The web part references an untrusted xsl file

i have created a custom ItemXSL in my sharepoint 2013 root site (style library>xsl style sheets)
in th subsite i have exported a content query webpart and changed the itemxsllink property and specified the path starting from my root site eg: /rootsitename/subsitename/style library/xsl style sheets/customitem.xsl and saved changes
i uploaded this new webpart again and when i try to insert this webpart i gets the above error "the webpart references an untrusted xsl file"
i tried specifying the property starting from style library and subsite name as well none of them worked any more changes i have to do or how to specify the path in ItemXSLLink property name

Hi,
What if you put the .xsl file in the sub site and link to it in your Content Query Web Part?
If it works, then please modify the link as below and do the test again:
~siteCollection/Style%20Library/yourfolderpathhere/customitem.xsl

I implemented news carousel using display template concepts.
Its working.

Finally we fixed.
The prob is that we referring two different version of jquery files in master page and page layout.
We corrected by referring same version of jquery files in both pages

Webparts deleted from the Web Part Gallery

We have a situation in SharePoint 2010 where a Site Collection Admin accidentally deleted most of the web part definitions from the Web Part Gallery in one of our Site Collections. I know I can use the "Populate Gallery" button on the screen
that is displayed when selecting the "Add new document" to add web part definitions back to the gallery, but this has 2 problems. 1) I don't know which ones to add back, there are over 200 web parts and many of them should not be added.
2) The "group" field is left blank and defaults to "Custom".
Does anyone know if a way to add the correct web part definitions back to the gallery based on the features that are activated and also set the correct category "group" values?

Not an easy way, but if you find the feature definitions on the server of the web part features that were activated you will find copies of the .dwp or .webpart file. YOu can just grab copies of those and re-upload them to the web part gallery. The
other pieces required for the web parts to work should still be in place.

Using "View Selector" in the List View Web Part, changes the web part page to the view selected's page.

I am relatively new to Web Parts pages. I created a page with list view web part and a Infopath Form Web Part, which are connect via the "Get Form From" option. My users would like to be able to use views dependent on what
they are looking for. So I created different views. However, when I select the view from within the Web Part, it changes the web part page to the list view page. I must be doing something wrong. How do I configure the list view to show
the selected view and results within the existing "list view web part"?

Sorry, but this has not been answered to my liking. The "List View Web Part" has the ability for the user to select the view from within the web part, so there you should be able to select a different view and have it appear within the same web part.
Does anyone know how to complete this task?

Unable to add web part in the web part zone

We have a SharePoint 2010 site collection in which except the home page all other pages are working normally. When we try to click on 'Add a Web Part' button on the home page we won't get the web part gallery and hence we are unable to add any web parts
on the home page.
We checked the permissions, it is fine I have web application level full control.
Home page is not checkout to any body. All other site collections have good home pages where we are able to add web parts.
Please let me know how to fix this issue.

Check the page in SharePoint Designer to see if there are any customization on the page.
There are no customizations on the page. It just has Out of the Box web parts which are already added.
2. Did this issue occur with other user accounts?
Yes, issue is there for all the user accounts.
3. Set another page as home page to see if the issue still occurs.
I have set another page as home page but didn't see any issue.
4. Was there any error when editing the home page?
No, I don't see any errors while editing the home page.

Save as template kill the web part connection

Hi,
I have a Sharepoint web site and I would like to save it as a template in order to create several site with the same structure and the same web pages.
On some of my web part pages I have some webpart connected to each other (mostly BDC List web part and BDC related list web part). When I save the site as a template and create a new site based on this template most of the connection are not present in the
new site. Does anyone know what is the problem and how to solve it? I really need this to work as the site template will contains tens of pages with those connection and we will have to create tens of site with that template so manually recreating the connection
is not possible.

No web part connections are managed by sharepoint and are stored on the page on which the connected web part are as I know.
Any way I managed to find a solution. I deleted all the web part connections (Open sharepoint designer and deleted all the SPWebPartConnection tags.) and then I recreated all the connections within the browser. I don't know why but now it works.
The mysteries of SharePoint are endless.

How to make the web part and web part zone smaller?

the web part zone is big and when you add the web part the web part
is big also.
    So the question is how to you make web parts and web part zone

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to make the web part zone and web part smaller.
When you edit a page, you could change the height and width of the web part in Edit Web Part -> Appearance by typing in the Height and Width field. The size of the web part zone changes with the web part.

How can I reference a dtd in the Web-Inf directory from an xml file?

direcory (part of my web application)
weblogic\config\MyDomain\applications\sample\Web-inf
When I refer to the dtd from the xml file, as follows,
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" ?>
<!DOCTYPE application SYSTEM "test.dtd">
Weblogic tries to look for the dtd in the weblogic directory(the
place where I started the server from). How can I get it to read
the dtd in the Web-inf directory?
I'm using Weblogic6.0 SP1 on Windows NT 4.0

Two options:
1) Use SYSTEM "http://localhost:7001/sample/test.dtd"
2) Or use XML registry in WLS6.0

Pass Content Query Web Part ToolPart Value to XSL

I have extended the Content Query Web Part by adding a textbox control ToolPart. This is working, i.e. I am able to see the control, add a value in the textbox and save it. Is it possible to pass the value of this ToolPart textbox to the
xsl file? I found this article: http://blog.sharepointexperience.com/customitemstyle/ that describes how to first see all fields being passed to the webpart by creating a temporary
itemstyle with this code:
<xsl:for-each select="@*">P:<xsl:value-of select="name()" /></xsl:for-each>
I believe I next need to modify CommonViewFields of the *.webpart file to include the fields I would like to pass to xsl.
My question is how do I know the name of the field SharePoint is using to store the value of the textbox toolpart? The toolpart textbox is generically named (i.e. _textbox), so I do not think I can derive the the field name from the textbox created
in code.

Content Query Web Part and special characters in file names

Hi All,
Is there an out-of-box way to display periods in a file name if I am displaying a document library files? I do not want to end up doing a custom item style if possible.
For example, file name is 8.5x11Letterhead.docx, 8.5x11Resume.pdf etc. I do not want to display the file names as 85x11Letterhead.docx.

In my environment, it displays the filename which contains periods:
I would suggest you create a new page and insert a Content Query Web Part to perform the test again.

After adding list view into the web part page, the items and list control ribbon is not activated.

I created new webpart page and added one list view web part into the page.
However I can see the ITEMS and LIST tabs on ribbon area, but all the buttons are deactivated.
Do I have to activate any feature for this or any settings are needed for the webpart?
I already have full permission for this site.

How to upload the web query result to CSV/Text file

Kindly help me on the following.
1)       I have info-provider (IP), which has info-objects "company code" and "supplier".
2)       I built a query by putting company-code with a variable in free-charateristics and supplier-code in row.
3)       When I run this query, it will ask company-code as input and the result will be filtered using company-code.
4)       For this query, I created a web-template and assigned data-provider to display the data on the web.
5)       The user wants to enter input company-code='1000' and write the data in a CSV file in a specific directory. i.e, by clicking the execute button (after entering company code) , the result should go to the CSV or text file. i.e. the application should automatically generate the file with query results.
Note: The user should not use context menu to EXPORT TO CSV OR EXCEL file.
Please let me know, if there is any tutorial. Thanks a lot advance help.

Am looking to get the propeties of a list view web part - a document library's list view web part- using PowerShell
Manually I am able to do the same: the steps followed by me is given below:
1) I went to the

2) Edit the page
3) Edit the mydoclib1 view web part
4) go to the peroperties
5) Check the Server Render checkbox
is there anyway i can do this using power shell.

I am having problems downloading files from the web. After a number of files are downloaded, the system become sluggish, and then hangs. I traced the problem to the download history file: downloads.sqlite.

After downloading a number of 1.0 MB files, the system became very sluggish, and I started to get lots of (Not Responding) messages when trying to download or just use Firefox for browsing. Using Performance Monitor, I observed that the Firefox executable was growing larger and larger - up to as large as 1.2 GB on a system with 2.0 GB memory. Page faults were off the chart.
Looking for a similar problem, I found one that discussed the downloads.sqlite file becoming corrupted. I first noticed that this file was over 600 MB in size, so I deleted it. I then downloaded additional files, and observed that the new downloads.sqlite file would increase in size by about 150% of the size of each file that was downloaded. Once it would get up to 500 MB in size, the system started slowing down again.
I don't know the purpose of this file, but it appears that it keeps a full copy of every file downloaded, which may be the function of a download history file, but it does not seem correct that the file should grow in size without limit, and thus impact the system.
I would also appear that the Firefox executable is trying to read the entire contents of this file each time a new file is downloaded, which does not seem right.
Temporary fix is to periodically delete the downloads.sqlite file when it gets too large and starts impacting performance.. Apparently it is smart enough to open a new file if the old one is not found. I am not sure what the correct behavior for this file should be. Apparently is does not re-initialize when a new Firefox session is initiated.
