hi all,
        i have the leave request approval page linked to the workset and role Manager sel-service. im getting the preview of the page in the portal content administration. But when i login as MSS user, the role and workset are being displayed but the page is not being shown,im getting the following

Dynamic mandatory field error message is not getting displayed in webui

Hi,
In Appointment if the importance is HIGH i made Location as mandatory.For this i enhanced BT126H_APPT/ApptDetails. In the get_p_location() method of BTACTIVITYYH i have written the code.
Now the problem is Error message for this dynamic mandatory field is not getting displayed in webui.
I debugged in DO_FINISH_INPUT error message is getting generated but it is not getting displayed in ui.
Can anybody tell where the problem is?

How ever quick solution for your problem would be just keep your validation in 'DO_VALIDATE_INPUT' method of the view controller.
Means even if the User clicks on SAVE , Since it fails here , it would not allow you to go further.

Message details not getting displayed in Message monitoring of RWB

Hi,
I am trying to see how many messages in Message Monitoring by selecting Integration Engine option, Message counts are getting displayed like how many has been processed successfully,processed with errors as well.
When I click on message count a pop up screen opens and gives me no messages are not available even for the same day messages.
Can any body give me an idea like where i can set any parameter to display in detail of messages in integration engine for one week back as well.

I guess in this case your retention period is set to zero in SXMB_ADM. And this is the reason you cannot see the message even if they are an hour old.

In XI run tcode SXMB_ADM and then follow "Integration Engine Configuration ---> Specific Configuration". Now check the Archive & Deletion Current & Default Values and set the Retention period as per you need.

Error message is not getting displayed in customized subscreen

Hi Experts,
I have created customized sub screen for transaction BP. There are two fields namely CPS applicable and PPS applicable.
I am validating both fields against value if user enters same value as Y and Y . Then Error message should display
saying that 'It should not be same and please change the entry'. Its working fine when press enter on the sub screen.
But its not working where if users try to save the entries without entering enter button.
Please help me anyone regarding this issue.

you can do validations at Save Using BADI or Events ( please ref DEZ_'s Posting), in my case im using BADI to do validation , reason is...user was able to save witout going to the custom tab , thats y im using BADI and Screen(Custom) Validations.

BI Publisher report page not getting displayed on ADF

Scenario: OBIEE 11g integration to Webcenter Portal
The Dashboard pages which are developed in Answers are getting displayed correctly to ADF Page.
ISSUE: But a dashboard page with BI Publisher report page displays error 404 on integration to ADF Page via BI Presentation services connection.
This BI Publisher report shows up without any errors on the OBIEE Dashboard Page.

Part of Web page not getting displayed in IE6.0

Hi,
I m facing an strange problem, my saftware was properly working in IE 5.5 but when i check it on IE 6.0 part of web page which gets loaded through a Servlet does not gets properly displayed, ie the lower portion gets hidden, to an extent of surprise if i resize page manully then it gets displayed.
i have to give demo to the client day after tommarow, if any one can help me in this context, that is how to get it rectified,

Hi,
In all probabilities thats a display problem rather than codes. Try different settings on your computer. If not try running that on someone else's comp whcih has ie6 but does not have a refresh rate problem. Even if you think that migth be code related you might try a javascript function to resize your page on the body onLoad function.

ViewController as the projects.I am encountering a strange problem.When I define a JSF JSP page in ViewController directly
then I am able to run the page whereas when I design a page in WEB-INF\template I encounter an error.I have checked the logs of
OC4j and have found that in case of successful page execution I am getting the following lines.

Per the J2EE specification, pages under WEB-INF (or any subdirectory of WEB-INF) should not be directly accessible.
Solution - don't put your files in WEB-INF if you want them to be browser accessible. People can and do put things like templates and page fragments in WEB-INF (and in ADF 11g, pages as well, as they are accessed via a task flow and not directly), but these files are accessed internally by other components, and not directly via a HTTP request from the user.

Login Page not getting Displayed after 10.1.3 Home Upgrade in R12

Hi,
We are performing an Upgrade of 12.0.6 to 12.1.1.
We have just finished the upgrade of 10.1.3 Home to 10.1.3.4. After the successful completetion of Patchset Installation, as a part of Instance
Validation , we found that we were not able to get the R12 Login Page displayed.
On Checking the Apache Logs, The Error Message looked as below:

I moved forward with the remaining Pre-Upgrade Tasks, Applied Maintainence Pack and then completed the Post Upgrade Tasks.
I am very delighted to let you know that my Upgrade from 12.0.6 to 12.1.1 was successful. I got the feeling of GLADIATOR :) when I saw the Login Page appearing for the first
time after the Upgrade.

ADF web pages not getting displayed inside the frame

I am working with an Oracle Application called "Oracle Transportation Management"...to which our Development Group have asked to log an issue to this forum thread. Please let us know if you can assist:
Client has added an external link to an ADF web page in OTM and when they click the link, it gives an error message saying it cannot be displayed within frame. Per the client, if they add frame busting to the deployment descriptor, it makes other screens in OTM to open in new window.
ERROR:
Warning: Unable to load content in a frame. Frame content will load at the top level.
we tried setting "oracle.adf.view.rich.security.FRAME_BUSTING" to "never", but this makes all selections open in a new window.
How do we correct this?

wrong forum. If this is an existing application that you are not developing then the problem needs to be tracked by the application owner. If this happens to be Oracle Applications then you can use one of their forums here on OTN. Note that normally setting frame bursting to never indeed should solve the problem

Custom message is not getting displayed after raising do_not_save

Hi all,
In Order_save BADI, based some conditions, we were throwing custom messages.
FYI., code used,
CV_OWN_MESSAGE = 'X'.
MESSAGE 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxx' TYPE 'W' Raising do_not_save.
After Solman upgrade from 7.0 to 7.1, system is not displaying custom message and
system throwing message like "The document could not be saved" only after execution of above message statement.
How can I overwrite this system message.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Problem in BADI, error message not getting displayed

Hello Experts,
I am facing a strange problem in BADI.
The requirement is that the user should not be allowed to change the plant field
on the screen of standard MM transctions for PO/PR amendment.
I have written the code in separate BADIs for PO and PR.
I am displaying an error message if the user tries to change the field.
For PO, it is working fine.But for PR, the same code is not working.
The control is going over to the BADI for PR and rest of the code is working fine.
But the error message is not getting displayed for PR amendment.
Can anybody please suggest the possible cause of problem and some solution to it.

Support messages not getting displayed in Messages Tab - Solar01/02

Hi,
I am having an issue in displaying the support messages under the message tab of Solar01 and Solar02. If I try to create a new message, the notification pops up and also gets saved. But the message does not get displayed under the tab.
I can find that the message is properly created through transaction monitor.Even if I try to manually assign the support message number in Messages tab it gives an error saying the number does not exist.We are using SOLMAN 4.0 SP 11.

Dear Prabanath,
       I am not too sure you will be able to assign numbers to support messages. Run the report CRM_DNO_MONITOR and get the full number from the report and insert the ticket number in issue messages tab and click on save and go back one screen, it will ask you if you want to save, select yes.
   That worked for me. Recently I have strugged to resolve this. We are on Solman 4.0 SP12. Check if you have all necessary permissions for you and do you have any thing in sm21 or st22 by any chance if the issue is related to support pack ?

HT201210 I'm trying to update my iOS to 6.0, using iTunes (with my 4s connected via USB and WiFi is on also). I get a message that 'there are purchased items on my iPhone that have not been transferred to my iTunes library. Yet, I can't find those items!

I'm trying to update my iOS to 6.0, using iTunes (with my 4s connected via USB and WiFi is on also). I get a message that 'there are purchased items on my iPhone that have not been transferred to my iTunes library. Yet, I can't find those items! Help! There is not error message number just the text message. I've searched for an answer but have found nothing on "transfering items purchased to your iTunes library".

LOV selection fails when there are validation errors on the base page

Hi
I have lovs and some other required fields on a page . If there are any validation error on one of those text fields and if I open the LOV (not related to the text fields) and tries to select
an item from the LOV search results, it doesn't do it until unless I go back to the base page and correct all the validation errors on the text fields eventhough those text fields have nothing to do with the LOV.
Any suggestion is appreciated.

I am on Anwar's team, and I've been dealing with the same problem, although on a different page.
The JSPX for a contrived example is below. I can provide backing bean code, if needed.
The form contains two LOVs. Both fields are required. If you leave both fields blank and click Continue, you get a red box around both fields and error messages are displayed. If you then click the magnifying glass to select from the first LOV, the LOV pop-up is rendered. However, you cannot make a selection, either by double-clicking a line item or by clicking OK (the OK button has no effect). All you can do is cancel.
Interestingly, the act of clicking the magnifying glass on the first LOV gets rid of the red box around that field. So, once you cancel out, the second LOV actually does work. If there were more than two fields on the page, that wouldn't happen. The problem seems to be that the LOV doesn't work unless there are no validation errors on the page other than for the LOV which is being invoked.
As you can see, immediate="true" is set on both LOVs. The behavior is the same whether this is true or not.
I'm left thinking there must be something obvious that we're missing... but none of us can see it.
