The piracy of music and software

I have to say that I don't normally use iTunes. I use it on occassion when there is just one song that I want that I can't find elsewhere. Recently I purchased one and realized how restricted it is. First off, you have to authorize your computer to play these files. Since I've done a couple re-installs of Windows on my computer, I have done that a couple times. Well, Apple realizes these as activations, even though you have to activate your computer all over again upon a clean re-install. So, now it says that I have authorized 3 computers of my 5 allowed. ********!!!
We all hear that the music industry, corporate conglomerates and the government alike are putting all these measures in place to discourage piracy, but I tell you the truth. When I purchase something and I am not allowed to do anything with that thing except to use it with a given software, that encourages me to pirate it. After all, they are saying you don't own it, even though you paid for the **** thing. This logic is pure retardation pure and simple. It is no different than purchasing a $75,000 mercedez and being restricted to certain streets and times of the day which you can drive it. Why would a consumer buy a song that they don't own? That is the reason for piracy. A person will not buy something they can't own. What is the purpose in that?
People, we must take a stand against all this anti-piracy radicalism. The rate we are going, it won't be long before my car example is a reality. How about books and magazines? I can see them regulated in much the same way. Their goal is to eliminate the actual physical products such as CDs, magazines and books and have them only available in digital format. This is convenient for sure. However think of books and magazines in the same way. They will be available for purchase online only. You will not be able to print them, hang them on your wall or use them for your own purposes. You will only be able to view them using a special software that they make for you. As also with the music, you will run into problems when Microsoft's OS bugs make you re-install it a dozen times.
Recently, in the Kazaa lawsuit fiasco, over 400 million were paid out to record labels and various parties involved. That is way more than this is all worth. Further, who do you think recieved those funds? The corporate conglomerates, record labels and billionaires. I guarentee you that they low level struggling artist did not recieve a penny of this money. We cannot allow the wealthy who are already ripping off consumers and pick pocketing their hard earned wages to pledge with one hand that they are protecting us and with the other rule with an iron fist over us like slaves. Stand up for your rights as a consumer and your freedoms.

Once you activate 5 computers (or 5 times), iTunes will show a new option "Deactivate all computers" Then you start at 1 again.
Or rather, Deauthorize your iTunes before you re-install Windows, That would work best, then you won't be limited to 5 times a year.

You can authorize or deauthorize a computer at any time.
Tip: If you forgot to deauthorize a computer you no longer own, you can deauthorize all of your authorized computers at once. Choose Store > View My Account. You can use this method once a year.
