The latest Firefox update, which I have installe on my macbook Os 10.68, seems full of bugs
I am so fed up with the latest version of firefox. It is incredibly slow, when I enter one url in the web bar it will send me bouncing off to a random address that is on my bookmards toolbar. Before the latest firefox update, I had already noticed it had become ridiculously slow. I read some support articles and it suggested uninstalling some add ons and reinstalling them. I did so, i even got rid of the ones I felt I no longer needed them. It fast slighter faster for maybe a day, then just as slow again. In the mean time, I installed google crome browser, b/c I have a blog with blogger, and there are just some things you can't do with blogger unless you're using Chrome. By accident, I discovered there were several things I could all of a sudden do online that I couldn't do with Firefox (reply to messages on a forum I post on, access a free menu planning feature on Canadian Living Magazine's website).
After their latest update, everything has gotten worse! That's when it got even slower, and started bouncing me around the web. I even cleared the cache, which was incredibly annoying since I had so many places all over the web that I had set to be automatically signed in to, and I spent an entire day having to recover all these passwords, and clearing the cache did nothing to fix the problem in any way. I will wait two days for a response from this forum. The only reason I haven't ditched Firefox completely is because of it's adblock feature. The adds on Chrome drive me nuts. If I have not received any suggestions that seem worth my time and energy, I'm uninstalling Firefox, and might consider returning to it when they come up with a new update.
Well, that's pretty made my decision final. I'm ditching firefox for good. The only reason I was willing to use it at all, was because of Ad block. I already tried uninstalling, disabling add ons, like I mentioned previously. The whole proceeding with Firefox safe mode thing sounds like way too much trouble than it's worth. Since I already have Safari Browser, that came with my Macbook, and I need Chrome Browser for using Blogger, I'm uninstalling Firefox and I'll just use those two. Chrome Browser annoys me enough of the time that I don't want to use it as my primary browser. Safari is fairly good though, especially if I only use it occasionally, that means if runs very quickly. Thanks for the advice. It's too bad. When I started using Firefox about 4 years ago, I loved it. Now it drives me absolutely crazy. I'll just start gathering all my passwords that are stored in Firefox and then uninstall it.

Before the latest Firefox update around 5-6-14, I didn't have to sign in and give a password to open up Outlook from the Firefox default page. Now even after I sign in to Outlook and checking the box to stay signed in, after a few hours, i have to sign in and give the password to open Outlook. It is a Firefox extension or something that has changed. Please do not refer me to Microsoft help as they have a scripted help for this problem that doesn't work.

How do I uninstall the latest firefox update?
I just updated to the latest version of firefox 13.0.1 and the update is not working correctly. Many websites do not display all the page and I need to get rid of this latest update. I need to go back to the previous version. How do I do this? This adversely affects my ability to conduct business.
Uninstalling the latest version of Firefox is not at all recommended as it contains serious security fixes.
However, i can try to help you out so that the websites you are having problems with display properly, and you can continue using the latest Firefox.
First, I would suggest you try reading [[Websites look wrong]]. It has some basic steps you can take to see if it will help the pages you are having difficulty with display properly.
If that doesn't work, try to reset Firefox. [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems]]. It will fix alot of problems you are having with Firefox in general. -
I downloaded and installed the latest osx update last night (10.9.2) and now I'm getting login errors when trying to download emails and keychain errors when using Google Chrome or Safari. I have no idea how to solve the problems caused by this update. My macbook pro is older - 2008. Help, please? Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.
I should have clarified above....."keychain errors", not just login errors. Thanks again.

I run Mac OS 10.6.8.
When I try to print a PDT file, such as an IRS form, Firefox opens a small dialog box asking what program was used to create the file I wish to print. No matter which of the selections I choose, the file will not print.
I have the latest Adobe Reader installed.
Note that these files always open normally in Safari.
Help!Hi there,
Does you printer/RIP support protocols other than AppleTalk? If it does, then I would change it to something like HP Jetdirect-Socket.

Any page I try to open is blank, tried using Chrome and it works fine.
This was not a Firefox update, but a piece of malicious software you have inadvertently downloaded from a site called http://ffftp.co.cc/ which is impersonating Firefox. I discovered this as soon as my Zonealarm firewall requested permission for "Golds" to access the internet. Golds??!! However I couldn't find a file with this name installed on my computer.
You should delete the file you downloaded and do not allow internet access to any suspicious program. You should also scan your PC immediately for any virus, malware, etc. Best of luck. -

i have just installed the latest update and the following message has come up. Text box - Unable to locate component. Message - the application failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem.
I have tried reinstalling and it has not helped.
I have gone to uninstall what ever is installed on the computer but cannot find itunes in the program list but do not want to just delete all apple applications with out knowing what they are. So, how do i delete the existing itunes program on my compouter??
I am also hoping that i will be able to do a restor eform the cloud once i get this sortedHello, fletch72.
Thank you for the question. I see you have uninstalled, reinstalled and the error is persisting. Try one more time uninstalling all components of iTunes in the order specified of the article below. These steps must be processed in the order specified or the error will persist. Once this is done attempt to install iTunes again.
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

If the issue persists, you will need to process the steps in the article below for each component and reinstall.

I have a Personas account. The brown fox icon was present in the bottom left corner of my screen before the latest version of Firefox downloaded, but is not there anymore. I have to go to the Personas web site now whenever I want to manage my Persona. Previously, all I had to do was click on the brown fox, and do what I wanted to do from there.
Why has this changed, and how to I put it back to the way it was before?Try this:

You may need to manually add the icon to your toolbar. -
sorry cant think what details you may require, the problem is simply that I had bookmarks and when I upgraded to the latest edition of Firefox they were gone. I understand this is a common prob. and if i only knew what the devl I was doing i'm sure its easy to fix..HELP
Always make sure that you do NOT remove "personal data" when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords including data in profiles created by other Firefox versions.
You can check for problems with the <b>places.sqlite</b> database file in the Firefox profile folder.

My old version of firefox had a little red firefox tab (top, left) with a pulldown menu offering print option,
then a secondary menu offering print preview option. How can I access the print preview function in
the latest version of firefox? When you use the new "3-bar" menu button, where you see the Print icon, that actually opens Print Preview. You can use Customize to move that to the main toolbar if you like.
I created a map showing where the old menu items moved in the new menu. maybe it will be useful? http://www.jeffersonscher.com/res/menu/comp.php -
Since installing mozilla firefox 17.01 on my new desktop it's impossible for me to close down websites, some of them close automatically after 30 minutes, others stay open. The only thing that helps is a rough closure by shutting the desktop down and restart. E-mail programms will open but I can't read them or change to the spamfilter so I can see whether there are some mails in it that should not be. The only thing to get to my e-mail is Internet Explorer and that programm is one I can't stand. So please help me patch this up.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

If you can't log off from websites then it is possible that there is a problem with the cookies.
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the <i>cookies.sqlite</i> file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) <b>cookies.sqlite</b> (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like <b>cookies.sqlite-journal</b> in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

After a fairly recent update, I began having the option to paste text disappear, I've had backspace cause the browser to go back to the previous page while in a text box, and other issues which are apparently a matter of Firefox not recognizing the fact that I am typing in a text box.
After the last update, suddenly YouTube video page URL links no longer translate into links containing the title of the video, and also things like the use of bookend asterisks in order to have text appear in bold typeface no longer work.i have the same problem with the above..firefox is running too slow with the games in facebook..but it runs good when browsing my updates, msgs, photos...firefox is totally opposite of IE..IE is faster with the games and slow while browsing..i love to use mozila but when i do games it really pisses me off...hope you could help me..
