Is there like some number I can call for tech support because this email thing is ticking me the hell off. I love Creative but I have yet to get a response form the tech crew. i sent a message a few days ago about my players battery because it is only lastingf or 6 hours!!! I have never over charged it It's onlya few months olkd and to go form 30 hours to 6 is insane. Nopt to mention it doesn't seem to function as it originally did. The number may differ depending upon the country that you're in. I've found the number for support under the warranty folder on the installation CD for most Creative products.

E72 IMAP email sent items sync broken - Tech Suppo...
After a frustrating 30 mins on the phone with a level 2 tech support and being fobbed off with an unnecessary patch for MfE I emailed tech support
“i have an imap email account with GMX set up on my e72 using nokia messaging. it sends and receives email fine. however, any email sent from my phone goes into the sent items folder on my phone, but not into the sent items on my email account. there is no option to tell the phone which folder to use as the sent items folder”
The reply was
“In response to your concern, please be advised that the phone's function to save your sent email to the phone's sent items folder and not on the email sent item folder is a default setting which cannot be altered.“
Brilliant eh? I have asked if there will be a fix in future firmware, but no response. This is a serious issue for anyone using the E72 for email.
I know I am not alone. Will keep you updated if I get anything elseCheck this lot and tell me its not a Nokia problem.

HEADPHONE Jack FIXED! In New Edition - Email from Creative Tech. Suppo
Maybe you guys already know this, but I didn't.
I was shopping around for a micro and came across two different product numbers of apparently the same item (this was on Amazon). One of the numbers went with the limited edition box, which came with extra accesories, and the newer one, came with just the bare necessities.
As odd as it may seem, the newer one was cost more, even though its MSRP is lower than the Limited Edition. Here is the email transcript:

So now i'm in a jam, the limited edition is still available on Amazon and other retailers, but should I opt for the newer, "fixed" one, or take the risk and get more accesories. I noticed some things that were different from my first micro (bought in january 2005)
- the hole player seems to be a liitle more "solid"
- and its very "hard" to turn the micro on and plug in my headphones, so the jack seems to be reinforced! But you can see still these huge gaps around the jack. Hmm I'll se...
+ the the battery cover ( I don't know the english word for it ) is a bit harder to close and not as loose as before! (theres a little *clicking* sound when you close it...

The internet was working fine til 10:31am philippine time. Was downloading OSX Lion, at that time it was somewhere half. Then all of a sudden internet failed and lost connection. Called my ISP immediately and was told it would take 24-48hours for the service to be restored. THen after ending the call the OSx Lion icon disappeared. I dont know what to do. Im not techie at all. Please guys. HELP ME>

I have an older 8GB black iPod Touch (no bluetooth) no longer supported by tech. It is "locked" in restore mode. When I do a 2 button reset I can get the Apple logo but then it pops back to the synch cord-and-music disc icon indicative of restore. Any advice?

Since updating an iphone 5 to ios 8.3, it is no longer recognized by my Windows 7 pc. An Apple tech suggested that I install itunes as the only way to assure that I have the latest driver. Any way to do this without installing itunes?

Cannot install EMET Notifier 4.1 or 5.0 Tech Preview
I uninstalled EMET notifier 3 to try out the new 5.0 tech preview. However when trying to install I get an error saying "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your
support personnel or package vendor."
I tried installing 4.1 and get the same error. I am running Windows 8.1 Home Premium and have .Net 4 installed. I have turned on verbose logging, apologies for the massive amount of data but I didn't want anything to get missed.
The log file is below. Can anyone suggest what might be going wrong?
\Edit - The log below is pretty heavy reading, but the line that seems to be causing the trouble is:

Solution
The solution is to go into c:\users\"username"\AppData\Local\ then right click on "temp" and choose "properies". Choose "security" --> edit --> add, and add the username you are using, and give yourself all rights.

I tried installing 4.1 and get the same error. I am running Windows 8.1 Home Premium and have .Net 4 installed. I have turned on verbose logging, apologies for the massive amount of data but I didn't want anything to get missed.

I am having exactly the same problem. But I also can't even uninstall EMET 3.0 or EMET 4.0 both of which I have installed on my machine. I get the same error message when I try to uninstall them !! I need to uninstall them so that I can install EMET 4.1
or EMET 5.0.
I have been trying to do this for more than a month but without any luck. So any help will be much appreciated.

Sorry for short novel I am writing. I just wanted to cover as much backround as possible.
So, here it goes. I backed up my iphone 4 after renting a movie. The movie only played the starting credits before I was called on for daddy duty. A few days later the movie would not play, so I restored my phone from my backup. The movie would still would not play so itunes support refunded my purchase and ended my viewing privileges for that rental after verifying that I had not viewed the movie. I then had a problem with my contacts showing up twice in the contacts list after the restore. So I attempted another restore. All was well at this point. I then started having trouble with my pc and decided to copy the internal drive to an external source. A week later I had a system failure and did a factory restore on my computer. I re-installed itunes and tried to copy and paste the old backup into the new itunes. Now itunes just flat out does not see the backup file (I failed to mention that I did a factory reset on the iphone after the last backup, hopping to start fresh). Tech support had me uninstall and re-install itunes and then copy and paste the old backup into the newly installed itunes with no luck. The files are all there, but itunes just doesn't see them (itunes says the device has not been backed up to the cloud or to the local machine). We then tried backing up the factory restored iphone and replacing that restore file with one of my old backups on the external drive. Ok, this is where it gets weird. We replaced the guts of the folder but left the folder itself so itunes would continue to recognize the new backup folder with the old files. Whoohoo, itunes now see's a backup folder full of old files, or so we thought. The new files were deleted using shift delete so they would be gone for good and not mix with any files or folders. When I restore my phone, it restores the files that were deleted from the restore file (pause here for a moment and imagine the stupid look on the face of tech support and I while we silently wonder how files that were permanently deleted were restored). This left tech support and I both scratching our heads. My service issue was escalated to the next level. I waited for the phone call the next day that was scheduled at 10am to my wife's phone, but the call never came through. As usual, apple disappoints again. I just bought an iphone 5s and still have the iphone 4, and am looking for a solution to retrieve my contacts and restore to the 4 or 5s. I am guessing that files in other folders must be associated with the iphone backup in order for itunes to retrieve the files. I was using OS Snow Leopard and on 8/1/13 I downloaded Mountain Lion. Then I found out it was not compatible with my HP Printer (HP Photosmart C5580 all-in-one) so I called Apple support and the tech told me to erase the hard drive instead of going in the time machine. Well I did that and then it took about three hours three days a week for about three weeks on the phone with an apple tech to get all my stuff back on my computer. I have had trouble with my printer (won't do the scan anymore and wasn't printing on my DVDs. Also the computer keeps freezing up when it is in the sleep mode, etc.
When I tried to list my problem on this forum it lists your OS at the bottom and mine had Mountain Lion listed as what I was using so apparently it didn't erase it. Want to know how to get Mountain Lion off and put my Snow Leopard on so things start working right.Go to the menu/About This Mac - what OS version shows there?
Do a backup, preferably 2 separate ones on 2 separate drives.
Revert to a Previous OS X

If you do revert, I'd use Setup Assistant to restore your data. This process takes a while, so do it when you won't need the computer for several hours, based on my experience. -
I am asking this because I want the G-Tech Hard drive says that it is designed for the macbook pro. Yet, I want to back up faster with by using my firewire 400 which is not an option on the one designed for the white macbook that does not have a firewire (only a USB port.) The G-Tech Hard drive comes with the 800 to 400 compatible cable and has 5400 RPM with 750 GB. Also, I've heard that laptops with low battery (mine all the time) won't have the power for a bus powered Hard drive (as in no ac plug in adaptor.) Can I just plug in my laptop? Any one know the answers from experience with this hard drive?
As far as I know, if a harddrive works with a Macpro, it should work with the Macbook: if your Macbook is low on power, plug in the AC adapter
If your Macbook has a firewire port, then it should be fine. BUt i would do somemore research first. -
I tried to sync my iPod touch to a new MacPro laptop and it deleted all of my music and videos. I called tech support and they told me to email iTunes and they would give it back to me. How do I do this??
Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.

I know this seems to be an emerging issue ever since the update to iTunes 11.1.4, some iPhones or other iOS devices are not showing up in iTunes or syncing. I'm not sure if Apple really knowns of this issue, but tech support has a (mostly) sure fire way of resolcing this issue. It's only for Windows computers though.
Go to the article http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1538 and follow the Section 5 Verify Apple Mobile Device USB driver is installed. When you clik on that section, go to your version of Windows (it seems to be happening mostly across Windows 8) . And then to the section: If Apple iPod, Aple iPhone, or Apple iPad is listed.
The gist of what you need to do:
Windows 8 (since it seems to be the most affected) move your cursor to the upper ight corner of your screen) and click on the Magnifying glass. Type in devmgmt.msc and this should bring up the Device Manager. Onc eyou are in the device manager, look for the "Portable device" or "Universial Serial bus Controller" list, and you should see the "Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod" listed. Onc eyou see it, right click it, choose "Update software driver." Now, IT WILL SAY THE DRIVER IS UPDATED. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. Select "Browse my computer for driver software." Onc eyou choose that, select "Let me pick from a lsit of drivers on my computer." You should see the option "Have Disk." Choose that. Again, I KNOW you do not have a physical disk, but the file we need is already on your computer. After Hard Disk, choose Browse again. Follow this file path to the file we need: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers.. In the Driver's folder, you should see the "usbaaple" or "usbappl64" (if you have the 64 bit for Windows). Double click on that file, and hit OK. The file should install, and once it's finished check your iTunes!!! You may want to unplug your device and plug it back it before doing all of this. I REALLY hope this works for you all as well!How can I change my file extension from m4p to something else? I have had no success being able to play or burn my purchased music. I keep getting error 2122. If I can change the format I should be able to move it to another player or at least burn it in Nero. Thanks.

IT BEEN A MONTH WITHOUT PS CC AND CANNOT GET TECH SUPPORTHELP
I have been using PS since the beginning. I now have joined the masses and subscribe to PS CC. It does not bother me to pay a monthly fee. What does bother me is Adobe Tech support SUCKS.
I was in India the first 2 weeks in Nov and took 4,980 pic. I have been post processing them since I came home. I use plug-ins Nik and Topaz. On Dec. 1 my computer went to the “blue screen”. When I rebooted in the safe mode, all my programs came back ok and things seemed to work. However all versions of my PS ( I have CS5, CS6 and CC) would load and then I would get a windows message “that PS had stopped working and was closing”. So I started the calls to Adobe and finally on Dec 3, I worked with a tech, of course in India, for 2 hours, He took me through soooooooo many things. The bottom line was, he was not able to get PS CS 6 back into the Creative Cloud Desktop App. He COULD NOT get the CC app to load. He said he would escalate the problem and someone would call within 2-4 days. To date Dec, 18 no one has called, I have however called THREE MORE times. Yesterday, I asked to speak to an Adobe team supervisor and again promised someone would call me…AND THEY DID NOT.
In the meantime, I think I found the reason why my computer crashed…it was the Nik plug-in. The tech on Dec 3 had done an Adobe cleaner and all my Preset & plugin I had to put back. When I loaded Nik and used Color Efex I got the error message as above. So I uninstalled it and got in touch with Nik. They had me upgrade my video card and several other things to no avail.
So I called on Dec, got a Supervison who PROMISED ME on his mothers grave that I would get a callback in 15 min.! NEVER DID
Today, all I want is my PS CC back… finish my post processing of my India photos and then I will tackle the possibility of a computer problem and reformatting my hard drive…I work for a computer company so it can be done.Hello
I had exactly this problem. In the end i used the online service and they fixed it for me. It was something to do with how the data was set up on my computer and they remotely accessed my computer fixing the issue for me. It was all very complex and they were very good at sorting it, highly recommended.

See this article about troubleshooting the error message regarding access privelages. It may be preventing your iTunes library from being able to save/retain music you have recently imported to it, which may explain why no new content is being added to your device.

I purchased the note book mini for Rogers Wireless. It has the built in rocket stick.. I signed a 3 yr contract and paid 100.00 for the mini. I pay 48.56 a month for the wireless service. My note book was maybe 3 months old. I came home for a long weekend to find the mini not working would not turn on and if it did turn on the screen was black.. After being on the phone with tech support for almost 3 hours they had me taking apart the mini doing things that i felt were not my job to do.. They then told me that they would send me a ups box to send it for repair. Oct 12 was when it was sent out. Today is now the 26th of Oct. I have been on the phone with customer 3 times since the 12.. I could not for the life of me understand their broken english I ask to be transferred to someone that knew what they were doing they could not even find any info on my case #. They would just keep transfering me to other people then I would have to say the same thing over and over. So today I spent 2.5 hrs on the phone with them again. I was wondering why the status of my mini was that I owed them 359.00 for repair. They had no idea why this was and that they would call me back,. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he told me that he is to busy to talk to me!!!! I was like are you kidding me.. HP is a JOKE. so not only did I get f@#k on the mini I am in a 3 yr contract with the thing and it dose not even WORK...
I will never ever ever buy an HP ever again.. Back to apple for meShould of taken it back to Rodgers for an exchange.
