TEST Engineer- Virginia Beach, VA
Develops, maintains, and executes test plans and procedures using automated test environments in LabVIEW. Analyzes system requirements and reviews technical product/project specifications to assess and evaluate overall test and verification related requirements for the project. This may include complete product requirements such as Hardware, Firmware, Documentation, Licenses, etc.
Implements and maintains standards and procedures for testing; applies knowledge of industry/DOD standard best practices. Assists in the identification, analysis and documentation of issues, questionable functions, procedural problems, and inconsistencies, particularly related to verification and testing.
Interfaces with the project management, development and support teams to gather program information, understand project/program objectives, schedules, and constraints; participates in the development of test schedules and resource requirements, and communicates ongoing progress and status.
WORK PERFORMED:
Essential Functions:
•Developing ATE RF and characterization test solutions for highly integrated PA based modules.
•Developing test plans from device specifications.
•Implementing testing during device development and mass production.
•Contributing to manufacturing improvement efforts once a product is in mass production to achieve test time reduction, test quality improvements, yield enhancement, etc.
Additional Responsibilities:
1.Some travel required to support customer visits.
2.Other work as directed by Director of Engineering
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
•Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years experience test and automation experience.
Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years experience test and automation experience.
•Experience developing measurement technique and capability from DC-1.0 GHz.
•A strong background in hardware and software development/integration on ATE platforms in RF testing environments.
•Strong and recent experience with National Instruments LabVIEW and Test Stand.
•Experience in performing bench level measurements, correlation, and de-bugging.
•Excellent organization abilities as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
•Experience interfacing and controlling test instrumentation and equipment in automated test environments.
•Experience with defect tracking systems and general CM procedures.
•Working experience with project management tools such as Excel and MS Project.
•Strong interpersonal skills.
