?i was thinking of buying the the New Creative Zen Stone plus 2GB?with built-in speaker. http://creative.com/products/mp3/zenstoneplus/?The product detail info claim a 20 hours battery life of this product. . is?this a?true claim ?2. is there any problem about the charging process of this product?because the "previous" Creative?Stone Plus has a charging and?battery life problem. 3. Or should i just settle for the Creative muVo v00 2 GB instead ?Any thoughts guys?Thanks

Hi, I recently bought a Zen Stone, I'm happy with this purchase, but there are a few things that I didn't like, little things like, not showing current song number in folder, or not showing ID3 artist tag.
And I was wondering if maybe Zen firmware is open source, and it's freely alowed for user to edit it.

Thump / Pop noise when switching on / off Zen Stone Plus with Spea

Hello,
I just bought a 2Gb Zen Stone Plus with Speaker and I was disappointed by a very loud thump occurring when turning on/off the player. Moreover, starting with the player switched off, it is sufficient to press the on button (not necessarily until switching on completes) and the thump is there... each time I press the button! It is like an electrostatic discharge.
The thump is quite dangerous for my ears (for instance using high quality in-ear monitors) and for my 2. speakers system.
Is that normal? Should I return it's

I hear a sort of electronic cracking sound in my right ear, quite loud and lower volume pop in my left ear after that when turning on the player. I also thought it was just cheap electronics.
I don't want to go trough the trouble of contacting the vendor for an exchange if a new one has the same thing.

Belt clip for zen stone plus with spea

I've had a Zen Stone Plus with Speaker for a little less than a year now. The speaker makes it wonderful for riding bike trails without using earphones to stay alert to the surroundings. It's worked quite well when used with a (technically unsupported) non-Windows PC. A careless person in a store collided with me yesterday, flinging it to the ground, with no damage to the electronics. It is disappointing to find, however, that there seems to be no replacement clips available for the one she damaged. Does anyone know if the clips sold with the multi skin packs for earlier models, sold elsewhere, might be the same spring clip

Can new Creative Zen play WMA with D

Can new Creative Zen play WMA with DRM? (Digital rights management) Because half of my library is purchased from MSN Music and if Creative Zen can't play that, I have to look for something else.

I'm not that unsure. And of course I beli've that you and the mods have right and it would be very strange if it did not play DRM. But I think Creative could have writen that it play WMA with DRM in the product specification. Stone plus (with built-in speaker) can't connect to pc

6stone plus (with built-in speaker) can't connect to pcm hi, my creative stone plus with in built speaker got a problem, when I connect it to the pc it starts charging, but it isn't recognized in "my computer" ( my OS is windows xp), so I'm not able to access the storage memory of the mp3. It works as player, but I can't change songs on its storage memory anymore!
Any suggestion? It has been bought in Italy the 4 of april 2008, so the one year warranty is already decaesed, but I've the second year, as given here in italy...

Creative Zen Stone Plus Returns First Track On Player After Recharge

? Hi Everybody... I didn't see this topic posted on another thread, but I wasn't going to read thousands of posts to get this answer either. My problem is I own two players, one is a Creative Zen Stone and the other is the Zen Stone Plus. My Zen Stone does not return to the first track on the player when I recharge it (it remains on the same track), but the Zen Stone Plus does. This normally wouldn't be a big deal, but my mother-in-law listens to audiobooks. Sometimes those books don't have seperate tracks which means there is a single track that runs for like 6 - 8 hours. Is there a way to allow the player to pick up where it left off? It is a real pain to have to fast forward through most of an audiobook, especially when my player (the less expensi've player) continues where it left off. BTW.... Letting her have my player is not an option since hers has a display screen and mine doesn't.

So, reading the forum, it seems we have seroiusly problems with charging.... I'll try all I've read: disabling "energy conservation mode" on USB root, using an USB powered hub as Battery Charger, updating the Firmware, formatting / resetting the player and then using cml and the led to charge it to the full. I hope it solves, at least for me.... ?

Creative is came out with a new Creative zen. im not so sure if it out now or if its coming out soon.
but i was just wondering if anyone has it and can tell me if you can rotate the screen so it would be easy to click the buttons with your left hand...
the old muvo's alowed you to rotate the screen for better left handed controls so i was just wondering if i should spend the money on this.

You're not thinking outside the box. Imagine having a collection of 300 albums connected to your home stereo. Without the hassle of sorting through hundreds of CD.
The convience of being able to travel with that collection anywhere you wanted, such as a school dorm, saving alot of free space in the room.
As for battery life, well you don't have to use a battery in every scenero, if you have it plugged into a stereo system then just use the AC Adapter.

Creative Zen Stone Plus 2GB vs. Zen V plus

Hi. I recently had my Zen Micro just freeze and die after 8 months. I lost ,600 songs. I am now interested in purchasing a flash mp3 for working out and commuting. I've heard good things aobut the Zen Stone Plus and the Zen V plus. Can anybody give me any adivice on deciding between the two? Thanks!

New Mp3 Zen V Plus with Vi

My zen V PLUS has no firmware because it was curropted and wouldnt load... and it wont connect to my comptuter what do i do?

I have the same problem that Vista won't recognize my Zen Plus. I have tried every thing I could think of and nothing works. The recovery tool didn't work.
Vista won't even put up that disconnect icon in lower right. and Creative Media Organizer won't see the Zen Plus either.
I think Microsoft and Creative should get their products to working together...........but they are making money and we are wasting our time trying to get things we have paid for to work.
Does anyone at Creative know how this Zen Plus will ever work with Vista?
Should I listen to the Creative e-mail support and return my Zen Plus?

Lame Foldernavigation with Zen Stone plus with spea

I purchased the 4GB Model because i hear a lot of Audiobooks. Those are organised in folders. I downloaded the manual / help file before purchasing and was quite happy that the Zen support folders. Now im disappointed the way the Zen Stone handles them. I added some other shortcomings and suggestions of improvement too.
Its not possible to navigate into/out of a folder. Instead you see every folder regardless of it'ss hierachy level. Although the player "supports" up to 4 hierachy levels. This is really disturbing. I want to use those leves to organize my files and to increase overview. Its not possible! So it makes no sense to organize your files as Zen does not show the structure.
So i have to scroll through hundreds of folder. What increases problems is that you cant do that fast. Every time i go to the next folder Zen starts playing this folder. This is not only annoying but takes about 3 sec of time. It gets a little faster if dont hold the button but than you have to press the button so many times.
Great you can turn the display bei 80 degrees. Even greater would be to do that in 90?s ste

I like to use headphones which also work as a strap so hanging around my neck i can't read the display properly. Due to it'ss round shape it would make even more sens to make this possible. You can even think about making the 4 buttons displayrelevant. (There function rotates with the direction of the display.) The display is big enough to display some tiny icons like the play triangel or a + and - sign. Then you would have softbuttons which can even become other functions you can see directly.
Its good the display turns off after a while to preserve energy. But i dont like to press buttons then different/more. Now after max. 30 sec it turns off. The next press turns it on again and only after this it'ss reacting normally on pressing buttons.
Im kind of used to press the center button for play / stop. Not only the ipod shuffle but many, many (soft)players work exactly the same way. So im kind of confused to press the tiny double button on the headphone side which is barely reachable particulary if you use the silicon cover. I know, i can press the center button twice but after 30 sec i have to press it three times! Just to pause the playback. This can't be!! Imagine how often you have to pause the playback and how often you change settings etc. I really think the functions of those buttons should be exchanged.
The speed of rewind, forwarding should increase over the time you hold those buttons. Now its about 0 sec. which is not enough. This is particulary useful for audiobooks.
If you switch to/playback another file via Directory search Zen should memorize the songposition of the last song. (Bookmark-function) This is also particulary useful for audiobooks.<
I have a suggestion to solve problem and 2:
No folder starts playing just by selecting.
The folder view is recognzied.
If a folder contains songs (not only other folders) those are shown and can be selected/played.
Its visible by an icon or an different font if folder are empty or contain other folders.
With the +,- buttons you go to the next, previous folder / song. This goes as fast as you press. Holding those buttons starts scroll/selecting which increases speed by the time of holding.
The I<< and >>I - Buttons expands/collapses folder.
Holding those buttons for longer collaps / expands all folders.
The Center Buttons plays the folder / song and returns to the playback view.
Lots of ideas. I hope someone appreciate them and maybe some of them can wind up in an firmware update someday. That would be awesome.

ZEN Stone Plus With Speaker - How to enhance FM Radio Recepti

I could not receive many FM radio stations that I did with other radios.
Is there any way to enhance the reception of the built-in radio? Would replacing the earphone that comes with the mp3 player help? Thanks.

Creative Zen Stone Plus

Hi, I'm having some problems with my mp3. Both my?laptops just can't seem to recognise it though it was working fine for the past few months. It turned up as another dri've ?Removal Disk(I instead of the name of my mp3(as i've?named it). Kept on saying that i need to format the dri've in dri've I: before i can use it. Y/N.
and NOW. i cant even switch on my mp3 though the start up screen comes up but just died there and the battery is full.
so please please please, help me out

I assume the SD slot will take SDHC cards? 25 hour battery life for music seems reasonable(what was Creative thinking when they released players with under 5 and especially under 0 hours of play time for music?). This is the first mp3 player from Creative in a long while that I am excited about. Of course it still doesn't have the features I really want in an mp3 player though such as? having both AM and FM radio, a microphone jack and advanced recording features, being power by a AA battery,? and variable speed playback.
