The Full Screen icon does not appear in Firefox 16.0.2 on Mac OS 10.6.8, and command+shift+F does not close the full screen view.
I accidentally entered full screen view and was unable to exit. The Firefox Help article at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-make-firefox-and-websites-go-full-screen?esab=a&s=full+screen+mac&r=0&as=s says I should see a Full Screen View icon in the upper right-hand corner of the Firefox window. That icon not there. I cannot find it. It does not appear in either the full screen or non-full screen views.
Further, the Help article's advice to exit full screen view by using the keyboard sequence command+shift+F does not work. I had to unplug my iMac and reboot. Firefox then opened in non-full screen view.
Ideally, hitting the Escape key would cause Firefox to exit full screen view.
I forgot one detail. This happened while I was having trouble seeing the mouse cursor (I use Apple's Magic Mouse). It had disappeared briefly. I had to drag the cursor out of the Firefox Window for it to reappear. I accidentally entered full screen view while the cursor was not visible.

If there are problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

I click on the firefox icon, a 'taskbar' tab appears, but nothing happens and I cannot open it. If I then click again on the icon or on the desktop icon, it works! Everything worked fine till this morning!
Running WinXP SP4.A few general trouble shooting tips that may apply here:
1. If you used Software Update to do the OS update(s) to reach 10.6.7, go to http://support.apple.com/downloads/ and download and apply the Mac OS v10.6.7 Combo Updater. The Combo Updater contains some fixes that were not included in the incremental updaters used by Software Update.
1a. Check that you have the current version of Pages (and of the other iWork applications) installed. All three applications' current version numbers end in .0.5
2. A common cause of malfunctioning applications is a corrupted preferences file (.plist file). Your Pages '09's plist is at yourname > Library > Preferences > com.apple.iWork.pages.plist
Quit Pages, locate the file and Drag it to the Desktop (or to the Trash).
Restart Pages and attempt to open one of the files.
If all is well, Trash the plist file and empty the Trash.
If there's no change, AND you've made changes to the Preferences that you wish to keep, drag the file back to its previous location, replacing any new one that has been created.

The site icon does not appear in Firefox
I am developing a site (http://www.londonglamourphotoshoot.co.uk/index.html) but the site icon (the little icon that appears next to the site title in the tab label) does not appear in Firefox. It appears in Internet Explorer and Chrome, but for some reason, Firefox ignores it while it shows the icons of other sites perfectly.
If I show the source code of the page and then click in the hiperlink of the icon, then the icon loads as an image, so it is the correct link (and as I said, IE and Chrome display it)
Here is the line Muse generates:

(I don't know the reason of the question mark and the number after the icon URL, but this is as Muse writes it)
I load the icon in the properties window of the master page only so it is inherited by all other pages of the site.I doubt it. The filename of the original file is just favicon.png and it was loaded in the generic site properties (not in a master page or in the individual pages). The question mark and number are part of the code generation process by Muse. What's more, Windows would not allow me to name a file with a question mark, it is a forbidden character, but in an URL it means additional arguments or something like that if I'm not mistaken. .

Drag and drop not working. When trying to move a cell or icon the shadow of the cell or icon being moved appears under the cursor but can't be released causing a freeze of function within the program. Happens in finder numbers, firefox, and when trying to move any file from the downloads folder.
This is a serious pain.
Please help.

After waiting 27 minutes while the new iTunes supposedly downloaded onto my computer, the Finder window did not appear, and the iTunes.mpkg icon didn't appear on my desktop (where downloads usually go). I also looked for the new iTunes by clicking on my Hard Drive icon but didn't see it there either. I only see the icon for the old iTunes. What do I do?
The exclamation mark means that the app has lost the link to the actual file.
First step: try and make sure the iPhoto Library is working correctly:
Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always. -
Lightroom 5 file edited in photoshop cc 2014 does not appear back next to original after save. Is anyone else having this issue? If so what is the fix. The edited image appears back in lightroom in a new folder.
I'm performing a normal "Save", not "Save As". Work flow I'm using is as follows: Select photo in Lightroom 5.7 >" Edit In" Photoshop CC 2014 > (after working on photo is PS) > Save > close PS. Photo returns to Lightroom 5.7 in a new folder rather than next to the original. Prior to purchasing the monthly plan and upgrading to PS CC 2014, I performed this same work flow using Lightroom 5.6 and Photoshop CS6 without any issues.
Just for fun... I attempted to move the edited file back into the original folder. I received a prompt that said the file already existed in the original folder, however I can't see it except the new folder that LR created. I tried several different sort orders, etc without any success.
*** Follow up: Was unable to resolve the issue using Photoshop CC 2014. Uninstalled PS CC 2014 and went back to using Photoshop CS6. Return trips from LR 5.7 to Photoshop is now performing as it should: returning edited photo back to the original folder in LR 5 and placing next to the original image.
Should anyone have a suggestion on getting Photoshop CC 2014 to do the same, I would love to be educated.

MAC OSX 10.5.8 and 2TB Time Machine would not back up. Saw discussion that suggested you change name without apostrophes etc. Went into Time Machine and did a manula backup without a name and it appears to be backing up now. Does this remove delete the old backup's ?

The outgoing call icon has just appeared in the menu bar at the top of the screen (next to the wifi icon) on my iPhone 5 and no matter what i do i cant seem to get rid of it.
I have rebooted and and cleared all running apps and still on luck.
The phone still works ok and i can make and receive calls.... any ideas on how to get rid of it?

Are you looking at the tabs on the right-hand side of iTunes when you've connected and selected your device on the left-hand side of iTunes ? i.e. it should be one of the tabs that you use to chose what content to sync to the device : syncing photos

I recenly updated to IOS6. I have a couple issues after the process.
1- I lost all my calendar entries after the date I upgraded to IOS6 (all before the date were there). I created an icloud account to assure that I would not lose any going forward. Now when I enter a calendar entry, it does not appear on my icloud account. I can enter it in icloud and it will appear on my phone, but not the reverse.
2 - None of my notes transferred into icloud. I tried to manually enter one on icloud, again so I wouldn't lose this information going forward, and it appears on my iphone twice. I cannot figure out how to get the notes currently on my iphone into my icloud account.you need to do a backup of the old phone and then on your new phone restore from that backup

My av adaptor does not work. Tried to plug my ipad into my samsung hd tv and ipad said it does not support that accessory...help
What ipad, which model samsung? Are you attempting HDMI, VGA, or an RGB connection. Ipad 2 supports mirroring into an HDMI at an output of 1080. Ipad 1 is limited to only a few apps capable of the output, such as Youtube.
page64,65 of the latest ipad manual has more details.
Samsungs are good and should switch with the input - but sometimes you will have to select from the menu manually.
If in doubt, contact the customer support at samsung UK.
Also check - Settings/Video, that you have it enabled for Home Sharing. Apple Id which will be your .me.com email plus your apple ID password. I am not too sure about this as I cannot remember the exact order I set things up in - but page 89 of the manual references Home Sharing for sharing ipad/itunes content on a home pc/mac - so I would think it applies to content relayed to a tv or monitor too. -

Thanks for responding, however the problem is they are not on my computer. I bought them using my itunes account on my phone and I want them on my computer. When I purchase music like this, the computer checks for downloads and then voila, they are added to my library. I want to do the same thing with my audiobooks, since my Imac has bigger speakers
