The side scroll bar is locked and I don't know what to do. Also video does not work. I only get sound.
The side scroll bar is locked so I can't read anything on the web. Also, I cannot get any video on YouTube, etc. It is a black screen.
See the troubleshooting for a white-screen included here:

I accidentally scratched off the code on my iTunes card and i don't know what to do now?
If the page that you posted from doesn't help then you will need to try contacting iTunes support (you will need to give them as much of the serial number and activation code from the card as you can read) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then iTunes Cards And Codes

Something keeps trying to download on my mac and I don't know what it is. It is not in the apple store and just comes out nowhere and request for my password to download something and I don't know what it is. How to make this stop? It pops up every single day.
Erica,
I can, with 99.99% certainty, tell you that you are absolutely right in not wanting to download or install this "Helper," whatever it is (but we can be equally certain it would not "help" anything).
I cannot comment as to Oglethorpe's recommendation of 'adwaremedic'; I am unfamiliar with it. His links to the Apple discussion and support pages warrant your time and attention.
It might be really simple -- Trying looking in your Downloads folder, trash anything that you don't know with certainty is something you want to keep, and then Secure Empty your Trash. Then remove the AdBlock extension, LastPass, and Web of Trust extensions to Safari and re-boot. If the issue goes away, still be extraordinarily careful in the future.
Unfortunately, it's probably not going to be that simple to get rid of, in which case I'd then try the line by line editing in HT203987.
I have no further suggestions (other than a complete wipe and re-install...but that's a pain because trying to restore from Time Machine would simply ... restore the Mal).
For the rest of us, please post when you find a solution.
Best.

I accidentally purchased three songs when I clicked on just one to purchase and I don't know what to do to stop then from downloading or to get them off my iPod..
Purchases are considered final, but if they were accidental purchases then you could try the 'report a problem' link to contact iTunes Support and see if they will refund or credit you : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
If they've downloaded onto your iPod then you should be able to delete them from it by swiping/dragging across them from right-to-left on the Songs selection screen in the Music app -

I was wondering if there was any way of accessing my iPhone 4 without a micro sim card. I am currently at the activating section, and after it tells you to find WIFI, it says to enter a sim card. I bought this iPhone off of my friend and he took out his original sim card! I dont know what carrier he was using. Is there any way I can access the phone just to play music on it for now?
Buy a H20 Wireless micro SIM card off eBay for $.99. You can activate the phone/SIM from their website. H2O uses AT&Ts network.

basically the title says it all...I've been using this for the longest time and now after i was syncing the ipod while downloading an update for Itunes the sad face ipod icon shows up and everything i try won't fix it. I'm wondering if anyone knows how they can help me fix it...please!
The Sad face icon is usually a very good indication of a hardware malfunction or failure usually with the iPod's Hard Drive, which would also explain the loud clicking noise you are hearing.
I assume you have seen this article yet?

My iphoto crash few days ago and since few days my imac is try to rebuild the databese....now is 4 days and i'm warryes abouth all my pictures.
what should i do?Try resetting the iPhone,
Reset your iPhone by pressing the 'Sleep' and 'Home' button at the same time for about 15 seconds or so. Your iPhone will then go through a reset / reboot procedure and will be ready for use within about a minute.
Don't worry about doing this as you will not lose data or settings.
Good luck and do report back. -

I need help, my MacBook Pro keeps restarting itself for the last two hours saying there's a problem. I can't get past the grey screen without it restarting and i don't know what to do...please help me
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the
COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and
after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears.
Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks: Select ReinstallLion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks from
the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is
three times faster than wireless. -
I keep getting the same dialogue box upon opening Firefox but don't know what to do about it
I keep getting the same dialogue box upon opening Firefox but don't know what to do about it "Could not initialise the application's security component. The most probable cause is problems with files in your browser's profile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard drive is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you exit the browser and fix the problem. If you continue to use this browser session, you might see incorrect browser behaviour when accessing security features." I have gone to tools - general tab - browse files - but it wont let me browse or set a place to staore files. Any ideas?
Try the procedures shown in this link - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Could+not+initialize+the+browser+security+component

I just want to know that if I buy an iphone 4S here in melbourne can i use it in china?
i don`t know whether it`s locked or not and i don`t know what`s the network in china as well.
Can somebody please help?
I am really in a hurry to know it.
Thanks a lot.
P.S: For the iphone 4S. is there any difference for the one from online shop or the actual store?iPhones purchased from the online Apple Store in Australia will be unlocked. To the best of my knowledge, unlocked iPhone are not available from the physical Apple Stores at this time, though you can call the Apple Store in Melbourne and inquire.
Note that the warranty on iPhones is not international, so if you purchase an iPhone in Australia and it needs service, you would have to ship the iPhone to someone in Australia to take or send to Apple for service and then ship it back to you.
Regards.
(Note for any readers: this is an old thread and I posted before noticing the date, but decided to leave my reply in case anyone else finds the thread and has the same question). -

I made a purchase of an album on iTunes...somehow I deleted the whole album from my iMac and now when I go back to my purchases it does not give me the option to download the whole album again, instead it gives me the option of plaing them...please help!!
Where are you looking to download them from ? You might be able to redownload them via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your Mac's iTunes. If that album shows there but doesn't have the cloud symbol against it for redownloading then that implies that it's still in your iTunes library
