The iTune Remote App has stopped finding my iTunes library when connected to wifi from my main router, but works fine when connected via second wifi router on the same network (different SSID)
I'm running iTunes Remote App from a couple of iPhone 5's and a first generation iPod Touch. iTunes is running on a PC - Windows 7. My home network runs two Wifi Routers, each with a different SSID. I've had no problems with the Remote app running this set up for the last 8 months but recently the App can only find my iTunes library when the iPhone/iPod is connected via one specific router, when connected to the network via the other router, no iTunes library is found. I'm also running an Apple TV and it's the same as the iTunes Library, only visible via the one SSID.
Everything else seems to work fine when connected via either router, eg Internet on the iPhones (definitely via wifi)
I've tried renewing the lease on the iPhone wifi connection, restarting everything.....several times.....
It used to work fine, this only seems to have been a problem in recent weeks

It turned out to be the firewall settings on our router. Her machine was sending traffic that our router interpreted as a DoS attack and blacklisted her Airport's MAC address. That's why it would work fine if she switched to Ethernet.

Keynote remote app has stopped working over Bluetooth
I've been using the keynote remote app on my iPod touch to control presentations in my classroom for weeks. Then a couple days ago, I could no longer link to keynote over Bluetooth. I've tried everything; even reset my iPod.
I can link to my Macbook from my iPod over bluetooth fine, but when I try to actually link to it in Keynote, I get nothing. Connecting over Wifi isn't a good option.Found the problem. The iPad was connecting to my guest network rather than my main network as it is supposed to.

In the last few days the OneNote web app has stopped working, no diagnostic info, just does nothing.
I have a M/S OneNote public file on SkyDrive. I can no longer access this from my PC, the OneNote web app appears not to work any longer. It worked fine for weeks. There is no diagnostic information, it just hangs. I can access the file from my iPad.
I can access the file from M/S internet explorer on my PC.. So it looks like some problem between Firefox and the OneNote web app. The problem was there on FF25 it is still there on FF26

Ever since i downloaded OSX Mountain Lion, Express VPN no longer works properly for me. Even though it says I am connected, webpages refuse to load. However, connection speed is fine when its turned off. I cannot go on many websites without the VPN. My current location is Shanghai, China. OSX Mountain was installed this morning and everything worked fine until then. Is Express VPN not supported? What do i need to do in order to get it working again on my Macbook Pro (early 2011). I am having the same issue listed above on my new Mac Mini i just bought, I also contacted Express VPN support and got the same instructions with exception of the command to run in the utilities terminal. I tried the steps listed, and both commands (posted here, and sent to me directly by Express VPN support), and still unable to connect on my Mac Mini running OS X 10.8.2, but I am able to connect on my iPad and my MacBook which is running Mac OS X 10.6.8. Usually Express VPN is spot on with their customer support, but this is taking longer to get resolved. Here is the steps sent to me

5. Press enter and then try reconnecting to the VPN.

Hi,
I have created a blog site with the available site template few days back. Now we have the requirement of having the attachments in the body of the comments section.
So, I updated the schema.xml of the comments list available under ../templates/blog/lists/comments/schema.xml to have rich text for the Body field.
With this change, I created a new site and it was working fine. Change is reflected in the new blog site.
However, this particular change is not reflected in the existing blog site. Any changes made to the schema.xml is not effecting the old blog site.
Can anyone suggest what can be done for the change to be reflected in the old blog site?

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to add attachments in the body of the comments section.
You can add the the Code inside the Default list pages. For more information, you can refer to:
Enable Attachment in SharePoint Blog post list and display the list Attachments
In addition, you can add an enhanced rich text field to the comment list and remove the body field. Then you can insert files into comments, too.

Query filtering rows in the ViewObject but works fine when run in sql

The below query returns 8 rows when run in SQL Plus but the same query when used in the viewobject, its only returning 4 rows. I tried in all possible ways but not sure what's happening.

Recently my alarm hasn't been going off on my phone when it is plugged into the charger. This is a problem as i have work most mornings and have been late. When it is not plugged in the alarm works. I know it would mae sense to charge it before i go to sleep, take it off the charger, set the alarm then wake up but was just wondering if there was any reason why I might be experiencing this issue?

when did this happen? if it just happened, then something probably went wrong with either the software or the hardware
do charge the proper way, and see if it happens again
or try completely draining the battery, and charge it to 100% and see if its gonna solve the issue with the alarm -
Tell me if I am wrong, but it seems to me that the "Up next" feature makes a mess out of controlling what the heck is played through the Apple TV using the iOS remote app. The whole thing seem uber-anti-intuitive. I am a long time user (as much and anyone is long time for any of this stuff) of the iOS remote app, and ATV to play music though a stereo system. Up to a couple of weeks ago, I could sit in my chair, start the iPhone remote app, pick a playlist and either start from the beginning, or if the first track didn't grab me at that moment, go ahead and switch to, say, track 6 -- the whole playlist would "sit there" and be available for further browsing. With the new system, if I hit a playlist the songs will go into "Up Next". If as I described in the last sentence, the first song is not getting it for me, and I switch to track 6 , the "Up Next" list is lopped off and only tracks 7 onward will be shown. I can't go back and browse the first 5 tracks (6 actually) -- they're vaporized. The idea of browsing your own music has been killed; I guess this "Up Next" concept is for folks who like maybe a couple of dozen songs that are picked from different places and want to play them in different orders of something -- it just seems like a crummy idea. If under the scenario I described I want to go back and play that first (or second through fifth) song on the original playlist, I have to go out and fish it out of the library somehow and just keep messing around and around. There have been times when I didn't know what the heck was going to come out of the speakers. It seems like the remote user has not been considered in the "dramatically improved" iTunes 11", with the "cleaner user interface" . To me it is "dramatically akin to dog-doo", which, of course is not cleaner than much of anything. If I can't get this working decently, then I'm really thinking of investigating some other type of system like DLNA. Any suggestions?

Print driver host for 32 bit app has stopped working
Using Windows 7 64 bit. The printer is an HP Laser 1200. The 64 bit driver for the printer would not work, so I switched to the hp 2200 64 bit driver and the customer was able to print out of his CAD program and Excel.
However Adobe Reader is a different matter. He got the message "print driver for the 32 bit app has stopped working" and printed out 3 blank pages. Then he tried to print again, didn't get the message, and didn't get the blank paper. In fact, he didn't get anything.
Of course, there is no information on the HP website. Any ideas on what could be the problem?

I've been looking through the forums for help with this problem. There are a couple of threads with similar problems, but no solved threads and the discussion doesn't seem to go anywhere... As far as I can tell, it's been causing a lot of annoyance for many users, including myself, but it looks like the community's in the dark about why it's happening!
I'm trying to connect to my iTunes library using the Apple Remote app on my new iPhone 4S. As you may know, there are two ways to do this:
Connect via Home Sharing by setting up Home Sharing on both iTunes and the iPhone, or
Connecting directly to iTunes using a four digit passcode.
I've tried both methods, and neither work!
Here's what happens for each method:
From the Remote app start screen, I tap the "Turn on Home Sharing" button. I enter my Apple ID details (which are definitely correct), and get a confirmation message on my phone saying "Home Sharing is on using [my email address]. To control iTunes: Choose Turn On Home Sharing from the Advanced menu in iTunes on your computer." I then go to iTunes, turn on Home Sharing, enter my Apple ID again and get a confirmation message saying "Home Sharing is now on", etc. However, there's no connection formed between my iPhone and my Macbook Pro - the Remote app just shows a message saying "Turn on Home Sharing in iTunes on your computer or on Apple TV using the account [my email address].
From the Remote app start screen, I tap "Add an iTunes Library", and the four digit passcode is shown on my phone. I select the new "Quintin's iPhone" item that appears in the iTunes sidebar under "Devices", and enter the passcode on the screen that appears. Once I've entered it, I get a confirmation message saying "Your Remote is now able to control iTunes" with an "Okay" button. Clicking the "Okay" button makes the screen and the sidebar item disappear completely. On my phone, a message that says "Looking for ..." is shown on the screen with a spinning loading wheel, but nothing happens. After a minute or two, it stops and simply says "Could not find".
After trying both methods, I went through all of the troubleshooting steps here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1741 . Absolutely no effect.
I should mention that I was experiencing similar problems on my old iPhone 3Gs with an older version of iTunes. I thought it might have been some kind of hardware fault and expected it to clear up once I got the new phone, but the problem is still there. It's a new phone, a new computer, a newer version an iTunes... even a different network I'm trying to connect to it on. Bizarre!
I've even tried using the Mobile Air Mouse remote application instead. However again, the Mobile Air Mouse app on my phone can't pick up the Mobile Air Mouse server on my Mac.
I'm kind of at the end of my rope here. Anyone?I have the exact same problem trying to use the Remote app on both my iPhone 3gs and iPad 2 with either my Mac or ATV2. My Remote app used to work on my phone - I can't recall if I ever actually used it with my iPad, but when I tried today, I got all the same results as you did (on both iPad, and then iPhone). I was using my ATV2 to play music from iTunes on my Mac and wanted to use the Remote app, but it would not connect to either device no matter what I did.

The round button that allows me to get out of an app or to move or delete an app has stopped working. Once I am in an app, the only way to get out of it is to power off my ipod completely. Help!

with iTunes 11 the iTunes DJ functionality has been removed from iTunes.
Some say that it has been further integrated as "Up Next" - which has been done so well, that you can't find it anymore.
If you now want to add a title to the playlist, you need to press a little arrow which opens a menu where you can select "Add to Up Next".
The problem is that this does not work properly on a party with unexperienced users.
They find a title, tap on it and then it directly starts playing and interrupts the current title.
Is there any way with a setting in iTunes or the iTunes Remote app to have the "Add to Up Next" functionality as default when you tap on a title?
ThanksI too have this problem and made it worse. Under Mavericks and iOS7 everything set up very easily and worked beautifully like Apple stuff usually does. Then a couple of weeks ago I took the dive and updated to Yosemite, iTunes 12 and iOS8 and then I would occasionally lose connection with my iTunes library as described by the second poster. Very aggravating. So I made a bigger mistake and deleted the library from my iPad Remote app and whenever I started it up again it would say 'Add a device'. I clicked and a randomly generated 4 digit number appears with the exact instructions: 'To add an iTunes library, open iTunes on your computer and choose Remote from the tab bar'. I went to iTunes and searched EVERYWHERE for this Remote tab bar and could not find it. I then went to iTunes Preferences: Devices and clicked the button 'Forget All Remotes' thinking this may reset something in iTunes and make the Remote tab appear somehow to start from scratch. Wrong! Now there is absolutely no connection between the Remote app on my devices and iTunes on my computer.
Can anyone point me to this Remote tab in iTunes?? If I can find that then I think I should be able to fix this.
Geez, talk about effing up what should be (and was) a very simple app.
