Templates in French

My pages templates are all in French. How do I switch to English?

What exactly are you objecting to?
That it is in a frighteningly different language that makes you feel insecure, or that you don't want placeholder text?
In either case, feel free to change the templates to whatever you wish, using English as placeholders or using no placeholders at all. Save them and load them up to http://www.iworkcommunity.com

Templates in French - want them in English

my templates are in French and i have no idea why and would like to change them into English. How can i do that?

To change the language go to Inspector>Text>More and close to the bottom, there will be a menu for Language. My guess is it already set to English.
The templates are not in French, the text is just a placeholder. Does it start with "Lorem ipsum"? This is just a dummy text that shows where the text goes and what the format is. Why are my templates in French!?!

When I go to open a new document and use a template, they're all in French. I don't know French, so this is pretty frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No, the templates aren't in French (or Spanish) but a form of Latin known as "Greeking." DennisG's user tip, Placeholder text in a foreign language, explains it.

Mircosoft Office 2011 updated in french not english

I uploaded the newest update for microsoft office 2011 and in loaded my templates in french not english, how to change to english? Selecting a template to use, it will type in english.

Hi David & anyone else reading this,
I've discovered that the issue seems to now only relate to the grouping, not the date files itself. Screenshot below shows the dates and the incorrect grouping headers.
Date Last Opened is somehow fixed (before the 10.10.1 update, potentially with an Office update), however, the grouping still shows most files last opened in the "2001" category. Could it be that in the background in the file system multiple "Date last opened" are kept and used? Is there any way to rebuild this?

Need help in Multi language XML Publisher report

I am working in EBS R12, database 10g.
I am have a requirement to develop the multilanuge XML Publisher report.
Details i have till now:
query in report builder: select * from emp;
RTF: created RTF(test_rtf)
Datadefinition: test_dd
Template:test_t (Language:English, terittory:US, uploaded the RTF)
Requirement: I need the output in English and German Language.
For French language, how to proceed further.... Could somebody help me with procedure to get it.
Do i need to create any RTF and Template for FRENCH language.
Kindly help me with procedure to be followed.

I have below procedure to achieve this but still not able to print output in desired language.
1. created rtf
2. created data definition (dd)
3. created template (tt) [language-english, terittory-US, translatable].
4. Exported the translated file(.xlf file) to local system
5. In .xlf file, changed the target language to 'fr-FR' (I want to print in french)
6. It was successfull done and status is complete
Through SRS window, i submitted the program...but it's still showing output in english only not in french.
Note:At SRS window, it's showing only ENGLISH LANGUAGE.
Am i missing anything....How to show desired languages at SRS WINDOW.
Could somebody help me how to print data in FRENCH language.
I hope that i can get the solution from this forum.

Default PLD language in setup

Hi,
When Canada localisation is used, the default language for the PLD templates is French, even if the base language is indicated as English.
Please fix this so that the PLD template language is determined by the base language selected.

Can you take a photo of the BIOS screens and post them here?
Otherwise, take a look at the BIOS screens and look for the word Sprache. That is the German word for language. The word for English in German is Englisch.

Problem when installing Publisher : corrupted published_content_portlets.pt

I've installed Publisher 6.4 under Linux RedHat and I have a problem : the file "published_content_portlets.pte" has some corrupted lines, like these :

Publisher trouble : Published Content based portlets disabled

I've configured an environment with an instance of publisher. Later, I've created a publisher redirector, and republished all items in the publisher back office
For some obscur reasons, since this last modification, I cannot create new portlets based on the Published Content web service. I always got the message "This portlet has been deactivated. Contact your portal administrator."
I've checked the Published Content web service and it's enabled
Where is the error ? Must I configure something in another place ?
Another error, that has a probable relation with this previous error : I'm not able to do a "preview" of all my content items under the publisher back office, I always got an error saying me that or the page is unknown

Iweb problem--FRENCH TEMPLATES

Can someone tell me why my templates are coming up in French?...how do I get them to English?...I just did a custom install of Iweb and Iphoto, and as soon as I pulled up the templates...the writing is in French?...why not English....PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!

My templates are in spanish...or maybe french...well, something at least

whenever i open a template the writing is in french. how can i change this, it's driving me crazy not being able to read what all hte text is. there is nothing in preferences? do i just need to go learn another language?

welcome to the Pages Discussions. I think you mean the original Pages templates. This is not french but some kind of latin. It is only a "blind text", a filler for replacement. It is only for instant showing, how a layout will look with styled text without filling an entire page with your own thoughts, what would take a while longer. There is nothing of interest in that texts.

French Pages Templates

Hi, this has probably been answered before but I can't seem to find it in the forums. Maybe it is too old a topic. Anyway, here goes.
I'm in Canada and I installed Pages in French. Now, all the document templates are in A4 (ISO) layout. How can I use the Traditional ones?

First of all, your Pages program is actually a folder in disguise. to see what goodies reside within, you have to use ctrl-click to open the contextual menu and the choose show package contents. This lets you peek inside the programs package. Ask permission first, not everyone enjoys this fiddling around with their hidden bits.
Now inside the package you will find a folder marked 'resources' Inside that folder you will find several dozen files and other localization folders. Inside the various localization folders you will find a folder for each language and the templtes.
You only have to copy the templates folder from the english localization to the french localization folder. tried it in the opposite direction and was unable to read any of the text and everything was in A4.
If you don't mind having the inadequacies of that English language staring you in the face while you play with pages, then this should get you what you need (all the program dialogues and menus in French and everything in in the templates in engliish and handy north american page sizes for all.)

French web templates? What are the chances?

Salut,
I'd like to export a web with the default text appearing in French. I have manually changed the text on the various index pages manually in Dreamweaver, but I don't have the heart to open each of the large photo html pages to translate the "Previous Index Next" text.
So 2 questions:
1. Might there be a French Lightroom template out there somewhere? OR
2. Is there a real easy way to translate these large photo pages? A master page or something?
