The Library window cannot be viewed or pulled up, though I can play music with space bar?

I am experiencing the weirdest problem with iTunes. I opt to launch an alternate iTunes Library by holding down the Option key when opening iTunes. I have an entirely separate iTunes Library for work purposes.
When I locate and select my alternative iTunes Library, the program opens, but the Library window cannot be viewed. I can only view the Equalizer window. My music content seems to be there, as when I hit the space bar, some music plays (it seems like it is set on a particular playlist). I can freely switch between these tracks with the keyboard options, but I have no way of accessing everything else offered by the Library window. =(
This is distressing because I have a lot of graphics and and organized project playlists of media for work purposes.
I am running iTunes 9.0.2 (25) on PowerPC 10.4.11. I'm wondering if there's a chance that I have not loaded this alternate Library since I updated iTunes from 8 to 9.
Does this make sense to anyone? I would greatly appreciate any assistance or suggestions!
Is it easy to uninstall an itunes version, or possible to install an older version in place of a newer version?
Of course, my personal music iTunes Library loads the Library window without issue, so I'm not sure how this could have happened. Could it be an issue with the Library asset files?

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

Are you installing from the official site? http://www.mozilla.com/firefox
If you use Windows Explorer (My Computer) to check that path, is the Mozilla Firefox folder there? That is the normal installation location, but I think it's worth checking.
If the folder isn't there or firefox.exe is not in it, I wonder whether some other software might be interfering. You might want to run some supplemental security scans. These two tools are highly regarded:

I lost my patches in the Library Window.

When i first created a project, my Patch library window showed all the available patches. I had various folders, such as LOGIC INSTRUMENTS, GARAGE BAND, and all kinds of folders with extra patches i had downloaded.
Well, i just created a new software instrument track and chose a Magneto Synth. Now i only see a select number of patches in my libray window at left.. if i hit the LEFT arrow key, it doesnt take me to the root with all my patches !.. if i hit the little filing cabinat icon on the upper left of the screen, it only brings up my loops libray (on the last window to the right)...
Any idea how i can get all my patches to choose a new one ?
I vaguely remember clicking on one of the buttons on the instrument window to change the patch.. but i don;t see that any more...
maybe i didnt see this in the 1000 page manual

i have logic pro X. maybe that's why this is not working ? when i click on the triangle,, i get this ... maybe its becuase of the magento the patch i first loaded in ?. i remember doing what you said in previous versions of logic.

When I try to I execute workbench.cmd, downloaded with OracleR TopLink 10g Release 3 (10.1.3), I am getting the error "Windows cannot find '-Xmx128m' .Make sure that you typed the name correctly...." .Further, my application is based on Java Swing and not a web application.
I made the following changes in the <TOPLINK_HOME>/bin/workbench.cmd file :
a) Set the 'JAVA_HOME' to the JDK path, same as that given in the
Environment Variables setting.
b) Set 'DRIVER_CLASSPATH' to point to
<TOPLINK_HOME>/jlib/classes12.jar.
My System configuration is as follows :-
Operating System : WindowsXP
JDK Version : JDK1.4.1
Data Base Client : Oracle9i
Data Base Server: Oracle8i
Can anyone please suggest any solution for this problem.I 'll be very thankful.

Have you run across this thread while trying to resolve this problem - How to start Workbench (Toplink 10g) Not sure if it applies to your situation, but thought it might be helpful.
If this doesn't help, perhaps you can paste the contents of your workbench.cmd file into this thread and we can try to debug the issue further.

What is the point of the "keywords" field in the Library window?

I use the tags feature in the library window to help me search through hundreds of bookmarks. It is great and very useful.
But I don't understand the point of also having a "keywords" field.
It appears to me that the keywords are not searchable so why is the field there.
Am I missing something?

You can assign a keyword to a bookmark for easy access and for passing extra parameters like search terms.

My husband and I are using the same iTunes account on all mac & pc computers, but the libraries are different on each machine. We always manually manage our music (no auto sync). iTunes is up to date on the PCs. My husband uses our joint iTunes account on his pc, but once again, has a different collection in his library from those on the other machines. He can't load any music from his PC to his iphone 4. I can load music from my mac library to my iphone 4s, but cannot load from my pc library to my iphone 4s. How can I switch my main library that it syncs with from the mac to the pc?

You are looking at the drop-down menus at the top of iTunes e.g. on a Mac :
If you are on iTunes 11 on Windows then press Alt-S and the Store menu should appear at the top.

That's consistent with all the tickboxes to the left of the tracks (in Song view) being unchecked.
Go into Song view and Ctrl-click one of the empty boxes to do a "global recheck".
If you can't see the tickboxes, head into your General preferences tab and select "Show list tickboxes" as per the following screenshot (it's for an earlier version of iTunes, but the boxes are in roughly the same place in the recent versions 11.x):

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy of your computer to put everything on the new one.
It sounds like you have failed to do this, which is not good at all.
You will have to transfer your itunes purchases from your iphone. Authorize your computer for your itunes account
About iTunes Store authorization and deauthorization
Open itunes, plug in iphone, do NOT sync, click File>Transfer Purchases
When you do sync you will lose your pics ( photo library - synced from your old computer), your itunes content ( music, apps, videos,etc) , your contacts and your calendars. So do NOT sync yet. This is why a backup copy is so important.
Enter one unique contact and calendar entry on your computer.
When you first sync, you should get the option to merger the data. Choose it.
If you want your pics, then you will need to e-mail them to yourself before you sync. They will not be of the original quality as they are reduced when synced to iphone.
When all is as goos as it can be, then backup your computer, and always maintain the backup.

This category is for iPod shuffle. Is that the type of iPod you have, because your description of the problem does not sound like it's about a shuffle? If it's not a shuffle, what is the iPod model...?
There is music there and I can play it connected to laptop.
Are you doing the playing using the iPod, or are you playing the music using iTunes on the laptop?
