The updated Pages App. Documents sync between ipad and iphone, but only open on ipad. When I try to open docs on iphone, a message comes up saying "Cannot open document."
My iPad 2 and my iPhone 4S automatically updated my Pages App, which I used all the time. It did sync all my documents between the two devices but it will not allow me to open docs on iPhone, only on iPad.
That's never happened before. I am just now updating my phone (4S) to iOS 7.0.3. Maybe that will do the trick?
Thanks very much for the instructions. I encountered this problem this morning myself and the recommendation fixed the problem immediately. When things like this happen with iCloud and Pages it makes me wonder if I might be better off using something else, having just recently had to fix the problem that the current Pages can't read documents I created with a much earlier version until they were "upgraded" by an interim version.

I've no idea why either.
Although it isn't normally possible to sync an iPod/iPad/iPhone with two computers (or manually manage an iPhone from more than one) it can be achieved if all computers have copies of the self same library. See Re: how do i sync on a second laptop without the data on my iPhone 5 being erased?

Try deleting the iPod Photos Cache folder. There may be more than one. For its location see:
iTunes: Photo sync creates iPod Photo Cache folder
Also, go to the Photos pane for the iPod in iTunes and make sure syncing photos is unchecked. -
My internet service provider is BT in the UK. The home page is www.btinternet.com. After I've logged on, the home page displays fine - I can see the summary of my emails in one of the windows on the home page. The problem comes when I click on the mail application. The page then tries to load the email application. However, it never actually loads, it keeps jumping between connected and waiting for login. It never achieves it so I just have to click the 'back' button to get to the home page. I use chrome and ie but neither has this problem.
I retraced my steps to how i got the Google app:
App Store icon on Home Screen > Search, at bottom > entered Google
The first Google App on the screen appears:
Google logo small g in blue square: Google Search; Open (because it is already installed). Below that is a picture of the iPod with the usual Google Search screen. I have never inserted a link into a discussion group so i hope you can open this.

Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

It might mean that the phone is locked to the previous carrier - if you put your sim card in and this happens, could be that the phone is locked.
You would need to ask your sister to ask her friend if the phone was locked to the carrier she was using. If so and you want to use another sim card in the phone the original phone company will have to unlock the phone before this can be done.
To get the phone unlocked though your sister's friend would have to contact the phone company to get it unlocked and she would be the last person to use the phone. -

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

App that syncs between Server and i-Device
Hi,
I'm working for a construction company. We have a lot of pictures but, for the moment, we can't really use them for good purposes. We are investigating the possibility to give iPad's to our constructionsite leaders so they can access these photographs really simple and if it's possible also offline.
All these photographes are located on a central server, structured per construction site.
Now we are looking for an easy-to-use app that gives us the possibility to sync our iPad's with a specific folder on that server. But we want to store the photos offline (on the iPad) aswell. In a perfect scenario, the constructionsite leader enters our WiFi network, the iPad automaticly checks on the server if there are any chances to the content of the specified folder and if there are any changes, the iPad should sync with that folder.
I allready tested some apps and ios features. For example:
- (Shared) Photo Stream. This looks great but we have to many pictures to make this system workable for our end users.
- Good reader: This app is the closest I got to find the perfect solution. The only problem is that the sync option is not functioning superb. The app creates a new directory on the iPhone each time it syncs. + the synchronisation has to be started manually.
- Dropbox: Limited capacity
- MobilEcho: Looks promising but couldn't get it to work properly
- and all kinds of different, small apps...
Is there an app out there go could forfull my needs?

Sydneybling it does sound like your security software is interfering with the process of installing and utilizing your Adobe Creative applications. I would recommend that you try temporarily disabling your security software and utilizing the directions listed at Install and update apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html to install InDesign CC.

I am having problems renting a movie from the apple TV. The download only goes to 46%. I have tried changing the resolution to 720, I have gone to the settings and check for rentals it advises that there is no additional rentals found.
Any suggestions.You have to go to SMTP settings for your email account and enter a password there. Sended and receiving are two different activities managed by 2 differet servers, and each may require a separate user ID and password.

I have the Kindle app on my I pad

On the regular kindle you can switch between cloud and device but that is not working on my I pad.

ThanksThe Kindle app has a menu on the very bottom center of the screen that allows you to switch from a device and cloud view. To remove a title from the device, tap and hold on it. a pop menu will apear that allows to add the title to a collection, remove it from the device, or download it from the cloud (depending on its current status).

App Store says there is one update available. But the Updates page shows a blank screen. Have tried syncing with iTunes on mac as well. But nothing seems to work. Am using Iphone 5 6.1.4. Help
Next time that happens while on WiFi, turn WiFi off in settings, wait about 30 seconds or so, then turn WiFi back on. Sometimes you have to do this two or three times, but this fixes that issue as well.

Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons simultaneously, ignoring the red power off slider, until the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. This should not affect any content on the iPad, it is similar to rebooting your computer.
