The authorization of sales order in VA01

I searched in the forum, but I did not find my answer
I want to authorise 1 user, to create sales order (Va01) for only 1 sales group (sales group: A01).
Please explain me all the steps to be required.

Dear tense
If the user id is different based on sales group, then through basis, you can control giving authorization of VA01. If the user id is common irrespective of sales group, then you have to apply shd0 screen variant.

How to identify the sales group object is been used in how many queries?

I happened to check the where used list for the info object sales group and it shows me the cube and ods, multi provider etc.
Is there other way in which i can see the list of queires which are using this info objects in the query ?

Hi all,
for a project activities sales group need to have authorization object? but if they make the object authorized and moved to production, all the other 1000 users gets effected to this changes since they dont have access to it.
Can anyone let me know how to handle this?
let me explain in detail,
there are different markets like india, china, hongkong , south east asia,
for a particular project, only south east asia people needs to have authorization on sales group . but there are 500 users in south east asia, so once changes is moved it will affect the existing users too?
So can anyone advise me how to handle this?

Create roles as per authorization you have to give to users.
Create user groups - for different users depending on the countries where they belong - as you mentioned users belong to India,
China,
Hongknog,
South east asia
Eg, Create 1 role and give auth object for south east asia users. If you want to give particular authorization to 1 user only from among 500 users. create 2 roles with different authorizations and assign accordingly.

Restriction of sales group for users

Hello,
I need to restrict the sales group to different user using VA05,I tried so many ways but i am able
to see the others data.
We already created one authorization object and assigned in role.But we are not able to restrict
the users.
In our scenario the user named like dealers. one dealer can see the other dealers data.
Please guide how to restrict the users at sales group.

What I understand from your post is that you want to restrict the users to view the list of sales order - report using VA05 just for their sales group and not for others, as in your case your dealers are your end users and you want each dealer to be able to view for only his sales orders and not that have been issued to other dealers. Is that correct?
You have created a custom object using field VKGRP on the basis of which you want to restrict the report. The object has to be defined in the standard program for VA05 for authority check and then included in the role. In this case you may have to create one role for each user or group of users for each sales group.

Authorization in sales + distribution

Hi Experts,
I have to divide the authorization for different reports in SD, for example VA05, VA15, VA45, MCSI. The criteria is "sales group" (VKGRP). I didn't find a suitable authorization object to handle this requirement.
Is there a way to solve this problem?

In our systems VA05 checks only for V_VBAK_AAT and for V_VBAK_VKO, a check for V_VBKA_VKO is not provided in VA05, but V_VBKA_VKO is the only object, that contains a check for VKGRP (Sales group). I think that i can only solve this problem by creating a new sales area or a separate sales organization.

Sale group is automatically changing

Hi Friends
we hav defined plant for delhi (i.e) UDEL and sale groups D01 and D02 and also defined sales office also and assigned also
we defined new customer(1000) with delivery plant UDEL and sale group D01 and material also defined with delivery plant UDEL.. now we hav created new sale order with the defiend customer and material, then in sale order system is getting sales group as DO1and we saved sales order with out creating delivery
now issue is when we open sale order through va02 screen sale group is automatically changing as D02 with out any one changing. how it is possiblbe?
can any tell how sale group is changing automatically in sale order with out any one changing? how to solve this?

Hi Friend,
Check the assignment of Sales group to the sales office in the ENTERPRISE STRCTRE--->ASSIGNMENT
Path: IMG->ENTERPRISE STRUCTRE->ASSIGNMENT->SALES ORGANISATION->ASSIGN SALES GROUP TO SALES OFFICE.Make sure the same sales office was entered during the sales order creation also.
May be the issue with having dual sales office and sales group creation.
Please revert if further clarification is needed.

A sales office establishes contact between the firm and the regional market.
sales group
A organizational unit that performs and is responsible for sales transactions.
sales district
A geographical sales district or sales region.
You can assign customers to a sales district and use the sales district to generate sales statistics.

I have some problem withs the authorization about the web dynpro for abap.Please give me some advices.
For example: In my web dynpro abap,i have two tabs,one is "upload",anthor is "preview".Now there are two users,
in this example ,i assume user A and user B.If user A have the authorization of "Upload",and the user B have "Preview".
Now how can i solve the problem ? If i do not want to use the code to implement it , is there any solution for it ? Thank you ~

Hi,
There are many ways to achieve this, but without code changes I guess this would be the easiest route:
Create 2 application configurations: one with Upload button Hidden and other with Preview Button Hidden.
Now to run you application you have 2 URL's by vritue of 2 application configurations.
Give the appropriate URL to required set of people.

1 Sold To 5 Ship To Multiple Sales Groups

Hi all,
Currently some of our customers in SAP are configured as such: 5 ship-to customers with 1 sold to customer and 1 sales group .
We would like to change the setting to: 5 ship-to customers with 5 sales groups
And we would like to make sure that past data is also adjusted according to the setting change.
How can I do this?

In t.code OVX4, maintain the new 5 sales group and in t.code OVXJ assign the sales groups to sales office. Then in the customer master (t.code XD02) ->sales area data ->sales tab, maintain the correct sales group for each ship-to numbers. If you have many customers to update then you can use t.code MASS (object KNA1) to update the field. If you want to update in the open sales order, then also you can use MASS (with object BUS2032).

I am developin a quotation form. This will be eventually approved by a person in senior management. This person is dependant upon which sales group he belongs to. Any one have got idea which table in HR stores the information which sales group an employee belongs to???

I guess SAP has not delivered attributes and attribute datasource for 0SALES_GRP. May be it is a custom datasource for you. Check the datasource. If it is a custom one, goto transaction RSO2 and check the source for the fields.

Changing description of Sales Group

Hi,
I am working for Japanese Client and it was a very small requirement to change the description of Sales group. I made the required changes. The changes have been moved into Quality system. But when I log on in Japanese into the Quality system I cannot find the description of sales group changed!
Is it related to the Transport request? Cant figure out what is the problem!

Hi,
Did you make the changes to the config while signed on with the japanese language?
The table entries are language specific and so if you want to change the description always do it when you are logged in with the language to be changed.
This is why you will occasionally see blank descriptions for certain settings that have the description as mandatory. They have a description but it was entered when the user was logged in with a different language.
Try logging in with the language you used to make the change and see if the changed description is there.

User management API/get all the users for a group

Hi all,
I'm trying to get all the users and their associated groups with the user management API. The method DirectoryManagerServiceClient.findGroupMembers(GroupMembershipSearchFilter)
returns all the users, great, but not the associated groups.
TO get the users i use the oid of a "super group" and this "super group" contains severals groups. It's the information about these groups i need.
I have read in the documentation of Principal Object that a search could omit
the group informations for efficiency. How can i bypass this limitation?

LookupGroup takes a group name or id, and returns a list of all members. I'm pretty sure it recursively evaluates contained groups, but you'll need to check. If it doesn't, log a bug to support-at-avoka.com.
