Hi, I've used four different Groups when emailing for the past few years, and suddenly they have stopped working. I've tried creating new Groups but that doesn't work either. I haven't changed or done anything different and it is driving me mad......can anyone help, please?!

    Thanks for that information!
I'm sure I will be calling AppleCare, but the problem is, they charge for the phone calls don't they? Because I don't have money to be spending to be on the phone with a support service.
In other things, it seemed like the only time my MacBook was working was when I had Snow Leopard without the 10.6.8 update download that was supposed to be done to prepare for OS X Lion.
When I look at the information of my HD it says that I have 10.6.8 but that was the install that it claimed to have failed and caused me to restart resulting in all of the repeated problems.
Also, because my computer is currently down, and I've lost all files how would that effect the use of my iPhone? Because if it doesn't get fixed by the time OS 5 is released, how would I be able to upgrade?!

  • I just updated to the newest software and all my apps were deleted.  I have tried syncing on itunes but it doesn't work.  Help!

I just updated to the newest software and all my apps were deleted.  I have tried syncing on itunes but it doesn't work.  Help!

Try ReSynching to iTunes.  If you set up sync to the cloud, turn that off, resync to your PC.  That should bring them back.  You can then turn on sync to cloud again.
You may, however, want to re-think that.  There is a lot of chatter about the cloud being the source of some if not many of the battery issues.  Personally, I decided to rurn the cloud off until the Battery-gate issue is resolved.
    Good Luck.

  • Hİ My ipad's screen is black. When it  take charge, I can hear sound but still black. I press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds but this doesn't work. Screen still black! PLS HELP ME!

My ipad's screen is black. When it  take charge, I can hear sound but still black. I press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds but this doesn't work. Screen still black! PLS HELP ME!

How long did you let it charge? It may take 30 minutes before the iPad responds when the battery is completely drained. Let it charge for at least 30 minute using the wall charger. Then rest the iPad. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.
If the iPad restarts let it continue to charge until the battery is 100%.
If the iPad still does not start make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

  • On any page that I have to log in Firefox stops responding and has to shut down. I've tried resetting it and it still doesn't work.

I've been having this problem for a while now and I can't seem to fix it. Any time I log into any page, Firefox says not responding and I have to restart it. I have to run all of firefox in safe mode if I log out of my email or facebook. I've tried resetting FF and it still doesn't work.

''' "I have to run all of firefox in safe mode if I log out of my email or facebook. " '''
Please explain what you mean by '''all of firefox'''. You're either running in the Firefox SafeMode or you're not. There's no "all" or partial SafeMode.
    Please see this: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

  • My iphone5 has a keypad issue of getting stuck and blinking of display the phone doesn't work until it's turned off and turned on

my iphone5 has keypad issue which is getting stuck and the display starts blinking the phone doesn't respond until it's turned off n switched on what might be the solution ???

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

  • How do I get the old iphones information to my new iphone? i have tried to synk it but it doesn't work

my other iphone didn't work, so i got a new one. before i got the new phone i saved all the information, and when you then put the new iphone into itunes it should be asking you "do you want to update this to eg. "david's iphone"?" but it didn't ask that. so now all the information are gone and the iphone is empty... what should i do now?

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2109
Everything should be on your computer.  Just sync it to the iphone as you did with the other.

  • I just updated to the new IOS 7.1, and my keyboard is frozen. I can't type anything and it does come up, but ten minutes later. i tried resetting my settings, but that didn't work either. Help??? i can't do anything on my phone that includes typing

This has been going on for a while. Its annoying, does anyone know how to solve this? Do i have to go to the genius bar?

have you restarted the iPhone? if not, press and hold both the sleep and home button until screen goes black and apple logo come up, then release them. Let me know if that helped.

  • I have a 3GS which I purchased from the Apple Store in the UK (unlocked) without a contract. I now want to use it when on holiday in Australia. I have tried a Vodaphone sim but it doesn't work. Vodaphone in Aus say it should work as all sims the same.

The Vodaphone store in Australia says there is no difference between a sim for an iPhone to any other phone. But it still doesn't recognise the sim. Is it because sims in the UK are different for iPhones than android phones? It seems rather unfair that I can't use the phone that I purchased unlocked in the UK in another country. I also have a 4S which I was using to keep my UK sim in while in Australia. That was also purchased unlocked from the Apple Store. I haven't tried it but would it be any different?

If your phone is officially unlocked, it should work fine on any supported carrier's network. Are you getting any error messages when you insert the sim?

  • I own a iPod touch 4g and the volume bar has suddenly disappeared its not there I can neither turn my volume up or down. I've tried restarting my iPod but that doesn't work it's completely vanished and the iPod acts as if it never existed

It also doesn't appear when I'm watching videos or listening to music

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • IPhone crashes repeatedly since upgrading to iOS 6.0.1. Has anyone heard of a way to fix this? I have tried all remedies (rebooting, resetting, restoring, everything) but none of it works. Also, when I'm syncing, syncing stops unexpectedly.

My crash reports show low memeory for most of them, but the phone is crashing even with no background apps running. I could be replying/reading a text message and it will turn to a black screen then return to homescreen. It does this no matter what app I'm running. All this started after the upgrade (I have an iPhone 4) and I'm having problems with the appletv as well since I upgraded that too.
Here's one of the crash reports I got on the phone:

I've also had the same issues, after upgrading to IOS 6.0, the apps in my iPhone 4 were crashing and the battery life run out very fast.
The only solution worked for me was to remove all mail accounts (Exchange/Gmail) from my iPhone (in settings) and then add them back.
The crashing were stopped! also the battery was back to normal.
I found the solution by first looking at the crash logs (in IOS 6). you can find them at Settings -> General -> About (at the bottom of the About menu you will find the option that opens the logs).
There i saw many logs about Low Memory crash. 99% of the logs were pointed that the largest process (use the most memory) during the crashes is "dataaccessd".
I search in the web and found that this process is a deamon process that reponsible the Mail accounts (like Exchange/Gmail) and contancts list.
I've installed the app "System Status - activity monitor" which shows important system info like CPU usage, Memory usage and running processes.
Before apply my solution (deleting the mail accounts) i saw that the CPU usage was very high which consume the battery very fast. Also i saw that the memory (RAM) was run out.. which probably what cause the crashing..
After deleting the mail accounts (at Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars) i check again with the System Status app, and saw that the memory and CPU were back to normal.
Adding the mail accounts back, still everything work ok
Hope this solution will help you too,
    Enjoy!

Try repairing disk permissions in Disk Utility (it should be in the Utilities folder in Applications) : https://discussions.apple.com/message/23478840
If that doesn't fix it then try the suggestion three posts further down that thread by the same user (wmark), that appear to have worked for some people
