Terms of Payment Issue

Hi SD Experts,
How do i configure my terms of payment to work based on the scenario given as below: ZPR1 to ZPR4 are condition types.
ZPR1 - $10
ZPR2 - $5
ZPR3 - $5
ZPR4 - $5
Customer must pay ZPR1 first, the remaining ZPR2 to ZPR4 are 30 days term. Is it possible to set? Please bear in mind that the amount in those condition type changes as per different sales order created.
I just need to set up a terms of payment to pay for condition type ZPR1 first, then the remaining condition types for 30 days term.
Any ideas?
Many thanks!

Hi there,
Interesting scenario. When the customer makes an advance payment, then how willl the business calculate the balance amount?
May be this would work.
1) Define the pricing procedure normally with all ZPR1 - ZPR4 defined in your procedure. Basing on the pricing procedure consider that the order value is $100.
2) Assume that you have a milestone billing plan. Define 2 mile stones as order save & invoice generated. For the 1st milestone 20% of the order value ie $20 for eg should be payed.
3) Also define a delivery block for the sales order with the name for eg advance payment. Once the amount is received, only then block is released.
4) Store the advance payment in a Z table which you are going to call in pricing procedure.
5) Define a new condition type advance amount ZADV for eg sothat it will deduct the advance amount from the price. In the requirement routine in pricing, put a condition that it will pick up the value from the Z table & default it into ZADV. This means ZADV value is $20. Deduct that from PR00 to arrive at net price.
6) your ZADV contion type should have calculation type as B fixed quantity. Plus or minus field will be negative. Condition class is A.
7) maintain the copy control in VTFA for OR to F2. In the item level, pricing type will be B, carry out new pricing.
This would mean, For eg when the order is loaded, ZADV will be 0. Order value will be $100. Customer makes an advance payment of $20. Donot include any taxes or discounts here. Once you receive $20, remove the delivery block & create delivery & invoice. During invoice, re-pricing is done, ZADV will be $20 & it will be deducted from PR00. Since repricing will be done Net price will be $80 on which taxes are recalculated.
Hope this solution works. You need to test it thoroughly of course.

Sivanand

  • Issue regarding terms of payment at item level

    Hello gurus
I have an issue here. There are 2 materials in the sale order. 1 material has item category as TAN and the other material has item category as TANN. In the customer master the terms of payment was given as 0001, hence in the sale order at the header level i am getting it as 0001 but at the item level,  under the Billing tab, i am getting the Payment terms as A, for both the materials. So wanted to know from were does the payment terms is retrieved in the sale order at the item level under the Billing tab.
    Thanks and regards

You can overwrite the payment terms in the sales order (but the terms should be created before)
While creating sales order, the payment terms is copied from the sales area data ->sales tab page
You have another payment terms in the company code data, i,e useful for generating reports based on the company code and it is mandatory to maintain the data in the sales area data while creating the customer master
dont forget to reward pts if found useful
    thanks & regards

  • Terms of payment/cheque post date issue

    Hi guys.
On PO and MIRO terms of payment PD15 is being used. How can I make the cheque date post dated.
    Baseline date March 18
    Due date April 2
    On F-58.
I want the cheque date to be April 2 without opening the next period.
    Is it possible at all?
    Can someone help me please.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
I think it is not possible to give future date as posting data unless period is open.
We can do the same by opening two posting periods simultaneously by doing authorization objects in OB52. This object will be tagged to a particular role with specific users and deactivating for all other roles.
Other alternative: We can create a post dated cheque through a manual check by changing the date in the manual check.

  • Changing terms of payment on an order

    Hello Everyone,
There is a big issue at my company and I am hoping someone can help me out with this. There are occasions when a customer will come into one of our branches and place an order on their account that has the terms of payment set to cash. The order will flow through our system and not hit VKM1 for credit check. Once the customer gets the product they will say they don't have the cash and they want it to go open account terms. Our branch employee will then go into VA02 and change the terms of payment on the order after post goods issue so the order will not get credit checked in VKM1 and the amount will go open account. We will end up not getting paid for this merchandise. Is there any way to put a block on this change after post goods issue in VA02? I was told that no credit checking can be done once the order gets to that point. Please help.

Item Payment terms is not available in SAP E-Commerce without enhancements.
Since the item update event doesn't include this field in the backend interface, the best approach is to use "Extension data" fields at item level to add this feature. The update of the backend "model" needs to be done using ABAP in the item extension BAdI. ( I am assuming crmstandard scenario).
You can use the "same" JSP code with little modification to read the item payment terms field. The valuehelp used in the header can be used for item too. From JSP, you can add the field value to extension data of Items in the SalesDocumentParser's customer exit for item.
This new custom field has to be read in the item BAdI and later added to the Item payment term in the backend order object (Order_maintain).
In the response cycle in the same item BAdI, the value then has to be read from the order object (Order_read) and added to the extension data tab.

  • Credit Management Process based on Terms of Payment.

    Hi All,
My Client wants to use SAP Credit Managment Process. The SAP is currently being used but without Credit Management. As per my initial discussion I have enclosed the requirments below. Your Kind Help will be highly appreciated.
    1.     The Process has to be implemented in a 2 Step Process.
    2.     The Initial Requirement is based on Terms of Payment. If the Number of Days is Overdue for the Invoice for a particular Customer, the system should issue a warning message (in the Form of Mail or any other way) which can be shown as evidence to the Customer for collection of Payment so that further Sales Transactions can take place.
(Is there the standard Process in Credit Management based on Terms of Payment)
    3.     In the next step Value Base Credit Check has to be implemented. The Value will be set for a particular Customer in Credit Master. When the Sales Order is raised and if the Credit Limit is exceeded the System should issue the warning message. Based on the Warning Message Issued an email should triggered to the particular person in Finance that the Credit Limit for a particular person has been exceeded and Credit Limit needs to be increased.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sam.

    Dear Mr F Farooq,
    1. The Process has to be implemented in a 2 Step Process.
Do the following configurations for credit management :
    Refer the following link.
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERPLO/CreditManagementConfigaration
Now for this requirement, since different billing documents for the same customer  can have different payment terms (whcih means different billing will be due on different date) , please make the following changes in OVA8
    Check for 'oldest open item'
Now follow my reply in the below thread.
Sales order to be blocked based on customer payment terms and credit limit
You can use WORKFLOW to trigger mail when such a message is triggered in the sales order , due to credit check.
Ask your ABAP-er for details on workflow.
Just configure according to the thread given for 1st POINT.
CHECK FOR DYNAMIC and set reaction as 'C' and check STATUS /BLOCK.
Maintain the credit limit in the FD32.
Now when the sales order value exceeds the credit limit , a message will be triggered.
Use the concept of WORKFLOW to create mail based on this message .
When the user gets mail, he can maintain the new credit limit in FD32 and release the document for delivery/billing in VKM3.
Revert back if there is any issues.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Credit management and Terms of Payment

    Hi
Can anybody throw some light on the role of Terms of Payment in .Credit Management.
    Thanks in advance
    Ravi

    Dear sankar ravi,
    Credit management
    Purpose
Outstanding or uncollectible receivables can spoil the success of the company greatly. Credit Management enables you to minimize the credit risk yourself by specifying a specific credit limit for your customers. Thus you can take the financial pulse of a customer or group of customers, identify early warning signs, and enhance your credit-related decision-making. This is particularly useful if your customers are in financially unstable industries or companies, or if you conduct business with countries that are politically unstable or that employ a restrictive exchange rate policy.
    Integration
If you are using the Accounts Receivable (FI-AR) component to manage your accounting and an external system for sales processing, Credit Management enables you to issue a credit limit for each customer. Every time you post an invoice (created in FI-AR), the system then checks whether the invoice amount exceeds the credit limit. Information functions such as the sales summary or early warning list help you to monitor the customer’s credit situation.
If you are using both the Accounts Receivable (FI-AR) component to manage your accounting and the Sales and Distribution (SD) component for sales processing, you can also use Credit Management to issue credit limits for your customers. You can make settings in Customizing to decide the scope of the check and at what stage in the process (for example, order entry, delivery or goods issue) a credit limit should take place. General information functions are also available for use with credit checks.
    Features
If you are using both the SD and FI-AR components, Credit Management includes the following features:
Depending on your credit management needs, you can specify your own automatic credit checks based on a variety of criteria. You can also specify at which critical points in the sales and distribution cycle (for example, order entry, delivery, goods issue) the system carries out these checks.
During order processing, the credit representative automatically receives information about a customer’s critical credit situation.
Critical credit situations can also be automatically communicated to credit management personnel through internal electronic mail.
Your credit representatives are in a position to review the credit situation of a customer quickly and accurately and, according to your credit policy, decide whether or not to extend credit.
You can also work with Credit Management in distributed systems; for example if you were using centralized Financial Accounting and decentralized SD on several sales computers.
    Hope this helps you.
Do award points if you found them useful.
    Regards,
    Rakesh
P.S. you can send me a mail at my mail id [email protected] for any specific details

  • Default Incoterms & terms of payment - PO

    Hi Experts,
I have created the SC with prefered vendor, which will converted to fixed vendor later in SC using the doc change BADI.
But the issue is there when the SC is converted into PO after approval, not populated with default incoterms and terms of payment from vendor master.
However it is defaulting correctly when the PO is being created from the SC with contract and changing the vendor of the PO.
Can any one let me know the cause for this issue?

it is due to your logic 39 to 19 conversion logic
deactivate change badi and create sc you can see only 39 .

  • Terms of Payment in not installed language

    Hi experts
We only have installed language package DE and EN.
But now we would like to maintain terms of payment in Russian (only for print).
    Therefore I go to SPRO->Sales and Distribution->Master Data->Business partners->Customers->Billing Document->Define Terms of Payment->GotTo->Translation
After that I can select DE and EN, but not RU.
Is there a possibility to maintain terms of payment in Russian WITHOUT installing RU-language package?
Or maybe, there is a way to maintain the text-table TVZBT.
    Thx a lot in advance
    Christian

    Hi,
you can maintain entries in table TVZBT using transaction SM30 only if the "Data Browser/Table View Maint." value is set as Display/Maintenance allowed for the table (Check using transaction se11 --> Delivery and maintenance tab). You can change the value to "Display/Maintenance allowed" if you want to maintain entries using SM30. Make sure that you assign an authorization object so that the table entries can be added only by authorized persons.
If the above option is not feasible
Create a Z-table(Same as TVZBT) with fields Paymnet terms, language and description. Access this table through smartform to print the description in different language.
Make sure that the Z-table is updated while creating/changing any payment terms. By this way you can maintain any languages.
    Hope this solves your issue.
    Thanks
    Arun

    Hi,
Perhaps you can use the BADI 'ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST', but the field ZTERM is in MEPOHEADER, no in MEPOITEM (ie, no in EKPO). So, if in the same PO you have two materials with two terms of payments, I don't know how to do it.

  • Terms of Payment does not copy to PO in R/3

    Hi All,
We are using SRM 3.0 ECS, EBP4.0 and 4.6C R/3 versions.
We have set Terms of Payment (say for eg ZA00)for a Vendor in R/3 and replicated the vendor in EBP. Also maintained the Terms of Payment for the Vendor in SRM through Business Partner maintainance transaction. The maintained payment terms do get copied over to the PO in SRM, however this particular payment term does not flow to the PO in R/3.
We tried maintaining the Vendor with some other Terms of Payment (say for eg ZA01), this Terms of Payment flows to the PO in SRM as well as in R/3. Facing problem with some Terms of Payment.
Any pointers to solve this issue would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Francis

    Hello Francis,
why dont we try maintaining and updating the payement terms in R/3 centerally and the same are replicated and used in SRM or somehwere else?

  • Terms of payment - how to cover my business scenario

    Dear experts,
I am dealing with the following business scenario.
A Sales rep proposes to the client a term of payment made up od several partial amount; for example let assume 3 partial amounts.
The Rep proposes to the client a fixed date, representing the date of the first payment that the client has to do and the installments.
For instance, the client's first date of payment is 1st february and then 1st march and 1st april.
1st february is determined on the M/AM billling data set as 30 days after actual billing date
    Issue:
If the actual billing date is not equal to the planned billing date, the result is that the client has to pay the first partial amount in a  date different fronm the one agreed with the Rep.
Is there any way in SPRO in order to link the installment to other dates rather than to actual billing date? (i.e. planned billing date, custom date field)
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Kalyan,
...how to do automate start for a process in CE7.2...
Create a new message event trigger and a new service interface(WSDL) in the process composer and link the service interface to the event trigger. Now assign the event trigger to the start event of your process as message event.
On deployment, the EVENT TRIGGER you created is exposed as web service (can be verified in wsnavigator). Execute the web service to automatically start the process. You could have a web dynpro application to execute the web service on click of a button.

  • Terms of payment key in INVOIC01 Idoc

    Hi,
We are processing inbound INVOIC01 IDOC types to load suppliers invoices in SAP.
In the segment E1EDK01, the field ZTERM ( Terms of payment key ) is filled with a valid value. The problem is the invoice is created with blanks in that field, so the value of the IDOC is not transported to the invoice.
Does anyone have had a similar problem, and knows how can we solve this ?
Or does anyone has any idea of what may being heppening ? Like the need to use another segment of the IDOC or anothe issue(s) i may have attention to.

  • Reg:terms of payments

    Hi,
I am having a call regarding payment terms :
Actually  terms of payments will calculated on the billing date but the my issue is to calculate on the POD basis.
let me know it is possible in standard sap-sd or not,If yes can you give me a suggestion how to do that.
Ex:terms of payments: 02:if 15 days is due he will get 3% discount.
But my client is asking that there will be a loss during the transportation that's why if they conformed  on that time onwards it should be applicable.
They dont want to change the transit time and all.
    Reagrds,
    siva

    Hi siva,
As per your requirement, while maintaining condition record, in the additional data, we will find the additional val. days, that means the payment terms will be effective only after that specified val. days. Try it and revert back.
Hope this will resolve ur issue.
    regards,
    Ram.
