The text & numbers doesn't enter correctly when I type

Adobe keeps changing what goes on the screen. l's are a's. 0 is 4. etc. Any tips?

What is your operating system? Reader version?
Does that happen in all PDF forms, or just a specific one? Can you link to such a form?

I removed my saved password from some sites that I needed to change my password for because they wouldn't auto log me in anymore. So I removed them and then retyped my new passwords in and the usual "do you want us to remember this password" drop down box didn't pop up.

Firefox would normally have asked if you want to store a new password when you erase the password and enter a new password.
Did you check the password exceptions and make sure that the Password Manager is enabled?

Open the file as a RandomAccessFile. Check its length. Declare a byte array as big as its length and do a single read to get the file into RAM.
Is this a simple text file (bytes)? No problem. If it's really 16-bit chars, use java.nio to first wrap the byte array as a ByteBuffer and then view the ByteBuffer as a CharBuffer.
Then you're ready for search/replace. Do it as you would in any other language. Be sure to use System.arraycopy() to shove your bytes right (replace bigger than search) or left (replace smaller than search).
When done, a single write() to the RandomAccessFile will put it all back. As you search/replace, keep track of size. If the final file is smaller than the original, use a setLength() to the new size to avoid extraneous data at the end.

TonyE is correct the plugin version comes with Adobe's Reader X.
The failure in communication is two parted:
1. Reader X is not Acrobat (Mozilla Plugin Checker)
2. Acrobat is not mentioned in the Reader X download Page (Adobe)

The mouse cursor doesn't go away when you are working

Okay, so the problem is that the mouse cursor doesn't go away when you select a tool. It turns into a mouse cursor with a precision cursor as an attachment. I have been all over the internet and the manuel and can't figure out how to get my regular cursor back TT^TT.

What happens when you press the Caps Lock key? Do you get a combination mouse cursor and brush size cursor?
Cursor problems often involve the display driver, and can also be a result of using a large text size setting in Windows.
Visit the web site of the maker of your video card and see if there's a newer version of the display driver available to download and install.
It doesn't sound exactly like what you're seeing, but if the display driver update doesn't help, check this knowledge base article:

I'd rather start with tidying things up on the server. I.e. delete messages you already moved to the new account or to Local Folders in the original account. And then also remove them from Trash.
Google doesn't make it easy to really get rid of messages, and this may be a tidy process, but it will finally bring down the space used on the server.

I put it on the charger and this morning it is totally black. However, when I hit the on and off button, I did hear the text message signal go off. When I turned the volume on and off a big white bell flashed. In the last week, there were some other display problems such as the screen blowing up large. The only way to fix it was to turn off the phone and then turn it back on.
What does all of this mean? It seems like I've had these problems since the iphone 4 upgrade.

I have a manual that contains headings and index entries that contain less than and greater than characters, < and >. The Publish to Responsive HTML5 function escapes these correctly in the main body of the text but does not work correctly in either the Contents or the Index of the generated HTML. In the Contents the words are completely missing and in the index entries the '\' characters that are required in the markers remain in the entry but the leading less than symbol and the first character of the word is deleted; hence what should appear as <dataseries> appears as \ataseries\>. I believe this is a FMv12 bug. Has anyone else experienced this? Is the FM team aware and working on a fix. Any suggestions for a workaround?

The Index issue is more complicated since in order to get the < and > into the index requires the entry itself to be escaped. So, in order to index '<x2settings>' you have to key '\<x2settings\>'. Looking at the generated index entry in the .js file we see '<key name=\"\\2settings\\>\">. This is a bit of a mess and produces an index entry of '\2settings\>'. This ought to be '<key name=\"&lt;x2settings&gt;\" >'. I have tested this fix and it works - but the worst of it is that the first character of the index entry has been stripped out. Consequently I cannot fix this with a few global changes - and I have a lot of index entries of this type. I'm looking forward to a response to this since I cannot publish this document in its current state.

Restart the computer.
Repair Permissions in Disk Utility.
Check fonts and clear out bad ones in Font Book.
Try in another User Account.
Any luck?

Try turning off Ligatures in your style.

Unfortunately, the uncertainty arising from the rounding has been up several times here in this forum.
I just came to remember a warning that needs to be given:
The rounding of the representation of a numerical value may be harmless in itself, but if you use it for any operation that changes the value, such as multiplication or whatever, things will go wrong because the operation will be made on the basis of the rounded value instead of the true value. So, as in your first case in post #2, 39.625 rounded to 39.63 will become 79.26 instead of 79.25.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js [2] file and possible sessionstore-##.js [3] files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).
