Telepresence Conductor Install Wizard Not Starting.

Hello all,
So I am trying to get an instance of Telepresence Conductor running in my environment.  I have deployed the .ova for both 3.0.2 and 2.4.1 on different ESX Hosts but regardless of the version or host when the appliance boots up and I log in with the default user and password it goes straight to the # prompt.  I never get prompted with the install wizard.
Anyone have any suggestions?  Is there a command to start the wizard manually?

If you're getting a # sign and not a prompt for the configuration wizard, it sounds like you've logged in under the root account.  Can you provide a screenshot to verify?
You should be logging in with username "admin", and password "TANDBERG" if this is brand new deployment.

I installed the new version of LIghtroom (2015) from Creative Cloud.  Creative Cloud says I successfully installed the new version.  However, the shortcut icon that was installed does not start the new version.  I've also gone to the properties link itself but, no success in starting.  How do I launch the new version?

  • Palm Desktop Quick install will not start and has no solution

When starting quick install, i get informed that 'an unidentified programme wants to access my PC' its the quick install .exe , however when i grant the programme safe i get informed that palm desktop quick install has stopped working and i will be notified if there is a solution.... which inevitably there is not! Any idea's?
    Post relates to: Tungsten E2

    barrybaillie,
These warnings sound like the Vista's UAC kicking in. If this is the case, you should know that Quick Install does not work in Vista.
The downloadable Desktop 6.2.2 for Vista has a replacement to Quick Install that does work - but the Desktop itself is truly terrible and loses many other functions (Expense, NotePad, VersaMail, colour-coded events, Birthdays and Anniversaries) that you may have come to expect from your Desktop.
If your current Desktop is otherwise working as expected, you should know that an alternative to Quick Install already exists on your machine and this does work on Vista. The easiest way to access it is to right-click the program you wish to install, then  > Send to... > Palm Powered Handheld. This is a shortcut to the program instapp in the Palm folder.
An installation window will pop up (a UAC confirmation *may* pop up and can be dismissed) showing the chosen program ready for Hotsync. At this point you may also Add other programs/files. Hotsync when ready.
A further alternative that I understand works with Vista is the freeware Pilot Install (  http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/simplyinstall-pilotinstall.shtml ) and which bypasses Palm's software entirely.
    Hope this helps!

  • FP Install Will Not Start after DLM Install

The FP installation will not start after an apparent DLM installation.  The DLM appears to install and the control panel shows it is present, but the FP installation will not start.  There are no other messages that appear.  A restart and reinstallation attempt installs the DLM again, but still no FP install.  Using XP SP3 and IE 8.0.
    Thx

    Hi mont1228,
The Adobe Download Manager (DLM) executes the Flash installer in "silent mode" so you shouldn't see a dialog box.  To confirm that Flash was installed successfully, go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ and let me know if the animation doesn't appear.

  • Manually installed ziswin not starting

Hi all: Testing a new reimaging method in light of issues I
have with newer zfdagent. From what I have read ziswin can
be installed manually so that the full zfdagent is not
needed to restore image-safe data. However, my testing has
shown that ziswin will not kick off following a reboot like
it should (assuming the just imaged flag is set).
    My manual install consisted of:
    ziswinexe -> c:\windows\system32
    ziswinr.dll -> c:\windows\system32\nls\english
Then run ziswin -install to set registry key. Supposedly
this should result in ziswin kicking off at every startup
and if the "just reimaged" flag is set restore the
    image-safe data.
Can you help me out? Why will ziswin not start? Thanks,
    Chris.

  • Downloading a Photoshop Elements Mac trial - download/install does not start

I am attempting to download Elements 10 trial on a Mac Book Pro.  I have turned off my pop up blockers, firewalls, third party blockers, etc...  I downloaded the assistant and once it installs nothing happens.  It disappears out of the dock without downloading Elements.  I tried to download AIR as well as it stated that it may need that downloaded before the assistant could work.  Same thing happened.
    Thank you,

Invalid Checksum error appears if the download got corrupt which could be due to a bad or slow internet connection.
You could try temporarily disabling Error Checking. See http://forums.adobe.com/message/4370247#4370247 to see out how.
If that does not resolve the issue, I woudl recommend using a different internet connection to download again..

  • Trouble getting java install wizard to work with 3rd party software

    Hi,
I just installed Java 2 SDK version 1.4.2 under Solaris 8. The installation appears to be fine. I changed
the links and PATH to make sure I'm pointing to the correct version. I am trying to install a 3rd party software called Powerchute Network Shutdown by APC, to be able to shut down our servers remotely, that are attached to our APC UPS. I get these error messages from the software:
    starting the wizard
    Exception in main calss "JExpressLoader"
    java wizard not started properly
unable to start the install wizard
Tech support at APC has been unable to help me. I am wondering if someone can tell me how to verify my java wizard is installed correctly. (I don't even know what a java wizard is by the way, so hopefully
this question makes some sense to someone).
    Thanks.

  • I want to install a hp laserjet pro cp1525nw with ox mountain lion . I dowload the drivers in the apple site but when i try to add a printer , my mac book air do not start the research. nothing happen . Can you help me?

I want to install a printer hp laser pro cp1525nw on my macbook air with mountain lion 10.8.2 . I download the drivers from the apple site and install them . I resart the macbook . I just can not add a new printer . the computer dos not start a research
    Can you help me?

hi . I had the simalar  problems of my HP b209a-m printer not being seen on my wireless network> I could not add the printer and could not get the printer to join my network,  I found this post at HP discussion and it worked!
Each printer has different options/settings but it seems like the general idea should work ok if you can reset printer back to factory settings and find Printer IP Adress.
    This is for HP printers
    1. On the printer navigate to the Wireless or Network menu.
    2. Select Restore Defaults.
    3. On your computer look for a wireless network named 'hpsetup' and connect to it.
    4. Print a Wireless Network Test from the front of the printer to see its IP address. (on my b209a-m Printer the IP info was found by pressing the Wireless Icon)
    5. Type the IP address into the address bar of a web browser to see the printer's internal settings.
    6. Click on the Network tab and look for the Wireless Setup Wizard and run it.
    7. The Passphrase is the password you use on your wireless connection.
    8. Now change the network name on your computer back to your wireless network.
The printer will now be connected to your network.  With your the computer backyour wireless network network, you can re-add the printer from System Preferences.
Hope this works--- it did for me.

  • Outlook 2010 -Mailbox Cleanup wizard does not start when using cached mode

We are using Outlook 2010 with Exchange 2003 server.
Currently all users are using online mode, but for some problem, I need to persuade the users to change to use cached mode.
Recently we find that when user
mailbox reaches its size limit and try to send an email message in Outlook 2010 that is in cached mode, the email message stays in the
Outbox and the Mailbox Cleanup wizard does not start. It just prompts
for "send and receive error". As most of the user would not look for what the error is referring and just call IT to fix. Even worst is, they didn't realize that the mail is still in outbox.
I find the KB2544027 describing this issue but was not available and suggest to install 2596485.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2544027/en-us
I've try to install the hotfix and install Office 2010 SP2 but just doesn't work.
Does anyone know how can I fix it?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Based on my research from the internal resource, this issue has been fixed in build 14.0.6126.5000 or less. I suppose that the hotfix not available because it has been involved in the release.
I’d like to confirm your Office 2010 build number so that we can conduct a deeper analysis on this issue.
In addition, make sure you have installed the latest update for Office 2010.

You need to contact the developer/manufacturer directly to determine if their product is compatible w/Yosemite.  It is not listed on their system requirement website:
    Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks
Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion
    Mac OS X 10.7 Lion
Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard*
Note: ArchiCAD 17 is the last version of ArchiCAD to support Mac OS X 10.6
Only case insensitive file-system volumes are supported.

  • Oracle 10G Non-Network install - OEM will not start when on the LAN.

    Greetings,
Got through a non-networked 10G Enterprise installation OK; I chose to create the orcl schema, connected to it through various utilities, added new tablespace, and all was well. I also checked my Host Name by pinging it in DOS, it showed me the IP address of the MS loopback adapter which is what I was expecting.
Once I connected the same machine to the LAN (and internet) and re-booted, for some reason the Host Name was now assigned the dynamic IP address of the LAN and not LAN2 (which is the loopback adapter that is assigned a static local IP address). It did this even though I had already added an entry in the /etc/hosts file that explicitly assigns a static IP address to the Host Name (as recommended in the Oracle 10G pre-installation instructions). I also could not get the OEM to launch a webpage, run and connect to the orcl database after the re-boot; I am wondering if this is related to the IP address assigned to Host Name changing; maybe the Oracle agent can no longer resolve the URL for some reason?
In the end I find that the only way to insure I can have a working Oracle environment and be on an active network at the same time, is to bring up the Oracle environment on a standalone system first, and once Oracle is running connect the system to the network. Is there no way to automate this process?
The format of the hosts file entry recommended by the Oracle 10G pre-installation instructions is as follows:
    ===========================================================
    IP_address hostname.domainname hostname
    where:
IP_address is the non-routable IP address you entered for the loopback adapter.
hostname is the name of the computer.
domainname is the name of the domain.
    For example:
    10.10.10.10 mycomputer.mydomain.com mycomputer
    ==========================================================
In my case since I am not part of a Windows domain (but am part of a Windows Workgroup), I added an entry in the /etc/host file that looks like the following:
    # Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
    # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
    # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
    # entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
    # be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
    # The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
    # space.
    # Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
    # lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
    # For example:
    # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
    # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
    127.0.0.1 localhost
    192.168.110.250 IBM-6AB1330E158
==> Note that I did not add the domain name to the entry I created since I am not part of a domain, I also used the format I found in the etc/hosts file which is:
    IP_address hostname.domainname
    - not -
    IP_address hostname.domainname hostname
Which is the format recommended in the Oracle 10G pre-installation instructions; this does leave me wondering which format is correct...
Thanks in Advance for any help,
    ADG13

I have not. I am hoping someone (maybe even from Oracle support) will step up and officially tell us we are either right or wrong in the way we are approaching this. From the research I have done on the internet it sounds like this should work, you should be able to have Oracle starting and running fine whether you boot connected to the LAN or not, assuming you have created the MS loopback adapter, assigned it a static IP, and changed the hostname entry in etc/hosts file as part of the 10G WinXP recommended pre-installation instructions.
And yet I find I have to start Oracle when I am not connected to the LAN or the services will not start correctly. If this is a "feature" then hopefully someone will tell us and maybe give us a workaround or give us an idea if this will be addressed in a future release. Having said that and in fairness to the Oracle product; being a developer I have other products installed on my machine that have special networking setup needs also, and in my case this could be exasperating or even possibly causing this Oracle problem I am having. To be specific I have software for 2 different VPNs installed so I can tunnel into 2 private networks. One of these VPNs require me to make use of a DNS Suffix (as shown below) which might be contributing to my problems, not sure. I also have VMWare installed which uses it own network adapters when it is running, so you can see how things could get a little hairy... at any rate, there is my 2 cents worth (or is that 5 cents? : )

  • [BO XI 3.1] BO Designer not starting after installing SP5

    Hello All!
I installed SP5 on top of BO XI 3.1 SP3 (Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit) on server. There is an issue that Designer is not starting. The process designer.exe shows up in "Task manager" for 1-2 second and disappear. No entries in Event Viewer and in BO logs. I also installed SP5 on client desktop machine and the same happens.
Do you have any tips/advices? Thanks for that!
    Bartosz

    Hello,
we are not aware of such type of problem and it is most likely something peculiar to the configuration or architecture of your deployment.
I would analyze trace logs from Designer and from Process Monitor ( [http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645] )
My advice is to open a support  message because is a complicated investigation that probably will need some remote support as well
    Thanks
    Best regards,
    Simone

Just installed Firefox 3.6. Firefox will not start and Firefox safemode does not start either. Using Task manager I do not see if started either. If I create a new profile and start from that window, Firefox starts up. I see no error windows/messages. I do have it listed in my Firewall as an exception program with Permit All. What is happening?
