Tell me if my idea is wrong

Question

Hi ;
I'm work in simple web application and MySQL DB, and create managed-bean that hold data from DB (session and request)
and I need some ideas
my first idea :
I make class and all method in this class public static that method check if the array empty call private method to fill this array from DB
so any managed-bean can used static data without go to DB
any think wrong in this idea ?? any risk ?

any think wrong in this idea ?? any risk ?basically you are creating a cache. There are already solutions available for that, that are also a little more flexible. For example, you are dumping data from a database into a static array - what if the data in the database changes? You'll need a restart of the application/server to get the changes visible in your application.
Also, WHY are you caching this data? For performance? It is just as easy to create a simple service class that will fetch the data for you from the database, there is absolutely no need to cache anything unless you are expecting hundreds of users to hit the application at the same time.
