Tansferring new iphone data to someone else's old CPU

I have given my old CPU to a friend and it is only recognizing my account, she removed the software and re-installed itunes and it is the same thing. It shows her iPhone serial number, but she can't sync her phone. I there somewhere on the c drive that she can go in to change the account to her and not me?

- Have she tried going to the Store tab in iTunes and Deauthorizing the computer and then Authorizing The Compute for her iTunes account?
- She should also go to the Devices tab in iTunes and delete the backup for you iDevce.
- One can only sync an iDevice with one computer/iTunes library. It should like your friend is change her syncing computer. She has to move her iTunes library to the "new" computer. She also has to move her iDevice backup file to the "new" computer. That file is located here:
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
- One the stuff is moves, she has to restore her iDevice from the backup she just move and then sync the iDevice.

I just received a new iPhone 5 for my 2-year upgrade but am considering selling or giving to one of my kids for Christmas since money's tight. I'd still like to keep my 2-year plan.
What must do before selling/giving to someone else? Do I need to contact Verizon and/or activate? If so, do I have to open the box? I'd prefer to keep sealed to preserve value in either situation.

New iPhone 5 shows someone else's Apple ID

I have just upgraded to an iPhone 5s. I've just tried to update/download some apps but when it asks for my Apple ID it is showing someone else's e-mail address.
I have been into settings and it all looks ok in the App Store bit (has my Apple ID). But it's not letting me log in to check.
All is well on my iPad......
Can anyone help as I'm confused.

I have saved all my datas of my old iphone on itunes and icloud. I got a new phone 4s that I connected to itunes in order to load it and sync with my old datas. but I don't konw how but when itunes sync my new iphone i did not take my old datas. at the end of the sync process, I got an iphone totally virgin, but none of my previous apps, neither contact neither calendar neither anything. what happened? did itunes erased all my previous datas?? i hope not but if it's the case, can I recuperate my old datas through icloud? please help because as a lot of us, all my life is in this iphone.. (contacts, photos of my 18months girl, etc etc)

I think I had it on the iCloud, I just changed computers and had part of my old computer backed up, where are the default iTunes info saved like the pictures and I know my contacts were backed up cuz I kept getting updated stuff that I wasn't sure about, but it was contacts where some belonged to my wife's contacts....but anyway, if the cloud backed up contacts, it should have grabbed pictures too? Like I asked before, if they were backed up to the computer, is there a default iTunes folder they are saved to? I had a crap load of pictures on there that I usually could really access if I was connected to wi-fi. I turned off my data stuff as I only have 4GB and between me and my 2 kids, we seemed to use up a lot of it. My son would play music from Pandora during work, and use up all our data til I limited him to only 3GB, my daughter and I barely used 1GB. Anyway, thanks to everybody that is answering. I thought I might have done good finding the dang sim card, but pointless I guess.
Ralph - F.Y.I. I would be happy to back up the iPhone if I could turn it on LOL......I am pretty positive I did, but what about Text messages? ANY of those saved too or not? Sorry guys, I don't know a **** of a lot about cell phones, but I do know about memory cards, but not sim cards that act like memory cards or look like them anyway. What is the purpose of a sim card if I may ask a stupid question since they don't hold any data from my phone stuff. iTunes Match is a subscription system that allows you to upload your own music (e.g. coped from CDs) to the cloud so that it shows (in the cloud) on your devices and computers without having to sync/copy it.
Automatic downloads allows to, for example, buy an app on your computer's iTunes and have it automatically download on your phone without having to connect and sync it or go to the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your download and download it yourself - but doing that, going to the Purchased tab and redownloading an app, should get it associated.
But no, I'm not aware of any problems that not having it associated causes.

The worst that will happen is that once in a while it will remind you to activate it as a phone. Just ignore the notifications.

Not sure where you backup to.
ITunes keeps the latest backup only.
Icloud keeps the 3 last backup.

Thanks for the question. When it comes to iPhone, very little is stored on the SIM card. Contacts, Photos, etc can be backed up with iTunes or iCloud and then transferred to a new device. For information on how to do so, see this resource:

Completely new iphone logged into someone elses apple id

So recently I got the new iphone 5s (completely sealed in plastic) as a late Christmas present but when I opened it up and tried backing up from my iCloud it asked for the password for someone elses account (I'm not sure anymore but i think it was amandamcvittie@bt???.com??). Anyway, once that came up I decided to leave it there for then and headed over to Apple's Bluewater branch, where it had been purchased, to ask what was wrong. When I got there and approached a worker I was told that there was nothing to worry about and that I should just skip the step and delete the additional account when I got into the system. Another problem was that when the iCloud had been backed up there was an error or something and it went back to the start up screen again (something I was told was unusual but nothing to worry about and which was also ignored) so I had to go through the first few steps again and yet again ignore the amandamcvittie question. Regardless, when we (we being the worker and I) finally reached the main app page of the phone we went to settings and scrolled down to the iTunes and App Store option only to find that the Apple ID was clearly mine. Having seen that we proceeded to check the iCloud option and yet again the account was clearly mine. Unable to find anything that noted the existence of any other account on my phone I was told that there was nothing to worry about and that it probably wasn't anything major. Still slightly unconvinced I went to the App Store to ascertain whether I could download apps without being asked the password for amanda's account. Having downloaded the featured 12 Days of Gifts app without any problem I decided to trust the workers and headed home.
After arriving home and connecting to my internet I pressed one of my apps to begin the downloading process of all my old data (music and apps) and was asked for my password but once I had given my password another pop up asking for amanda's password appeared. Without giving it much thought I simply pressed cancel and the downloading began. Realising what I had done I regretted not taking a screenshot since I was unaware when proof that the amanda account was still stuck in my iphone would appear again but I was not to worry as when I checked my music I saw that there was an unfamiliar album there called 'The Lumineers'. Once everything else had been downloaded this album stayed grey so I pressed it to see what would happen and if the pop up requesting amanda's account password would appear but instead of that it just began flashing and trying to download or something (it looked pretty creepy). I just checked and it is still flashing. This is a picture of the album when I click on it because I did not have the chance to screenshot anything else when it came up.
I could always upload a short clip of the album cover flashing but I can't be bothered right now
I went to the Bluewater branch again today and was told that I could exchange my phone for another one but I didn't have the original receipt with me so I have to go again.
But more importantly I just want to know why there was someone elses apple id on the phone and why there's an album there? I don't mean to jump to conclusions but doesn't this mean that I paid for a new iphone only to find that it had already been used by someone else before? Has anyone else ever had this happen before?

Just got my wife a new iphone 5s phone from Three shop and exactly the same has happened. The Apple ID was [email protected] and every time it goes to download an app it asks for their password and then my wife's password. So weird. Taking phone back to the shop tomorrow for a replacement !
