin, this will only work if you set up iTunes to also copy full resolution photos into your iPod
    here's what you gotta do
. set up windows to make it show all hidden files and folders
. go to my pc, right click your iPod, select explore, a new window will open
. you'll see some folders, like music, calendar, notes, etc, etc
. in that same window, double click photos
. now double click the folder "full resolution"
. you'll see a folder or several with year numbers
. copy all of them into your HD, preferibly into my docs, but not into my pictures folder
. now, explore in-depth those folders
. if you get into one you'll see now several folders numbered in order
. if you get into any you'll see your photos
. now just copy and paste all the photos into my pictures, it'll be tuff but its worth the effort
i dunno if you can use winzip, winrar or winace? to get the pics out of them, try it out, please leave a comment for results...

  • Lifting a photo off of a word doc, placing in iPhoto.

With my PC, I would make albums using Word. I would scan a photo to the Word doc and place it among text. Now, with my new Apple, I wish to take some of those photos and get them into iPhoto.
I have transferred the Word doc from the PC to my mac. I have tried to "copy" the photo, but that doesn't seem to work, as the "paste" function doesn't know what to do.
    I am in iPhoto 09 on a Mac OS X 10.6.4.
How can I get a photo off a Word doc in my Mac, and put it in iPhoto?

Or select the photo in word and print - select the PDF option and use the send PDF to iPhoto option - this will work universally for programs that use the Apple supplied print APIs

  • HT4101 Once pictures are moved from your camera to your iPad (using the camera connection kit), how do you get the photos off of the iPad? They do not show up in my photo stream or my iCloud.

Once pictures are moved from your camera to your iPad (using the camera connection kit), how do you get the photos off of the iPad? They do not show up in my photo stream or my iCloud. I am able to see any photo I took on the iPad using the iPad camera (in iTunes, photo stream, or when I open windows explorer and browse the iPad director), however I cannot see any photos transfered from my camera to the iPad. The camera connection kit must have put my photos in a directory I cannot get to and cannot sync.

  • I need to free up storage on my iPhone 4s to do an update.  I have turned off my photo stream, but when I go into Usage Settings, it says that photo stream is using 3.7gb of space.  How do I get rid of this?

iCloud is not designed to "store" photos (as in long term storage).  iCloud can be used to sync photos from one device to another (photo stream) and to store a backup of the camera roll.  But that's pretty much it.
Camera roll is the group of all photos taken by the device (but not other photos synced to the device from another source).  Your extra storage on icloud will do you no good.  The recommended way of storing photos on a device is to sync them to a computer.
    So, your questions..
    1) You don't/can't
    2) No, because of 1.
    3) On a computer, deleting large groups of photos is relatively painless.  not so on a device.
    4) You can't access photos on iCloud because they can't be store in icloud.  You can't view/access photos in a backup on icloud unless you restore a backup to a device.

  • HT201317 I had my photo stream on and my icloud all set up, i just had the screen replaced and they somehow lost all the photos off my phone, but why wont the photo's reload back on to my iphone now that im connected to wifi again, where are all my photos

I had my photo stream on and my icloud all set up, i just had the screen replaced and they somehow lost all the photos off my phone, but why wont the photo's reload back on to my iphone now that im connected to wifi again, where are all my photos???

When photos are added to the photo stream album on a device (either due to a new photo having been taken or having been synced from another device using the stream) they remain in the album.  However, the syncing process involves copying the photos to the photo stream server where they are kept for a maximum of 30 days, up to 1000 photos.  If a device is reset or the stream is turned off or turned back on again (or in your case, the device was repaired), the photos that were on the device's photo stream album are gone and the only ones to appear are those that are currently on the servers (recall the 30 day limit).
If some of your photos are older than 30 days, then they are no longer stored on the cloud and hence are not synced down to the iphone.
Recall, photo stream is just a syncing service, it is not designed as a storage service for photos.  Always sync photos to a computer for archiving.

how do I recover photos from my AppleTV photo stream? when I reset my iPhone, I did not get all of my photos back. How do I get these photos off of my Apple TV?

    Hi MrRhea,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
It sounds like you have photos in your Photo Stream that you would like to download. The photos are not actually stored on your Apple TV, it sounds like they are being displayed from your Photo Stream. Please read over the attached article for information on your Photo Stream and how to download these photos.
My Photo Stream FAQ - Apple Support
Because your Mac and PC have more storage than your iOS devices, you can choose to download all of your My Photo Stream photos automatically.
In iPhoto or Aperture preferences on your Mac, select Photos (or Photo Stream) > My Photo Stream > Automatic Import. All of your photo stream photos will import into your Events, Projects, Photos, Faces, and Places folders in iPhoto or Aperture.
On your PC with My Photo Stream on in the Control Panel, all of your photos will import intoC:\\Users\<user name>\Pictures\iCloud Photos\My Photo Stream
    Best regards,
    Joe
