  • Text message recovery

    I accidentally cleared a conversation in my text messages, is there any way to get them back? It's not a big deal to not have them back, but they are from a special person to me, and I would really like to have them back.
    Thanks for any future help.

    Unless you backed up the phone with the conversations there, you are in trouble. And, the only way to get them back if you did a backup is to restore the phone and use a backup. Otherwise, I'm unaware of any other way to recover SMS.

  • How do I recover a deleted text message?

    How do I recover a deleted converstaion?

    Hello! You can recover deleted SMS directly from iPhone 5/4S/4/3GS.
    If you've ever synced your iPhone with iTunes before, there is also another way: to recover from iTunes backup for all iPhones including iPhone 5 and iphone4S. You just need the help from an iPhone text message recovery tool.
    Tutorial 1: Directly recover deleted photos from iPhone 5/4S/4/3GS
    1:Connect your iPhone to the computer
    At first, please connect your iPhone to the computer and run the program after installing it.
    2:Enter your iPhone's system and scan it (iPhone 5/4S users can skip this step)
    After downloading the plug-in, you need to get into the device's scanning mode before scanning. You can follow the steps below:
    1)Hold your iPhone and click the "Start" button.
    2)Pressing the "Power" and "Home" buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds.
    3)After 10 seconds, release the "Power" button, but keep holding "Home" for another 15 seconds.
    3: Preview and recover iPhone messages
    When the scan is completed, choose "Messages" to preview the detailed content. Mark those you want and click "Recover" to save them on your compute with one click.
    Tutorial 2: Scan and extract iTunes backup to recover iPhone SMS
    1: Scan your iTunes backup for iPhone 5/4S/4/3GS
    After installing and running the program, move to "Recover from iTunes Backup File" and you'll get the interface as follows. All your iTunes backup files have been found and displayed. Choose the one for your iPhone and click the"Start Scan" button.
    2: Preview and recover iPhone SMS
    Only need to check the "Messages" option and hit the "Recover" to save all the messages on your computer.
    3:Do backup well

  • How Text Messages Are Stored on Palm Centro and possible recovery

    I come from an extensive IT and programming background with emphasise on databases.  I need some high level understanding of the text messaging system on a Plam Centro system with ATT.
    Questions are related to Recoverying Deleted Text Messages
    1.  Do all incoming and outgoing messages get written to the messages_database.pdf on a Plam Centro (ATT)?
    2.  When a message is deleted, would it be correct to say that the message is not physically deleted but just that a record pointer in the database (messages_database.pdb) is reset so the messages appears to be deleted?
    Why I ask, is that I see a many many requests for people (myself included) of wanting to recover deleted text messages. (i.e. my 16 daughter will not email now becuase we check email but she does text unknown people constantly and it makes it very hard to keep her safe).  When she syncs her phone with her computer, the messages_database.pdb file is in the backup directory and if you open it with a text editor (notepad.exe) you can see only messages that have not beeen deleted.  She usually deletes all her text messages.  There is A LOT of extra data that appears to be encrypted and is not readable.
    Is it possible that the text messages are there but just that the database record pointers hve been reset OR are Plam text messages written to RAM some how; although that does seem to be the case, since when you sync, the messages_database.pdb files has any and all messages that have not deleted.
    It woul be VERY valuable (and I think profitable) if someone very high level knowledge of the messages_database.pdb file could write a PC application that would alloow you to undelete the text messages.  I know there are programs out there that can do this on SIM cards on systems that write the text messages to the sSIM card, but it is my understanding that messages are not stored on the SIM card but in RAM.
    Can any high level technical Palm programmer shed some light on this for me and let me know if there is a way to recovery deleted Text Messages on a Palm Centro?
    Much Apreciated,
    Greg
    Post relates to: Centro (AT&T)

     I    had the same problem.
    1.Search for a program call filez.prc (give your address I can send you) copy it to a memorycard. btw [email protected]
    2. Copy it to the palm device(it works on any)  activate the program on the palm chk rom at the top and chk all message database and smstxt and also some have 0000behind em.  note the sizes as the older ones are larger and copy them to the card.
    3. to view em use microsoft word and use recover txt from any file I think it is called. You will be able to see detail but be careful as it sometime displays truncated or mixed but you will be able to see most txt clearly.

  • Phone is really slow with text messages

    hi, im new here and lookin for a little help. iv had the phone for a few months and now my curve freezes when i try to open a text message. also when i press send it freezes up. i dont have to restart it or anything but it takes about 7 seconds to regain itself. this only happens with text messages. emails work fine, facebook notifications work fine. i send and receive quite a bit of texts, emails, and facebook notifications and i have 14 applications. i did the update/ recovery& reboot thing on my computer. i have wifi preferred as my connection preference and tmobile is my mobile network. any tips? or do i have to just live with this?
    EDIT: i searched around on the forum a little bit and resolved the issue. i didnt know that it was only happening when i texted one person because i mostly only text this one person. but i guess i had to go to my phone book and text this person thru that instead of just replying. after that i can open and reply with no problem. sorry for takin up space on the forum. im new lol

    Sometimes I think I don't get told about a message until I unlock my phone and when I do I get a notification and a text tone as I unlock and it can be off a conversation I was having 10/15 minutes ago.

    You need to reconfigure your phone for use with your Apple ID. I suggest you restore yours as new then reconfigure it with your information and Apple ID. Be sure to disable Find My Phone, if it's enabled, before proceeding.

    You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
    You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

  • Firmware Upgrade - OLD Text Messages/Photos Appearing BEFORE I Text

    I recently went through the Thunderbolt Firmware Upgrade. All is well EXCEPT when I go to answer a text message. BEFORE I start typing, old messages and photos that I had sent to a totally different recipient months ago, are already entered into the response text box. I have to back out (back space) to get rid of text or I have to delete an arbitrary photo which was AUTOMAGICALLY inserted for me!
    Not only does this waste my time, it can be very confusing! I could also inadvertently send private photos or private texts which were meant and sent to someone else MONTHS ago, to someone they were never intended for....!
    Anyone else have their text messaging being hijacked by the operating system since the recent firmware upgrade??
    Not sure who is responsible for the fix on this but, from what I see on this forum, I am lucky by comparison, to the other issues being experienced by those who updated their firmware (2/11/2013) when Verizon forced it onto us.
    THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED! Does no one BETA TEST these upgrades before they are forced upon us?

        Hi Loonlady!
    I understand your concern w/your messaging! I use messaging all the time and would not be happy either. I have some troubleshooting steps for you. Please give it a try and keep me posted:

    NOTE: Be sure that Wipe cache partition is highlighted. Do not choose Wipe data/factory reset as this will result in loss of data!
    7. Press the Power button to select the option
    8. When the process, is complete, ensure that Reboot system now option is highlighted.
    9. Press the Power button to select the option and reboot the device into the OS.

  • How to retrieve text messages that I mistakenly deleted??(Please help!!)

    I've had the Verizon VX8300 for 3 years since 2007 and I have upgraded to the HTC Incredible Droid and received it as a Christmas gift on Christmas morning. When my dad was disconnecting the old phone, I figured that it would be automatically transferable because everything else transferred like my contacts, voice messages, pics, etc. I was looking through old texts and accidentally deleted all of my texts that I've kept for souvenir and they were very memorable and special to me from friends/family. Now I was wondering if there's anyway I can get this data back whether it's getting a printout or using an online free trial of a text message retriever like Asfotech, Bitpim, or Wondershare Data Recovery. I've went to 3 different Verizon stores and none were helpful and didn't even bother looking at my old phone.
    PS: I know you need like a court order or a subpoena but that is extremely silly and unnecessary because would I honestly need a court order just to retrieve harmless innocent messages like "What's Up?" or "How's it going, man?". Someone said that Verizon archives the messages and it's my privacy so I should have the right to get a printout of MY messages and it would be so messed up if Verizon wouldn't let someone look at their OWN text messages on their OWN phone if they deleted them on accident. It's not like they would be invading my privacy anyways all they would need to do is print them out without looking at them. I have nothing to hide anyways so it wouldn't be a big deal to me.

    I understand what you are saying but whats to say for example the account owner (a parent) decided to have all the messages retrieved for them of their child who is on the account??? Verizon has NO IDEA if that person is their child, relation, boyfriend, employee..... That is why court orders are necessary.
    But in your case unless the messages you want are from the last 6-10 days, they are (as Ernie Harwell used to say) "LONG GONE" from Verizon's servers.
    I know the feeling of losing texts you planned to keep. A few months ago, I was playing with force closing apps and in doing so deleted a bunch I was keeping. That is why I found an app to sand messages to an email address also.

  • Print out of text message history!

    Hey guys,
    Does anyone know how i can get a print out of my entire text message history for one conversation on my iphone 4.  I know it is in the phone because i can view it bit by bit if i continue to scroll and hit "view previous messages" but i am in the middle of a legal thing and i desperately need a print out of the history of this one conversation.  There has to be a computer genius out there than can help me.  There must be a way to export it to my macbook or my email or something.  Please if you know anything i would be so grateful.  Thank you!

    Two Methods:
    1. You can put the text messages on your screen like your reading it.. press the lock button and the home button at the same time.. it will take a picture of it and be saved to your photo album.. then upload it to your computer or email it to yourself..it won't be a document but it will be a picture and that's something.
    2. use iPhone backp extractor app:
    First backup your iPhone to your computer with iTunes, all text messages, contacts will be included in the backp file, but it is an unreadable format, you have to extract them to your computer for print.

  • Recovering Text Messages

    After a passcode lockup, and ultimately a complete wipe off and recovery, how can I access old text messages?  When I did a sync after the recovery (I did a back up prior to the wipe) it didn't put those on the phone.
    Thank you for your help!

    Did you try restoring from the backup?

  • I have an iPhone 3G. I'm trying to find out how to retrieve accidentally deleted text messages on my phone. Is this possible?

    I have an iPhone 3G.  I need to know how to retrieve accidentally deleted text messages.  Is that possible?  Please say yes!  Thanks

    Myself and my girlfriend use the decipher textmessage program. She's on windows and I use the version for my macbook pro. It works cool and lets you save your text messages from your iphone to your computer. I've actually recovered a few deleted messages with it too which was helpful since I'm a laywer and needed them for work. Their site is:

    Good luck! Hope you and your family are able to recover your sms messages!

  • Dequeue a text message

    Hello everyone,
    DB version : 11.2.0.1.0
    I'm able to add a text message on an AQ queue, but I'm not able to dequeue it from java.
    When I run the dequeue method, it waits ... it doesn't get any message in, even if new messages are being put on the queue.
    What am I missing ?
    Creation of the AQ queue:
    EXEC DBMS_AQADM.STOP_QUEUE('textmessage_queue');
    EXEC DBMS_AQADM.DROP_QUEUE('textmessage_queue');
    EXEC DBMS_AQADM.DROP_QUEUE_TABLE('queue_textmessage_table');
    EXEC DBMS_AQADM.CREATE_QUEUE_TABLE (queue_table => 'queue_textmessage_table', queue_payload_type => 'SYS.AQ$_JMS_TEXT_MESSAGE', multiple_consumers => false);
    EXEC DBMS_AQADM.CREATE_QUEUE (queue_name => 'textmessage_queue', queue_table => 'queue_textmessage_table');
    EXEC DBMS_AQADM.START_QUEUE (queue_name => 'textmessage_queue');The createJMSClient(); used by the enqueue and dequeue methods
        private JMSTopic createJMSClient() {
            JMSTopic aq = new JMSTopic();
            try {
                TopicConnectionFactory topicConnectionFactory = null;
                // Get topic connection factory
                Properties info = new Properties();
                info.put(userName, userPassword);
                topicConnectionFactory = AQjmsFactory.getTopicConnectionFactory(connectString, info);
                // Creates an AQ topic connection and session
                aq.connection = topicConnectionFactory.createTopicConnection(userName, userPassword);
                // If a session is transacted, message acknowledgment is handled automatically
                //   by commit and recovery is handled automatically by rollback
                aq.session = aq.connection.createTopicSession(true, // Session is transacted
                            Session.CLIENT_ACKNOWLEDGE); // Acknowledges by commit and rollback
                System.out.println("Successfully created AQ session");
            } catch (Exception ex) {
                System.err.println("AQApplication.createJMS(): " + ex.getMessage());
                System.err.println("user = " + userName + ", password = " + userPassword + ", destination = " +
                                   connectString);
                ex.printStackTrace();
            return aq;
        }Java code to enqueue a text message
            JMSTopic client = myMessage.createJMSClient();
            AQjmsSession aqjmssession = (AQjmsSession) client.session;
            AQjmsDestination destination = (AQjmsDestination)aqjmssession.getQueue(myMessage.DB_AQ_ADMIN_NAME, "textmessage_queue");
            TextMessage createTextMessage = aqjmssession.createTextMessage("This is my first text message");
            MessageProducer producer = aqjmssession.createProducer(destination);
            producer.send(createTextMessage);
            aqjmssession.commit();Java code to dequeue a text message
            JMSTopic client = myMessage.createJMSClient();
            AQjmsSession aqjmssession = (AQjmsSession)client.session;
            AQjmsDestination destination =
                (AQjmsDestination)aqjmssession.getQueue(myMessage.DB_AQ_ADMIN_NAME, "textmessage_queue");
            MessageConsumer consumer = client.session.createConsumer(destination);
            System.out.println("Waiting for a message ...");
            Message message = consumer.receive();
            System.out.println("Message received !!");

    You have to start the connection (aq.connection) to receive the message. This is not required for enqueue, but required for dequeue.

    surely you backup on a regular basis or at the very least backup prior to updating your software.

  • How can I recover my deleted text messages

    I need to recover some messages that I accidentally deleted

    What can you do to recover deleted text messages from iPhone?
    Step 1: Select Your iPhone Backup File and Scan
    Launch the Coolmuster Data Recovery for iPhone/iPad/iPod program which you've installed on your Mac, then it will automatically scan the latest iPhone, iPad or iPod backup file on your local disk and display one by one as below picture shows. Just choose your iPhone and hit "Start Scan" button to start scanning for files on Mac.
    Step 2: Preview and Find Target Files
    After the scanning, all your iPhone files will be found and divided into different catogories. Here, you can click "Messages" option in the left panel and find your deleted text messages one by one.
    Step 3: Begin to Recover
    Once all things have been done, you can click "Recover" to restore deleted text messages from iPhone on Mac. Here, a pop-up window will appear to require you to set the output folder.

    Help! I have an iPhone 4s, I accidentally deleted a text message and my phone is not synced. How do I retrieve it?

    You can not retrieve a deleted message that was not synced.
    There are data recovery services that "may" be able to retrieve the message.
    These recovery services can cost $1000 or more though.
