TC stopped working, can't find any reason for it.

Question

I've had this TC for about 2 weeks, was working as advertised. This morning I was re-cabling under the desk and now the TC is not showing up anywhere. Light is solid green, I've cycled both the router and the TC on/off. Airport Utility doesn't see any TC at all.
Any ideas?

If you have a cable modem, try powering it down for 15-20 minutes (some ISPs will take longer to reset) and pull the battery if it has one. Power down the rest of your system as well.
Power up the modem first and let it run for a few minutes, then power up the TC and let it run for a few minutes and finally your computer. Any luck?
The TC does not have to have an internet connection for the device to display the green light. Can you check your ethernet cable between the modem and the TC and/or the TC and your computer?
Connect your computer to one of the LAN <-> ports on the TC with an ethernet cable and try AirPort Utility that way. If it still can't see it, try pushing the reset button on the TC for 1 second. Sometimes, the TC will just "appear" after a few minutes.
If still no luck after a few tries, you will need to hard reset the TC by holding down the reset button until the amber light blinks rapidly. This will usually take approximately 5 seconds. The device will need to be reconfigured.
If no luck after than, you will need to do a factory default reset as follows:
Power down the TC
Hold in the reset button and keep holding it in as you plug the power back in
Release the reset button after approximately 5-6 seconds
Reconfigure the TC
These resets will not affect any of your backup data, but you may need to reset Time Machine again by clicking the Time Machine clock icon at the top of the screen and selecting Preferences. Click Change Disk, highlight your TC and click Use for Backups.
